This is my first novella by Faedra Rose, and I was not disappointed. She handles sweet and spicy in such a way that leaves readers hooked.

I felt like it cut off a bit at the end, and skips time during the night.

Overall, if youre looking for a short fantasy erotica novella, this is right up your alley.

This was a short and fun Halloween read that was on the smuttier end of spicy. Not a lot of plot—mostly just monster sex.

What did I just read??? This was absolutely not what I was expecting. Charleigh is dumped by her lousy boyfriend and she decides to walk a couple of miles home through the forest at night where she is attacked by wolves and saved by a pumpkin head man monster??? They communicate through telepathy and he can only visit her on Halloween but he wants to have pumpkin babies with her and visit her on Halloween each year. So there is definite spice and while I like a good monster romance this one was a bit more on the weird side than what I am used to. Not to mention I have so many questions about the pumpkin babies...

After being rescued from wolves by a headless horseman, you think you know where the story is going, but you are way off of the mark. This book was different and I really didn't like the ending, but hotness factor was about a 3.

This was so short. Not sure if it was worth the time I spent reading it. The smut was fine I guess. But other than that I would probably never read it again. Or anything from this author unless it was a full novel.

If you look through my reads to date needless to say this book is out of my comfort zone. I however wanted to give the monster romances a try. I also tend not to read a lot of novellas as I usually prefer a good amount of details. Now to my thoughts on this book & Author:

The author's writing was very engaging from start to finish. With enough detail to make you understand the characters views in this novella. The imagination of this author was on point for a Halloween novella!!

The book was fast paced as most novellas are. I knew going into this read that it was going to be a far reaching kind of romance & it definitely was. I can get down with a monster falling for a woman quickly & wanting to save her. I can also be down with him helping her get revenge on her ex, but what I didn't necessarily like or understand is why babies all it did was kind of confuse me!?!? There was definitely tons of spice in this novella & there were also some tender moments between the two leads. It felt like the author was trying to blend together the Jack the pumpkin king & pirates of the caribbean with a typical romantic novella theme. Overall I am not unhappy I read this.

The plot in this was not bad for a short story but there is a lot that I just couldn’t get behind. I wish there were several parts of the story that was expanded on more. It felt very clipped.

Sinister Desires is certainly a unique story. It was a fast-paced spicy romance perfect for Halloween. It was a good read.

After getting dumped on the side of the road by her ex boyfriend, Charleigh starts walking home. She doesn't want to call her family for a ride for whatever reason and would rather make the long trek home on foot. But then she thinks her time is up when she's surrounded by a pack of hungry wolves until a monster right out of a nightmare comes to her rescue.

The headless Horseman right out of the creepy Halloween story appears in front of her, having just saved her from the wolves. But he wants something in return for saving her and Charleigh is ready to give it to him. But he doesn't just want her body, he wants her to help him have offspring as well. At first I wasn't sure where this story was going or how Charleigh would fare after this monster was done with her but it turns out that they were meant for each other. After some very graphic and imaginative love scenes, we find out what the future holds for both of them.

If you like a monster romance with a little Halloween creepiness thrown in for good measure, then this will be right up you alley. It was a fun, quick read.

Well that was interesting…. I’m not sure how I feel about what I just read but I’m glad it was a short story. The writing was fine, and well in the short amount of time the characters were not lacking. I’m just not sure about the story.

Fun and naughty Halloween tale! Definitely creative and not for the prudish, but a quick and festive read - outcasts no more!

The writing wasnt so strong, but this was a fun halloween romp. Spicy and a little over the top, but I can't say Ive ever read anything like it.

Ok, ummm, where to begin? Charleigh, meets Pumpkin-Monster, instantly gets all hot and bothered for him. There is some revenge murder and a lot of what the hell did I just read. However, it is the perfect shut book for Halloween! 😁 There really isn't a great way to describe this particular book.

This was a wild ride. A super short read with some very interesting characters.

Despite the fact that this was monster smut, there was some stuff that didn't really make sense (the pumpkin patch??) but all in all it was a smutty Halloween read and that's what I signed up for.

This one was a wiiiild ride! If you’re looking for something quick, fun, totally ridiculous and smutty for Halloween - this is it. I wish we got more of the characters & I wanted the ending to be a little more satisfying, but overall it was a good time.
