I would like to thank Netgalley, Kensington Publishing and Molly Jebber for the E Arc of this book. This is the 6th book in the Amish Charm Bakery series.
Rachael has been helping Nathan with his children since their mother passed away, she also works part time at the bakery in town where her sister-in-law also works. She is happy and loves what she does but still wants a husband and family of her own. Maybe Nathan is for her, that is until newcomer to the town Caleb enters the bakery. They are immediately drawn to each other and soon Caleb is asking if he can court her. Nathan when he finds out, realises that he should have asked Rachael was well and does so. Rachael has a big decision to make, does she go with Nathan a man she knows and with children she loves or Caleb with whom she has a strong connection but who wants one thing she can’t give him? We see the Rachael struggle with her decision. I did like that she and other characters relied on their faith and put God at the centre of all that they did.
There were many other stories tied into this one, several plot lines running along side each other. I liked the interplay between the Amish characters and the Englisher ones, they live very much side by side and will help each other when needed. It was also good that the author used the two main Englisher characters to give historical contexts to the story.
This is a good story that tugs at your heartstrings in many ways. If you enjoy Amish stories then this series could be for you.

Rachel's Decision is the 6th book in the Amish Charm Bakery series by Molly Jebber. This is the story of Rachel, a young Amish woman who lost her fiance to a buggy accident and also has a limp from that same accident, as well as a much-guarded secret. Enter Nathan, a widower with two small children whom Rachel has been caring for since their mom died. Next comes Caleb, a young, single Amish man. He's moved to Charm with his brother and sister-in-law, and their little daughter. Caleb and Rachael instantly his it off, and he soon wants to spend the rest of his life with her. He loves children but she won't be able to give him any, due to the buggy accident. Will they be able to overcome this obstacle, and where does this leave Rachael and Nathan's relationship?

I enjoyed this story and getting re-acquainted with old characters and meeting new ones. There were a couple of unusual things in this Amish story. One was the laziness and manipulativeness of Caleb's sister-in-law, Frannie, and the other was the instant friendship of Rachel with outsider Adelaide. Amish people are known for their industriousness and getting along attitude, as well as their standoffishness of becoming close friends with outsiders.

I was provided a complimentary e-copy of this novel from #NetGalley. All opinions herein are strictly my own.

This last book in An Amish Charm Bakery series is one that captured me from the first page. The characters were charming and filled with life despite difficulties they had faced, but with faith nothing is impossible with God.

Rachael was a dedicated worker at the Amish Charm Bakery and enjoyed caring for a widower’s two children. She had a secret from her past and thought possibly Nathan would notice her one day. Caleb Yutzy walked into the bake shop and was drawn to Rachael. His life hasn’t been easy either but he is a hard worker. Unexpected circumstances of life brought sorrow to the community. One character is insistent on her way but with resoluteness and faithfulness by Caleb the community will see God’s hand at work.

Jebber penned another heartfelt tale filled with family, faith, commitment to God, family and community, an intertwined romance where Rachael and Caleb had to depend upon what their heart felt from God.

Thank you to Netgalley, Kensington Publishing and the author for an ARC of this remarkable Amish tale. I was not required to write a favorable review but have shared my own personal thoughts.

This was a fun quick read. The insta love situations were not really believable but worked well with the story. I will say although I can’t remember the title or the author the exact same scenarios used in an Amish book I read before this one. It was so close it felt like a reread.

A Tug at Your Heartstrings Story

I found Rachel's Decision to be a tug at your heartstrings story with many ups and downs. The story is one of love vs. obligations and circumstances, truths that can keep love at bay, and obstacles that turn the road to love into a bumpy ride loaded with detours. It is also a story of love and support of community and friends. However, most importantly, it is a story of faith and trusting God and His will, which has the power to overcome anything.

I fully enjoyed Rachel and Caleb's story. It had me on an emotional roller coaster, taking me from happy to sad to frustrated and to hopeful. Nevertheless, the end result was that it left me with a smile on my face.

