This book was just ok, and probably not one I would recommend.

A few notes on the audiobook narration. This narrator did not appeal to me at all. In particular I didn’t like how she did the male voices - it sounded like she was talking through clenched teeth every time she did a male voice. I also thought some of her female voices were over-the-top caricatures. Ultimately I think the narration detracted from the story and made it harder for me to enjoy it.

I liked parts of the story but overall thought it dragged and had some rather preposterous plot points. Tyler’s drama with his ex and her son was rather ridiculous, as was Maggie’s dating pact with her best friend. I didn’t really understand the romance. It seemed like their relationship was based almost entirely on physical attraction. I have no idea what these two people have in common beyond their chemistry. I love a steamy romance but the characters’ moments of intimacy need to connect to the progression of the romance and I didn’t see that here. I could’ve easily seen Maggie end up with another character in the book. I just didn’t see how Maggie and Tyler were good for each other or how their relationship will last in the long run.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an ARC of this audiobook.

A feel good romance about second chances. I would have liked this book to be a bit easier to follow. You'll get your HEA with this one.

Can you go from enemies to friends then to lovers and back to friends? This sweet, but angst-ridden romance explores just that, but wrapped in even more depth as there is much more to the story than just that! Interesting characters that have a closely woven friendship that make room for a new person, although not always smoothly. A great plot that winds through many emotions from friendship and laughter to steamy bedroom aerobics to tears and heartbreak and back again. It does end with a happily ever after for those who need it, but even better there are enough characters that could easily lead the author to turn this into a series which would be awesome! I really enjoyed the witty banter, the cohesive friendship and the romance. This is one definitely worth listening to!

Story was relatable and realistic, but moved slowly. Would have loved more banter and faster pace. A good simple story.

I really enjoyed this story. It was pretty spicy, so that was a nice change to what I’ve been reading lately. I liked the back stories of Maggie and Tyler as well as the SOLID overcoming of those very real traumas. I finished this in one day, if that says anything about how much I liked it.

The plot of this book was exciting, but the execution was not. It was a little bland for me. There was something missing between Maggie and Tyler and ultimately I just couldn't get into the book. The narration was okay - but I think that was more on the story and my boredom than the narrator.

Tumble into chaos with this frustrating, emotional, heartracing, heartbreaking, unpredictable, irresistible, bundle of love.

I couldn’t get through this book. I thought it was boring, and I didn’t connect well with the characters. I just didn’t feel a spark between the hero and heroine. There just wasn’t much of a story here. I thought the audiobook narrator did a decent job. Huge thanks to the audiobook publisher and Netgalley for allowing me to listen and review this book.

I wish this was dual POV with a slightly more seasoned narrator. I read this story a few years ago and think it's a good enough story but I will admit the narrator dragged the book a lot.

Maggie Lawson learns that her soon to be husband is already married with a family she vows to just be completely done with men. However, her bestie will not let that fly and she has roped Maggie into a pact to get out on 1 day per month. While Maggie is totally against it she reluctantly agrees thinking this was easy enough to get everyone off of her back and 1 date a month keeps her from getting her heartbroken again.

Insert Tyler Daniels heartthrob neighbor who's struggling to get back his ex in hopes to be a better father to the child he thinks is his. This also means - He can't really date Maggie so taking her up on her offer when her first date bails seems like a no brainer.

Do Maggie and Tyler have what it takes to keep the friendship going or do they weaken, cross the lines and finally have their HEA?
