No matter our circumstances, God has created us for a purpose. This is our mission possible. Tasks for God’s Kingdom. By working outside of ourselves, we build significance toward the eternal.

This is a chapter book, not a devotional, although there is one available. Each of the ten chapters are about 12 pages long with different headings to further identify topics like developing an individual mission, valuing yourself as God does, purpose over preference, purpose in the present, the resistance and the waiting, embracing the grind and making your life count. Tebow includes some personal examples, stories of preteens that will inspire the reader and analogies that teach spiritual lessons. The book ends in an invitation to a life that has purpose and one that counts.

This book is suitable for the advertised ages of 10-12 boys and girls. I received this book from the author/publisher free of charge, with no expectation of a positive review.

Title: Mission Possible Young Readers Edition:
Go Create a Life that Counts
By A.J. Gregory and Tim Tebow

Genre:
Non-Fiction, Christian

Recommended Ages:
4th grade– to Adult

Favorite Quotes:

"God knows the plot twists and turns that are coming, as well as the opportunities. Rest in this. The key is to start where you are. He is always giving us opportunities to depend on him rather than ourselves. When you don't know what to do, depend on God. Pursue the WHAT, and God will take care of the why and how."

"Without a clear mission, you're aimlessly going through life without intent or purpose...God created me [us] with a purpose; to know Him and to make Him known."

"Choose to trust him in every instant. And remember you have a specific role to play in bringing faith, hope, and love to a world in need."

"Whenever you are forced to make a decision between purpose and preference, choose purpose. It'll win every time."

Summary/ Review:

Are you a Christian? Do you believe God has a purpose for you? If you aren’t a Christian, do you wonder what your purpose in life might be?

Our youth are consistently being fed negative thoughts, self-doubt, and consistently comparing themselves to others. The effects are damaging. As a parent and educator, I see the challenging lives our youth lead, multiple times a day, both working in the secondary schools, and with our youth at church. I LOVE THIS BOOK! It is necessary for our future generation. I am honored I was chosen to be a reviewer. It had a huge impact on me both as an adult for purpose in my own life, but also, as a parent for my children. I loved this book so much I purchased one for each of my children. I highly recommend reading it together, taking it chapter by chapter, and discussing the details. Tebow and Gregory are excellent role models for our future generation. This novel encourages the reader to make every step in their life count. The author's narrative of his life changing stories and the stories of others, are relatable, moving, intentional, and impressionable. They leave the reader with a stronger desire to accept a more purposeful life, embracing God in every step moving forward.

Sidenote→ I am a big Tebow fan, not for football, but for his foundation to support children with special needs. My passion is one in the same. This book includes some of his experiences working with these children which fosters empathy and builds faith in all of us!

Thank you to Tim Tebow, A.J. Gregory, and Penguin Random House, Netgalley for the Advanced Reader Copy for free. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I had a difficult time reading this book. While the subject matter and examples given were very informative I do not think it is for young readers as the title implies. As an adult of 63 I got lost in some of the concepts and explanations. I’m not sure if it would hold a young reader’s attention.

Of all athletes, NFL football players are probably the least expected to write books about anything except possibly their successes in the sport. Tim Tebow does that. He offers traditional Christian advice about seeking to glorify God through one's work, and discusses the values of patience, persistence, and discipline. He has more to say about his current role, using the Tim Tebow Foundation to provide treatment for children wit physical disabilities, than about his first career in football,. This book would be a good choice for any high school student, not only the athletes.

I received a free copy of, Mission Possible Young Reader's Edition, by Tim Tebow, from the publisher and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. I have always admired Tim Tebow, his values and morals are inspiring. This is a great book for young people, to learn more about themselves, their faith, and how to find your mission/purpose for life.

Thank you NetGalley and WaterBrook & Multnomah for the advanced read copy of this book!

My son and I read this together. He is 9, a huge football fan, a flag football player, and is at an impressionable age. The amount of practical application combined with spiritual encouragement was enough to lift his spirits and want to be the a leader on the field, as well as being the best athlete he can be!

We will definitely be purchasing this book as gift for his friends, and recommend it to everyone!

We rate this book 5/5 stars!
