This was an easy read that I flew through - the story was easy to follow and the characters were nice. I felt it wasn't as grumpy meets sunshine as you might expect it to be based on the blurb. I just wanted a bit more from it in terms of drama. Having said that it is a cute festive read.

Thank you NetGalley and Publisher for letting me receive this book as an ARC.
Let me start by saying I will read anything cowboy related. It is one of my favorite things. This book ranked higher than others in contemporary romance for me. This is also the third book in the series. A cute love story always starts with some type of barrier preventing your main characters from being together. This one involves the family Christmas Tree farm and a broken heart. Taison’s the male main character who had his heart broken during the Christmas holiday so he no longer sees it as the best day of the year. Cassie is the female lead and she is such a kind hearted character. It was wonderful to see how this relationship evolved and how Taison handled his previous heartbreak.

Short, sweet book about Cassie and Taison. Taison has taken on the running of the family ranch which includes the Christmas tree farm his mother had previously run. Cassie steps in to help. There are added complications leaving the reader to wonder if they will get their HEA!

Loved this book! The story was romantic and lovely. I really enjoyed the story throughout. What's not to like? A hot, sexy cowboy with the warmth to warm you on a cold winter night! Five stars!

Cassie helps Taison with his Christmas tree sale. Taison tries to do it all himself. Cassie has a need to take care of people so she tries to help with everything. He is still trying to find his way after his fiancée broke up with him.

The heroine is used to taking charge. The hero wants to keep his family tree farm going. The two of them need to see the love between them.

The story was wonderful and heart warming.

This is Book 3 of the Carson Christmas Games series. The story features Taison, who is a rancher and tree farm owner, and Cassie who works at the local church. Taison had once been seeing someone, Kat, and set to marry her, but because of his mother's declining health and inability to devote his time to the relationship, he and Kat drifted apart and ultimately ended up breaking up. Kat ended up marrying someone else and Taison hasn't taken it that well and doesn't go into town much to avoid seeing Kat or her new husband. He has pretty much been a grouch since the break-up. Kat had helped him with the Christmas tree business, and now that she's no longer around to help, he's in a bit of a bind. Cassie offers to help, but she also needs some assistance with an opportunity for her sister. As the two help each other out, they inevitably grow closer and they begin to develop feelings for each other. Cassie wants more from the relationship, but Taison is still stinging from his past break-up and determines he is fine as he is now. His attitude might just cause him to lose Cassie for good. Will he realize in time the special relationship he and Cassie have before it's too late?
A great story with a wonderful cast of characters! I enjoyed it and am glad to have had the opportunity to read it.

Cowboy's Christmas Heart was a sweet friends to lovers romance. Taison (MMC) gave up on romance when his ex left him before their wedding two years earlier.

Cassie (FMC) is feeling left out, and no longer needed by her sister or her church.
Cassie offers to help Taison run his Christmas tree farm, neither expecting the spark between them. Predictably, doubts and misunderstandings threaten their relationship.

Apparently, this book forms part of a series, but having read this book first, I don’t feel it is necessary to read the books in order. Will I read the others? Yes! I love Leslie North’s books, especially her sheikhs.

Thank you to NetGalley for a copy of this book in return for my honest review.

An entraining romantic read

Taison works his ranch by himself but running his christmas tree farm is too much for one person. He won't admit it, but he needs help after becoming withdrawn when his fiancée left him for another man. Cassie approaches him and suggests she'll assist with selling his trees if he sings with her sister who's attempting to win a singing scholarship.

Will Cassie's enthusiasm for Christmas encourage Taison to enjoy the coming season.

A good read for holidays or even non-holidays.

Thank you NetGalley and Relay Publishing, this review is my personal, unbiased opinion.

Cowboy's Christmas Heart is the third book in the Carson Christmas Games series written by Leslie North, but can be read on its own.

If you love the books by Leslie North, you won't be disappointed. It is based on the same winning structure and themes as the previous ones, and with a Christmas theme thrown in for a seasonal read; in short a perfect romance novel with the expected HEA.

Taison enjoys his solitude up on the farm at the top of the hill, where he can focus on his horses and not having to try to be sociable. Unfortunately Christmas is around the corner and his family ranch has always sold Christmas trees to homes near and far. He's really struggling to figure out how he can do it all on his own this year.

Reluctantly accepting help from Cassie, the master event organiser at the local church, he may just pull it off.

In the end there are other things being pulled off too (sorry for the cheesy pun).

A heart warming, feel-good, easy to read story, perfect for Christmas.

