I prefer more stories that I can relate to as a Black leader that will help me practically apply the advice the authors are promoting.

Engaging Book with enlightening stories .This book provided a great collection of stories to extract wisdom and soft skills from. I just wish it was more engaging

This was a very enjoyable and easy to read book on leadership. I personally was already a huge supporter of leading one’s actions from a framework of joy, so I was immediately on board. As happens with books predominantly written from an American context, there are times when I have to just sit back and take American oriented content for what it is - but this did not take away from the insights nor message of the book. I just note that at times there are concepts that’s are context specific, but not so much so that any “international readers” such as myself would be alienated. I throughly enjoyed the duo’s insights and the decision to not specify who wrote what. Very well done and thank you for the joy I experienced reading your work!

I picked this up as wider reading for the Leadership apprenticeship I am currently doing and it was a fabulous read. The format is easily accessible and it didn't feel arduous to read. The content was also outstanding. Will be recommending to others on my course too.

Leading with Joy by Akaya Windwood and Rajasvini Bhansali is an incredible book for anyone in leadership. It's also a very important book about how to build and sustain safe and happy community! Much needed at this time.

It is written with a heart. It is simple. Has short chapters. Practice excercises. Practical tips. Heartwarming prose. A useful guide to make leaders less mechanical.
As capitalism makes leaders more distant this book helps to attach to reality again.
