story full of adventures, fun, emotion and joy. agile and interesting development. I was hooked right on the first few pages.

This has the same vibes as the other volumes, I wish I could have read the whole thing since I have to wait until Februray. A part towards the end was kind of confusing but overall I liked this about as much as the other volumes

Still going strong! This was my favorite arc of the podcast, and I'm looking forward to reading the full adaptation once it's out. The art and colors are unparalleled as usual! Minor complaints from a longtime fan about some of the tweaks to dialogue and timeline, but nothing egregious, and I assume they were all done with some kind of intentionality beyond my view as a listener/reader. Looking forward to the rest!

This book is fun and entertaining while being visually pleasing to look at. There are many details to notice long after the page has been read. This installment brings back loveable characters that we have grown to love. Would not recommend reading as a stand alone.

I'm so excited for this! This little sample just made me all the more excited. I can't wait to get my hands on the full graphic novel in February. The art is on point as always and the beginning of the story has already hooked me. Can't wait until February.

One of my less favorite of the arcs of The Adventure Zone: Balance, but this little sample has given me hope that what I didn’t like in the podcast is going to be reworked, different, or outright removed in this adaptation.

Carey Pietsch’s art continues to delight me! And I cannot wait to see Refuge explored with her pen. And the hints included sooner of the overarching plot has me almost vibrating with excitement.

These two chapters have made me so much more excited for this installment than any of the previous books!

Each book in The Adventure Zone is better than the last, but this sampler really shows just how good the McElroys and Carey Pietsch have gotten at adapting the podcast to graphic novel form. I'm a long time fan, but this book is so ding-dang delightful that it felt like I was experiencing it again for the first time. The way they've woven the flashbacks into the "present day" story is exquisite—and Carey's art is just as delicious, mwah, chef's kiss. I made the worst noises looking at Taako's awful expressions (I say lovingly.)

I am on the edge of my seat waiting to read the rest. February 23rd cannot come soon enough.

This series is just a hoot! I do fall squarely into the target audience. I’m playing in a Pathfinder/3.5 game the day tomorrow…. This book and every book in the series is always good for a laugh if you’re a tabletop rpg player.

The boys are at it again! This time: more worms and death. (Even more death than usual and this time the boys aren't the cause!) Magnus, Merle, and Taako have been sent by the bureau to investigate strange happenings in a seemingly once normal town. Not to spoil anything, but let's just say it's time loop time. I have been SO excited about The Eleventh Hour graphic novel.. I have been so curious how they were going to adapt this ARC of the podcast and I am so thrilled to see how amazing it looks. I deeply adore these characters, the story, and this adaption. I will be patiently waiting for the full story. For now, I will relisten to the podcast and dreamscape the rest of the graphic novel. Only ~time~ will tell what awaits these boys!