I greatly enjoyed this wonderful Amish romance story and recommend that you add it to your TBR pile.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with a complimentary copy of this book. All comments and opinions are strictly my own.

Rachael's Decision
Molly Jebber
I will give it 2 stars but just barely.

So, many things are incorrect within this book. The Amish, especially 100 years ago, do not typically pray out loud. Why was there was no research into what Amish would have been like 100 years ago? Why is this classified as a historical fiction book?
Nothing to indicate this is historical fiction. Almost 20% in before there is a brief discussion about the potential for what will be WW1 and then just a few brief references after that.
The behavior of the main characters is extremely bold for both the Amish men and women, especially in this setting.
Dawdi house is the term for the small house behind the main house. I feel like the author just threw in some Amish words and called it good enough. I am disappointed at how very little research went into this book.
I will not read this author again nor recommend her.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher and Netgalley.

This is another sweet story in Molly Jebber's Amish series that is centered in the bakery in the town of Charm. The story works as a stand-alone.
Rachael has a full life working with her sister in law Magdalena at the bakery, attending services and helping a widower with his young children. She loves the little ones and wonders if one day their daed will notice that she could be there for him once he starts living life again. Then handsome Caleb Yutzy walks into her life and everything changes very quickly.
The story is filled with the sadness of losing loved ones yet community members including Rachael and Caleb move forward while grieving. There is a lot going on in their lives including a secret from Rachael's past that may ruin a loving future for them. Two other people are intent on marrying Rachel and Caleb so conflict arises. There are some predictable portions to the story but it is an enjoyable read that emphasizes that God has plans for His faithful. We need to trust Him. I received this advanced reader's copy from the publisher and NetGalley. This is my own personal opinion about it.

Loved the setting of Charm, Ohio and the bake shop. Readers will feel a part of the community and recognize characters from previous novels. I loved the closeness of the community, Amish as well as English. The Amish complete faith in God and their reliance on him is encouraging. I felt that the courtships of the couples went a little too fast but realize that this was a different time period. I liked that Rachael was allowed the time to make her decision at her own pace. I found the story to be very predictable but still enjoyed it.

A light romance.

Rachael lives with her mother and helps with her widowed neighbor children. She dreams about becoming a mom someday. She hopes that Nathan and her will fall in love and raise his children the Amish way. Nathan is very much grieving his first wife and is not interested in love. But love is in the air when a new family moves into Charm, Ohio. The year is 1915 and times are changing even for the Amish. The new family the Yutzy's are a husband/wife and child and their single brother Caleb. Caleb visits the bakery that Rachael works during the day and a instant connection between Caleb and Rachael appears. They both discover how much they have in common and the courting begins. There are some problems along the way that bring their story along. Rachael and Caleb remain true to the scriptures of thinking more of the other than themselves and they find themselves separated for a time. However, a saloon girl brings them together with the best gift possible.

Many different characters with this romance that add to the drama and to the journey of faith.

A special thank you to Kensington Books and Netgalley for the ARC and the opportunity to post an honest review

This is a sweet read! It's a quick fast paced light read. I am a fan of Amish romance novels due to their clean, heartfelt themes and just simplicity. Molly Jebber did a great job interweaving a story of a girl named Rachael who is torn between being in love and marrying, and not marrying to protect the one she loves. This story has the themes of true love, finding one's self, following what you want, and family throughout. Great novel! I read this as an ARC from Netgalley and Kensington books.

This is an Amish romance novel, which I love, and being set in the 1900's is a plus for me because I also live historical novels!

The story is a bit sad in places, but is big on faith and portrays support for one another and building one another up with kindness, love, and prayers.

I loved all the characters, especially Nathan and Rachael. The community of Charm, Ohio is so charming and beautiful.

Excited to read more from this writer

Thank you Kensington Books for allowing me to read Molly Jebber’s new book, Rachael’s Decision through NetGalley.

