This was a good thriller and held a few surprises. I certainly didn't expect that ending! Would recommend. I even gifted a paperback to a friend.

The topics of friendship, loyalty, and the moral conundrum that results from having contradictory loyalties are all explored in the book. It is kind of slow paced and predictable but overall it was a good read

Uncomfortable and difficult to read.

I like a good thriller but this author could not pace the book in a way that kept my attention..

First time reading a book by this author. The story felt like I was watching a episode of law and order. Dez and his team were trying to get justice for their friend/colleague. I enjoyed the suspense and was very surprised at the ending.

Brooklyn DEA Dez is working a case to take down the infamous yet elusive El Cazador, a Colombian drug kingpin. He and his partner/best friend, Lance Baldwin are close to capturing El Cazador during a sting operation when Lance is murdered. Solving the case because personal for Dez because it would be his biggest one and he wanted to avenge Lance’s death. Working with his team, Max and Dillon, they are getting closer to finding out the true identity of El Cazador but as they get closer, key witnesses are turning up dead. The team has to find out who is tipping the cartel off concerning their next moves. The discovery of who’s leaking information and the identity of El Cazador is truly shocking!

LOYAL TO A FAULT is a fast-paced thriller that will keep readers on the edge of their seat. Scott invites you into the seedy underworld of drugs, money, and greed. The novel is a page-turner with all the plot twists and explosive scenes. This is the first book that I read by Omar Scott but it won’t be the last. For lovers of thrillers, this one is highly recommended.

Could not get past the first few pages. It is the very first book I have received from Net Galley that was just about unreadable.
No paragraph distinctions,/ random bold print / sudden complete line capitalizations/lines numbered randomly in between words .....and I could go on and on.
I was looking forward to reading this but the needed, intense and total concentration on every single word was much too tedious.
So sorry.

I love a great crime novel and this one had me on the edge of my seat. Every chapter has you guessing and the wrong outcome; to me this is what made this book great. Please prove this crime buff wrong! The energy of the main characters made the story worthwhile and even more interesting.

Quite predictable but I really enjoyed it ‘cause the constant pull of angst and wit, banter between the MCs; kept me thoroughly engaged and entertaining!!
