I received a copy of Charmed by Kelly Moran from NetGalley. This book is a paranormal fantasy romance novel and the second book of the Fated Trilogy. The story follows the middle siblings, Fiona Galloway and Riley Meath. The Galloway sisters are witches, while the Meath brothers are trained fighters.
Centuries ago, a Galloway ancestor was burned for witchcraft by a Meath and she cursed the Meaths and the Galloways. This curse has impacted generations of both families. And now, the six fated (3 Galloway sisters and 3 Meath brothers) who can break the curse are here. The first book Bewitched follows Brady and Kaida, who completed the first part of the task. Now, it's Fiona and Riley’s turn to do their task. These six are the ones who can end this curse and the animosity between their families.
Fiona is a guarded person. She is smart and strong and doesn’t let anyone, even her sisters see her true feelings. Riley is fascinated by Fiona from the get-go. Since, the beginning of these tasks with his brothers and Galloway sisters, he has spent a lot of time with Fiona. There is chemistry from their first interaction, and I liked how they bantered with each other. The next part of the task is up to them, so now they are pushed even closer than before, working as a team.
I liked the balance of fantasy and romance in the book. Neither element overpowered the other in the story and flowed really well. Charmed by Kelly Moran is a story that’s filled with magic, romance, and a sense of adventure. I enjoyed reading this book and can't wait for the final book of the series.

This is the second book in the Fated Trilogy. I high recommend you read Bewitched prior to reading this book.

A spell has been placed on the Galloway family and the Meath Family. Step one has been completed to lift this spell but now it is Fiona and Rileys turn to complete step two. Can they complete their mission without killing each other?

The banter between Fiona and Riley made this book for me. It bounced between funny, angry, sensual, and flirty. There were time I did want to throttle Fiona but Riley never gave up on her. They pushed each others button but they made each other stronger. Thrown in some not so fun visits from the Minister and the support of family and it makes a great paranormal read. I was on the edge of my seat right until the very end.

Second in the trilogy, Charmed follows Fiona and Riley as they try to figure out their part in breaking a family curse that has left both their bloodlines cursed in love. Fiona and Riley have awesome chemistry, trade witty repartee and scorch the sheets.

All that in mind, I did not enjoy this one as much as the first book. The pursuit of the curse was lost amongst the character banter and the resolution of Riley & Fiona's part fell flat for me. As always, your mileage may vary.

I'm a huge fan of Kelly Moran. This book did not disappoint.

This is the second book in the series and it is even better than the first. The chemistry between Fiona and Riley is electrifying. I couldn't put the book down.

Add a great storyline to characters that captivate and you have a recipe for a really good novel. This builds on the first book in the series and it should be read as part of the series rather than as a stand alone novel. You will need to know about the prior encounter with the villain for it to make sense.

Really great effort by Kelly Moran. I can't wait for the last book in the series to come out. The dynamics in the relationships for each pairing in the books just keeps getting better.

One of the things that I like most about Kelly is that she always delivers a story that tackles real life issues and she proves that she can consistently deliver unique twists to the stories that she puts out. If you want an author that stands out, pick up a book from Kelly Moran.

I was so happy to get Riley’s story. Of course, I love Brady’s and Kaida’s story, but I was so excited to get more of Riley and Fiona.

If you love an “opposite’s attract,” this is for you. Riley has a joking personality, and Fiona has always had to be strong. However, for this task, they’ll need each other. The Minister/Uncle is back, and it’s not good. Can Riley and Fiona come together to complete their task in time?

Sigh, I love Riley. I loved that he was willing to be vulnerable. There were moments when I was frustrated with Fiona; however, I completely understood. For so long, she had to be the strong one, challenge after challenge. So, why should this be any different? This time, she has Riley.

This one wasn’t as fast-paced as book one; however, this story brought out so many emotions. Riley was the perfect combination of funny and sweet. Fiona was feisty but also made a lot of assumptions. I loved that in this story, Riley was the sunshine.