Molly has shared with us a whirlwind Story in her new book Rachel’s Decision. this is book 6 in the Amish charm bakery series. it is a wonderful addition to the series.
Rachael Schlabach Has given up any idea of marriage and a family since she was in a buggy accident that killed her Fiancé and left her with a limp. She busied herself with her work in the bakery and caring for her widowed next door neighbor’s children.

Enters Caleb Yutzy. There is an immediate Connection between the two. Caleb is eager to court and nothing could please Rachel more. That’s when all the conflict starts.

The only way they can find happiness is to place their lives in God’s hands and follow his well.

This is an exciting, well written book, and one to be enjoyed by any Amish fiction reader.

I gladly recommend this five-star book and the opinions given here on my own. I was under no obligation to give a positive review.

A sad but uplifting historical Amish romance that takes place around 1915. The location in the book is Charm Ohio. Having been there I can truthfully say that if you blink you have missed the town, but it is very Amish. In between blinks there are some cool Amish shops there that I found to be to my liking. This book had many Amish characters and a few Englisch ones like the Sheriff and the Doctor. One thing I really appreciated about this book was that the characters frequently prayed to God for guidance and help when needed. I thought this book was the best one I have read in this series. There is a rollercoaster of emotions and twist and turns in the story. I loved the gifted writer’s style of writing and the smooth flow of the story. I thought this book was very entertaining and realistic of the simplicity of life and the way people lived in the early 1900s. I felt the time I spent reading this book was very well spent!

Rachael Schlabach is a Amish woman in her mid twenties. A noticeable limp has kept her from romance and getting married. Rachael works at the bakery in Charm and in her spare time she helps out a widower with two children . She would have considered a marriage of convenience to Nathan Wagler because she loved his children. But then Caleb Yutzy moves to town and he becomes attracted to Rachael. She keeps a secret from him but someday she will have to be honest with Caleb. When Nathan decides to ask Rachael to court him she becomes torn between the two men . What would God have Rachael to do in this situation?

I highly recommend this book to readers of Amish Romance Fiction. Fans of Molly Jebber won’t want to miss reading this book. This is book 6 of the Amish Charm Bakery series. I recommend reading this series in order because some of the characters are carried over from the other books in this series.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions expressed here in this review are my own.

This is my favorite book by this author.
My favorite because of love, family and friendship is strong throughout this sweet tale.
And I liked how if it's meant to be it will happen. There's a certain character that is pretty persistent and is a very strong believer about that.
The sweet messages of faith is a reminder that God is always in control no matter what.
I loved the many prayers that were throughout the book.
Rachael especially leaned hard on the Lord even though I thought some of her decisions were kind of silly but yet at the same time I could sort of understand her if that makes sense.
Frannie was a hot mess and mighty lazy. I really didn't like her much. I thought her rude at times too.
Another thing I loved was that the truth always comes out no matter how hard you try to hide it.
I didn't want this book to end. I enjoyed it very much. Jebber is just that good.
I always look forward to her stories. I can't say it enough that this is my favorite and I am very happy that Rachel got her own story. This series is awesome.
5 stars for a job well done!
I highly recommend.
My thanks for a copy of this book. I was NOT required to write a positive review. All opinions expressed are my own.

This was a wonderful Amish book. It shows after someone dies. How life and love and finding love again can happen. Even a miracle like having a baby but not your own can be a miracle but happen too. This was a wonderful story and it had lots of faith content in it. This book was approved for me to read and review by netgalley and the publisher.

This is a story about the complexities of life, the ironies and decisions we make and how they shape our lives going forward. Though set in an Amish community, many of the same issues are questions Englishers face. One of the things that struck me, reading it, was just how easy it was to forget what time period the book is set in -- 1915, just going into WWI -- because the Amish community has not really changed much in those hundred years. It is only through the mentioning of small things here and there that the reader remembers the setting, and that speaks volumes about the Amish people as a whole (in a good way). Literally a timeless story!
