This is book two of the Muir Harbor series. I have been looking forward to Indie and Philips story since November 2021 and it was worth the wait! Sooo many feels and such a beautiful message.
Indie has had to make some heartbreaking decisions in life. It seems like she’s hit with one thing after another. I related to her so much, the feeling like an outsider and being an artist, and the disconnect with it when life gets messy.
Philip’s life is turned upside down after the death of his mother and becoming the guardian of his teenage sister he doesn’t really know. He is so sweet and charming in a nerdy way. I loved every part of him!
Philip and Indie’s meet cute was the best ever! I truly loved how their relationship blossomed, they were so supportive of each others situations. It felt very natural.
There was a lot going on with mysteries, family dynamics and of course romance. I do wish the book was a bit longer so everything could be spread out a little more but I just love this series, it could never be too long for me.
There is an ongoing mystery that starts with book one so I definitely suggest reading Autumn by the Sea first.
I’m excited for book three!

I received an eARC from the publisher through NetGalley for an honest review.

This is a story of family - what makes a family, all the love and longing, the messy and the confusing, the holding on and letting go. It’s touching, frustrating, emotional, and captivating. An ongoing mystery that weaves throughout the series adds more intrigue and suspense, making this book hard to put down. I loved Indi and Philip, Holland, and all of the Muir family and friends. I loved this book and eagerly await the next book in the series.

Oh man! This book is for anyone who has struggled with rejection, is beating themselves up over past decisions and is looking for forgiveness. Indi Muir is a woman I can relate to, she is striving to be better and to outrun her emotions. During a particular low moment for Indi we meet Philip West. Philip has his own set of problems but once he sees Indi is in need of a friend he sets those aside for the moment and is there for her. Fast forward a few months and Indi gets the chance to return the favor for Philip when he shows up in Muir Harbor with his 15 yr old sister Holland in tow.
We get to catch up with Maggie, Neil, Lilian and Wilder. There is a case of mistaken identity, suspense, drama and romance all throughout this book. I can honestly say I enjoyed every minute I spent in Muir Harbor.

** I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

I would give this 5+ stars! This 2nd book in the series is so good. Indi and Phillip’s story is a wonderful love story - how God brings people together and is always with us, even when the road remains tough. Muir Harbor is the perfect setting - iIndi’s love and wonder of snow falling is the cherry on top. I can’t wait for the final book in this series. Thank you NetGalley for the ARC

This book was so good! Mystery, romance, humor - this book has it all!

The beginning had me hooked right away, and I enjoyed how the first few chapters overlapped with parts of the first book but from a different point of view. These characters feel so real, and the story was intriguing through the whole book. Just when I thought I had things figured out, there was a new twist.

I love the family dynamics in this series and how we learn more about each person in every book. I definitely recommend reading the first book in this series before this one so you can get the full story, but you could read this as a stand-alone. I am excited to see how everything comes together in the third book!

From the author note…”my greatest desire with this and every book I write is that something in it would land in your heart just right”. That pretty much sums up how I feel about this book. It landed just right. I loved Indi and Philip and Holland, the meet-cute, Indi’s family, the town, the mystery. Even the book’s cover is beautiful. I also really appreciated the faith elements, and the clean content. This is a great story with some heavy subjects, but the author balances the hard with lots of good. “Complicated in the best of ways.”

This is my first Melissa Tagg book but will definitely not be my last. It’s actually the second book in a series, so I’ll be reading book one right away and impatiently waiting for book three.

Thank you Netgally for the eARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

A sweet story with so much depth and feeling. While it can be read as a stand-alone I suggest you won’t want to miss the previous book and get to know recurring characters and the mystery surrounding Muir Farm and its family.

Indie and Philip's meet-cute has me laughing out loud, the best meet-cute I had ever read. clean-closed door, a few kisses, and swoony romance. There is something for everyone. mystery, romance, humor, family dynamics, complex main characters, world-building, and character-building.
If you like a touch of mystery in your romance, and a cozy blueberry farm setting, I think you'll love this series. Fun entertaining easy read!

Thanks, NetGalley for the eARC in exchange for an honest review.

This was a great read. Not too hard, but still with deep themes. Although it is listed Christian fiction, it isn't as "preachy" as other books in this category.

The story is about Indi Muir, a 28 year old woman dealing with many issues. As an adoptive mom who has experienced loss, I appreciated the heavy emphasis on adoption in the story and the complex emotions surrounding that topic. Seeing the various characters work through grief and complex emotions was, at times, quite profound.

This book is second in a series, but you need not have read the first book to enjoy the second.

Thanks netgalley and publishers for the free e-arc in exchange for my honest review.

I adore Melissa Tagg's books. And her "Muir Harbor" series may very well be my absolute favorite--which is saying something, given how much I entirely adore the Walker family, lol!

And, can I get an "Amen" on how beautiful this cover is?! I love everything about it (but especially the blue)!

While _A Seaside Wonder_ could likely be read as a standalone, I do recommend reading the series in order--both for context and to avoid spoilers.

This book has something for everyone--humor, romance, family, faith, mystery, action, history, and more. Tagg does a wonderful job (as ever) at bringing the reader into the setting, as well as challenging them with the same questions the characters have to face themselves. "How would I ask, let alone answer, any of these myself? How would I act, what would I do, in these situations? And, do I see myself in any of these characters; why; and does it inspire or challenge me in a similar way?" (I could be my own discussion group, apparently. :D Ha!)

It's a perfect beach read--I read it at the beach myself, in fact--as well as a perfect autumnal read, too. I so wish Muir Harbor were a real place; I'd be on a plane there in a heartbeat!

I received an eARC of the book from the publisher via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

Tagg has such a way with words that sucks you into the story and completely envelopes you. I absolutely loved revisiting Muir Harbor and falling in love with Indi and Philip.

The other thing I love about her books are her meet cutes and kisses and this one doesn't disappoint in either area! But I also love the world building and character building. These characters have such realistic flaws and grow so much and it is just so relatable. I cannot imagine the loss Philip and Holland have experienced, but I felt it deeply through the pages.

If you like just a touch of mystery and intrigue in your romance then I think you'll love this one as they search for answers to who has been trespassing on the farm.

I received an advanced copy of this book through NetGalley. This is my honest review.

Ok. NOW I'm completely, totally hooked.
I need more. I need book #3!!!
This second visit to Muir Harbor and Maggie Muir's family....well, it was just great!

This book overlaps just a little bit with the first book. (I highly recommend reading Autumn by the Sea, if you haven't yet!)
But, we are now seeing life from Indi's point of view. And this overlap brings clarity to things I didn't even realize I needed.
Indi has always been one to rush from one thing to the next. And she didn't even stop to think why.
I liked getting to know her, and understanding her "why".
Once again, Melissa Tagg brings a sweet story with so much depth and feeling.
You will be left pondering this one for awhile after you finish reading.
