This is one of those more than romance. We do get Romance but it's not the main focus of the story.

Mostly this story is driven by Sam's work, a project she is very passionate about, her toxic relationship with her mom than the romance. Grant is dream. I know he's a grump but from the moment I met him I liked him. The mom on the other hand was very passive aggressive and manipulative. Did not like how quickly their relationship was fixed cause momma is still on my shitlist.

I did think this book was a bit too long, and the authors passionate of the subject is ver palpable. I would recommend. 3.5 stars.

2.5 stars ☆ this book was cute even though the story felt a bit dragged.

Thank you to NetGalley and to the publisher for the arc !!

Sadly, I was unable to finish this book before it expired from my shelf. I started reading it, but took a break because I was burnt out in romances. When I went back to finish, it was too late.

While I cannot give an accurate account (since I didn’t finish this book) I will say this book didn’t grab me from the beginning. I liked the meet cute, but felt the basketball scene went on too long.

I would like to revisit this book in the future to see if the timing makes a difference. Special thanks to Montlake and NetGalley for allowing me to read this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

I enjoyed this book a lot. I liked the romance was not the biggest part of the story but FMCs program. The program could be helpful in many countries I believe. Moreover, I really enjoyed both main characters interaction and I just could feel their chemistry. That was really nice and all the characters were likeable. I would recommend this book!!

I'm sorry I was really excited to read this, but I can't really get into this personally and decided it's just not for me.. there's a lot going on here. I do wish the right readers would enjoy this though.

another adorable romance novel! One that I'd recommend Specifically to those working in healthcare! This was a very fun and easy to love romance book!

This book has been described as Grey's Anatomy in book format, and I agree that that sentiment is accurate, which is why I think I didn't connect with this book as much as I would have liked, because it delves so heavily into the medical profession and its workings. Which is not a criticism, because of course I should've expected that going into a book whose synopsis is literally about the romance between two doctors. The romance was actually very cute and I enjoyed it, as well as both of the characters as individuals. I liked how dedicated and passionate Sam was, and she was always ready to help others, which was an admirable quality. Grant, too, was a nice love interest - thoughtful, attentive, and charming. I also really enjoyed the presence of Sam's friends, Duke and Jehan! The story itself was well-executed and it's a must-read for anyone who is in the medical field or enjoys learning about it.

It was a quick reed.
It’s okay, some of the tropes are just not my cup of tea, but if you like books with similar tropes this could be a good read for you.

Struggled through this one, I wanted to like it as it would have been right up my street from my synopsis, but it was difficult.
I wanted this to be a cute romcom, but the author just kept swaying away from it and writing things that made the storyline confusing, and the romance aspect was lost

Sam is a doctor with a lot of her plate but she is a people pleaser so can't say no. This leads to her getting herself into situations where she can't give her best self too.

I really thought this book would be a bit of me but it took me a long time to get through because there's just too much going on. I really only cared about her relationship growing with Grant and then when they realized they liked each other the focus went into other things.

Sam handled putting boundaries in her life poorly too but it was all talked out in the end which was nice to read.

Thank you to the publisher and netgalley for my copy✨✨

Anatomy of a Meet Cute was a book I instantly was drawn to due to the premise. However; I grew bored within the first five percent with the author's writing style and couldn't continue.

I realize that this is within the genre of cozy romance to some extent but seems to be lacking a lot of the factors that would make it so. The characters, though relatable are boring relative to a moving narrative and I didn’t feel that invested in the love story between Sam and Grant.

The tension was short lived and although predictable endings are expected in the romance genre, this seemed exceptionally so in this book. I think there may be an audience for this with readers that are looking towards a comfort read and a HEA, but otherwise I think most book-tok/fiending romance lovers would be hoping for more ooommph.

I liked the start and opening of the book which is implied in the title but the overall trajectory of the story fell flat even when dealing with emergency pregnancies and a reproductive hospital setting. Which might be more intriguing to some (!!)

it just didn’t do it for me :(

A big thank you overall to Montlake Publishing and NetGalley for providing me with an advanced ebook in exchange for an honest review!

Anatomy of a meet-cute as the title says starts with a meet-cute on a plane where the two main characters interact first. I expected a bit more honestly, I am with the people who said they couldn't connect with Sam and her defensive and impulsive character. However, I understand why she is the way is, and it made me enjoy less the story. Plus she was combative, it was harder to feel the connection between her and Grant. I'm not saying Grant was perfect because he had some issues. The romance didn't get much attention, the focus was on their work and how they can work as a team. it says it's a slow burn and honestly, the love started around chapter 16 but I wished we could see more of it, that would make me more enthusiastic as well.

I expected more for a meet cure, the writing and the characters couldn't keep my attention on the pages. I am sad about it, but I am sure many other will like Sam and Grant's story.

Samantha Holbrook mistook fellow OB-GYN Grant Gao for a patient on a bad drug trip. Trying to forget the disastrous meeting, she keeps herself busy with roommates and her passion project, improving pregnancy care in the community. Hospital administration is less than enthusiastic about the project, however, so now she must ask Grant for help.

Our extremely stubborn heroine is entering a fellowship after research experience, and is full of excitement for it. This is great; good OB care in poor communities is so hard to come by, I was cheering her on. She equates doing things for others as earning care and respect, especially after dealing with her very passive aggressive mother. This leads her to overextend herself: the new program, helping her friend with her engagement party invitations, helping her mother with a reunion party, and the gradually developing relationship with Grant. She assumes the worst of every situation, leading to nervous chatter and making mistakes. I love how close she is to her roommates, and that they see each other for who they are, validate fears and aren't afraid to call out the mistakes they make. It's a great counter to how Samantha sees Grant; while he has his own flaws, she sees him as demanding perfection and more of her than she can give. Of course there are revelations, apologies and changed behavior at the end, going much more smoothly than it likely would in real life. It flows well, though, and I loved how it all came together at the end.

Just couldn't connect to this story. I tried to get through it however it didn't hold my interest.
As this is a DNF, I won't be reviewing on our blog.

Firstly, thanks to NetGalley and the author for the opportunity to read the eARC.

Eu adorei a história. Achei super inovadora! A ambiência, o desenvolvimento dos personagem, a escolha dos plots tudo fez com que eu continuasse a leitura até fim.

E se você gosta de Grey's Anatomy, esse é o livro pra você!

Anatomy of A Meet Cute was my most recent read and omg. This story was SO freaking cute!! It was an immediate five star read for me as it had me laughing late into the night with the repeated phrase of “Just One More Chapter”.

I swear, the only complaint I have is that I didn’t get an epilogue because I just needed MORE of these two characters. Sam and Grant did indeed have the most perfect of meet cutes even if they didn’t know it at the time and the fact that life kept throwing them back together again and again.

I simply cannot recommend this book enough & I hope you all love it as much as I did! Thank you so much to the publisher and author for sending me an early galley of this book!