This was another quick read by Leslie North. I really enjoy her "Cowboy" books. In Cowboy's Christmas Heart, Taison is trying to ignore Christmas as his memories of prior ones are painful for him to remember. Cassie is full of Christmas spirit and Joy and she does a great job of getting Taison to start to participate in the Christmas Games. Taison slowly finds joy again (although there are a few hiccups along the way). A very sweet romance with a few steamy scenes thrown in. Strong 4 stars.

Thank you to Relay Publishing and Netgalley for this arc in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

It might be me, but I think the cover and the blurb are kinda misleading. HAHA I expected the guy to be an absolute grump with the usual cowboy muscles and scowls and everything. Turned out he was a cinnamon roll from the beginning. He wasn’t a Grinch at all, just a bit down from past breakup.

The story was easy with no drama (there was like 2% drama near the end that wasn’t really heavy) and the characters were okay. Both heroine and hero were cute.

This is no grumpy sunshine, but it was a good attempt. Light and quick read for me. I love the main couple, they are so soft!

Overall, I enjoyed it. 2.5 stars!

Leslie North writes the best cowboy, Billionaire, NAVY Seal, Sheikh books. You can never go wrong reading one of Leslie’s books. All of her books flow with ease, the couples are awesome and the plots are the best. It’s Christmas games at the Carson Family Ranch. Taison is feeling the Christmas Games this year, because his ex-Kat is there with her new husband. Kat and Taison were slated to be married but she broke Taison’s heart. Taison decides to pass on Christmas games and Cassie comes to him asking a favor. She wants Taison to do a singing duet with her sister Amy to obtain a full ride scholarship to Seton. If Taison does this favor for Cassie she will work at the family Christmas lot and help sell the Christmas trees. The more these two are together they get more than they bargain for.

Will Cassie and Taison be a success at the Christmas lot, can Cassie get Taison to open up his heart again, is there more going at the Christmas tree lot than selling Christmas trees, will Amy get the scholarship, is there a chance for Cassie and Taison to get to an HEA?

This was the best Leslie North book I have read so far. Although the romance part of the story escalated quickly, there was still some substance to it. These characters may have been the most mature I've seen in one of these books. Cassie is a force of nature so it was no wonder she broke down Taison's defenses so quickly. I liked that Taison's story wasn't one of him being so heartbroken over Kat that he didn't think he could love again and was instead about his fear of becoming too reliant on someone and then them leaving him. There were definitely some eye rolls when Taison refused to let Cassie handle little things. As for the big argument that breaks up our happy couple, I really liked that they were both right but other both wrong. Taison was absolutely right that it was time for Cassie to follow her own dreams and do something for herself and Cassie was right that Taison needed to let her be a partner in his life. Taison was wrong to not accept the kind of help Cassie was offering and she was wrong to not think of herself for once. I'm so glad that Cassie had Amy there to point this out to her. And, although it ended up being pretty public, I really really liked that Taison's big gesture wasn't designed to be so public. This was a nice wrap up to a sweet little Christmas series.

Nice cowboy romance, it was lovely to see Cassie gently removing the emotional walls Taison had built around himself and how he encourages her to this about herself and her wants, instead of being there for everyone else.

This was not an unpleasant read, but it was quite incongruous. It read very much like a sweet, Hallmark-style romance in a small town full of wholesome, family-oriented churchgoers with elaborate Christmas festivities...and then there were two graphic sex scenes. To be clear, I have no objection to spicy romance, these just didn't fit the tone of the book at all. There wasn't much build-up or chemistry, so it was mostly just jarring instead of pleasantly steamy.

This is part of a series, and while it can be read as a standalone, I was left feeling like I was missing lots of context and backstory. Again, this wasn't awful or anything--the characters and their issues were well-developed and realistic--it just didn't quite come together.

Many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review.

Cowboy's Christmas Heart by Leslie North.
Carson Christmas Games #3.
Taison has learned to shield his heart, by pretending he doesn’t have one. Ever since getting jilted two years ago, he’s built up walls ten hay bales high. But Cassie won’t let him be the grump he wants to be—not when she needs his help to win a crucial scholarship. In exchange, Cassie will help his Christmas tree farm have it’s biggest season yet. But working with Cassie is driving him to distraction. And making his heart feel ten sizes too . I am loving this series. 5*.

Great Christmas read! A cowboy with a Christmas tree farm it does not get any better than that. Taison is hesitant to open himself up due to a past relationship but Cassie is determined to show him that together their future will only be better. Very enjoyable story.

It seems like Taison and Cassie need a lot of love from each other to heal broken hearts. I loved both of their characters and thought they were a good fit. Plus the Christmas parts of the book were great.
