Aebleskiver by Annika is a sweet, novella romance bringing together two old friends who belong together. Annika, a baker/shop girl, runs the local bakery and does a great job of it. Levka, an undercover Pinkerton agent, is in town with colleagues to ‘get his man.’ Levka certainly pursues Annika, follows her around town, treats her as a lady should be treated. Then, shows up at her doorstep when he needs serious help. It is a cute romance with a great recipe included as the others have in the series. I very much appreciate the ‘clean’ aspect of this HEA.

Aebleskiver by Annika was a pleasant follow-up to Ginger Cake by Glynna, one of my favorite romances by Linda Carroll Bradd.

Having managed her friend's bakery after Glynna married and moved away, Annika was lonely. She questioned her decision leaving her life as a seamstress and taking on the full-time job of baking for her entire town. It was both exhausting and rewarding, but she thought there had to be more to life.

When a childhood friend visited, his attention confused her. What Annika doesn't know was Levka Maksimillian's a Pinkerton agent working undercover. Levka was attracted to Annika but his job had always come first.

Short and sweet from their first-time meeting again until marriage, this romance can be read in an hour. Thank you to NetGalley, Linda Carroll-Bradd and Inked Figments for an arc in exchange for an honest review.
