5 stars! I could not put this down, I thoroughly enjoyed reading frost. I was so excited to receive this arc, C.N. Crawford is one of my favorite authors. The book had me hooked from the beginning. I really liked the characters, Ava was a great main character and the plot was amazing. I can’t wait for the next book. Thank you Netgalley for sharing this book in exchange for a honest review.

I have been a fan of C.N Crawford for a while now - so am familiar with their writing style and enjoy most of their books!
Frost - is a great addition to what they write best. Tension filled enemy to lovers. Although I guess technically, Ava and Torin don't seel the deal as it where in this book. The slow build up looks like it will be spread over a couple of books.
C.N Crawford know how to write sassy relatable heroines and Ava didn't disappoint- but she has a long way to go if she will replace Arianna as one of my fave leads of theirs!
Torin - is the typical broody love interest but it's the tension between the pair of them that really invested me in their relationship.
The reality TV / competition to win the chance at becoming the Seelie Queen is going to be a love hate situation for readers. But the writing is engaging enough that even those that aren't fans of that particular theme will still enjoy this book.
This was a fast paced read, and once I started it genuinely was hard to put down. It ends in the best way - leaving you desperate to find out more. C.N Crawford know how to hook you in and this is a great start to a new series!

Frost is a novel that is YA, has faeiries, and a crazy competition to marry the Seelie King. It was nearly impossible for me to put this ARC down because oh my god, it was a rollercoaster from start to finish. I was excited, nervous, worried during the entire book for our main character because she joins this completion after finding her boyfriend cheating on her. Obviously what she doesn't realize when she joins in, is that there are other competitors who would do ANYTHING to ensure they are the victors.

This book definitely gave me Hunger Games vibes, but it's set in a fantastical world that reminded me a lot of Sarah J Maas' ACOTAR world. This book was the best mix of the two, giving the reader a story that is so much more than the competition. The world building in this book was so easy to follow and to understand that I didn't have to think too much about it as I was reading, and instead I was able to focus on the things happening between the characters.

By far one of the best fantasy YA books I've read! Cannot wait for more from C.N. Crawford!

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC of this book.

I read this book in one sitting it was really good definitely a different take on the fae I didn't really care for the reality TV part that played into the story but other then that it was good ill definitely pick up the next book to see what happens.

This book was so good! If you ever thought you'd want to read The Hunger Games meets the Bachelor, this is it. I really liked the world that was built, and I liked all of the characters. The cliff hanger at the end just makes me want to pick up the next book as soon as its available.

I really liked the romance in this with the marriage of convenience and forbidden love tropes done well. I highly recommend reading this book!

Everything I love about the genre was here, while feeling absolutely unique. The plot was engrossing and action filled. Ava, a disenfranchised fae living in the human world since an infant, catches the eye of the Fae King in a drunken rant after finding her partner with another woman on her birthday. The disrespect she gives him about his bride search is epic. This snark continues through the book, and really makes it a 5 stars for me. I voluntarly reviewed an ARC from Netgalley.

I loved this book. We follow Ava who was born Fae but was sent to the human world. Even as an outcast she made the best of her life, until one day the life she created was completely changed. She’s forced to return to the Fae realm and make a deal with King Torin.

We were blessed with a second POV from King Torin who has secrets he cannot reveal. Those secrets could be the downfall of the realm, but with Ava’s help he’s hoping to make all right.

I loved the pace and detail of this book. The world surrounding Ava seems extremely interesting and I’d love to know more about the realm.

This book is just what I needed! So much so I read it in one sitting!

Ava, a fae raised in the human world, gets embroiled in a plan to be the next Queen of the Fae in a marriage of convenience deal.....but first she has to survive the competition!

This was a brilliant fantasy romance with beautiful, descriptive writing of the world and I almost felt like I was there!

The chemistry! The tension! Torvin was absolutely delish!

I loved Ava, her character growth, how she came into herself. Her bestie, Shalini, was a breath of fresh air!

A new-to-me author that I will 100% be reading again. Off to look at her back catalogue after that cliffhanger!

This book was really cute! With a strong leading woman, the reader gets introduced to this fantasy romance following an unexpected arrangement of convenience that is soon to hopefully replenish the power that is dwindling in the faerie realm. Certainly a welcomed change—of—pace compared to many other fantasy/romance books out there. Thank you to NetGalley and Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op for the ARC!

I was given an ARC by NetGalley for an honest review.

Y'ALL. OMG. THIS IS THE BOOK.

I am not even kidding, reading the description is not enough, you HAVE TO READ THIS BOOK.

Frost is the first installment of the Frost and Nectar series and when I say you are in for a treat, you better believe it.

In this book we follow Ava Jones a low-born fae thrust into the human world after having her own kind turn their backs on her, we meet Ava at the lowest point in her life, homeless, heartbroken and distraught.

But one thing we know about Ava is that she has never been one to back down from a fight and bowing to a king of the people that thew her away like trash is surely one battle she can easily win.

Or is it?

.......

Being brought to a land that was never her home in order to change her life around sounds like a great thing...

....Right?

But after flaws are pointed out and mistakes are made, will Ava finally be able to find her true lineage or will she come to her demise? In order to find out, read this book. It is not one to miss!

If you are into dark romance, books that will constantly have you on the edge of your seat wanting to scream at both of the MCs about how the answers are so blindly in their face this is a book you are going to want to read. It is frustratingly the most action packed, forbidden romance book I have read in awhile.

All in all if you leave the review know one thing is absolutely true...

YOU NEED TO READ THIS.

This was my first C.N. Crawford book and it did not disappoint! It had me hooked from the beginning. Ava is a fae living in the human world, who after a very 'New Girl' opening ends up accepting a marriage offer from the fae king. She goes to Faerie to compete in a 'Bachelorette'-but-with-swords tournament to become queen. And yes, it's televised.

This book is action packed, funny, ridiculous and pretty dark in places. I loved Ava and Torin. I though Ava was especially fresh as she surprised me at points I was sure I was going to be served a cliche. I felt the rest of the cast was weaker in terms of characterization, but there's time for that in the next book(s), which I'm very excited about. Especially because of that ending!!

If you enjoy fast paces, really fun low fantasy books I highly recommend this!

I really enjoyed this book, I found the main characters to be very charming and interesting. Also, the side characters are fun and the "enemies" are dynamic and complex. The one factor that was a bit of a let down was the fact that the big twist was quite obvious to me. However, that did not deter from the enjoyability of the book in general. If you are a fan of Crawford's other books then this one will be right down your alley too. I will definitely be looking out for the next book in the series.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I've been a fan of C. N. Crawford since the Court of the Sea Fae series, the author has what I want from the fantasy novel. This book was a great start to this series, it has what I enjoyed from previous books by the author. The characters felt like interesting people and worked in the universe that was set. I was invested in what was happening and it left me excited to read what comes next.

"He stared out onto the landscape, his eyes flecks of ice. “The frost is descending upon us, but Faerie is as beautiful as ever.” I blinked in the bright light. “I’ve never experienced anything quite like this. Waking up to the most perfect winter morning with an unsullied landscape.” I breathed in, letting the cool air fill my lungs. “I never get up this early.”