Moran’s writing and ability to tell a story are phenomenal. The witty banter between Fiona and Riley was great, and I felt like I was with them everywhere they went, from the shop to the cottage, to the mansion… I was right there.

I waited three years for this story, and I was not disappointed. I’m ready to see what is in store for Tristan and Ceara!

4 star

The story has pain, secrets, and heartbreak.

If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first as they are part of this series:
Bewitched (Fated, #1)

This is Fiona and Riley’s story. Fiona knew from birth about the curse and that she would have to help remove it. She is a healer, she can mix potions, and she can move air. Problem is she has a soft heart and tends to trust all the wrong people. She has a pull to Riley that she can shake but can she really trust him? Riley knows he has to break the curse. The two family have to work together in order to break it. Every one of the six of them have special tasks that have to fulfill in order for the curse to be lifted and for them to be able to find love. But destiny is pushing them all together and if they don’t break the curse they will all be domed and not able to keep the love that they found. Can they all work together to bring down a curse so they can all finally more forward and find love and be able to keep it? Or will they be cursed forever?

I recommend this book.

4.5 Stars
This is the second book in the trilogy. I couldn't put this one down. Fiona and Riley are on tap next to help break the curse. It's not going to be easy. Fiona feels like she has to always be brave and face comes her way alone, but she has strong support system including Riley. Riley and Fiona are definitely an opposites attract situation. The love the love story that unfolds along with their family history and everything that is on the line is such a huge draw for me. The Minister is back at trying to do his evil work, but more questions pop this time. I really can't wait for last book in the trilogy. They keep getting better with each book. A Must read!

Charmed by Kelly Moran.
Fated Trilogy Book Two.
Fiona Galloway has known since birth that she is one of the Fated Six chosen to break a centuries-old curse handed down by her ancestor. She is a powerful witch with a gift for healing, is skilled at potions, and can use her air element with a twitch of her fingers. She races toward danger when most run away. Her weakness, however, is trusting people, especially if that person is a too-sexy, charming, affable guy who was forced to participate in their destiny and clearly doesn’t want to. But geez, his allure is weakening her defenses, making her crave the impossible, and she should know better. Love has never been an option. Well, until now.
Brilliant read. Love this series. 5*.

The second book in the Fated trilogy is Riley and Fiona’s story. Fiona and her two sisters come from a powerful witch bloodline, the Galloways, while Riley’s Meath ancestor was a hate-filled, brutal witch-hunter who murdered the sisters’ ancestor for daring to fall in love with his son. Her final act was to curse both families until three brothers from the Meath family could unite with three sisters from the Galloway family to break the curse. In the first book, Riley’s brother and Fiona’s sister combined their strengths to complete their task and fall in love in the process, now it’s Riley and Fiona’s turn. The biggest problem is that these two have been sniping and arguing with each other in just about equal measure as the sparks that have been flying between them. Now they must set aside their antipathy and work together.

This book was slower paced with less external action compared to the first book as Riley and Fiona had a lot of internal, emotional work to do before they could complete their task. Riley is the jokester, the guy who is always laughing, but who hides his strength and depth of emotion behind his lighthearted facade. Fiona is a powerful witch, a force of nature and an independent woman who is used to solving all problems on her own and doesn’t want to rely on anyone. These two definitely have a grumpy/sunshiny vibe, but it is reverse of the usual trope. Fiona is the one who is not so much grumpy, but definitely relationship resistant while Riley is the optimistic, bright-eyed one. The only way they will succeed and find love is if Fiona learns to accept help while Riley finds his own hidden strength. Just as in the first book, it’s lovely to watch all of the sisters and brothers continue to strengthen their bonds and build a family together. My thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an advance copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions in this review are my own.

A big thank you to NetGalley and the author for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is the 2nd book in a series, but reads well as a stand alone. I have just read the first book, so this was fun. I still like all the characters, the chemistry between the two leads in this book was good. This is Riley and Fiona's story. 4 stars I actually liked this one better than the first. Can't wait for the next one.

would like to thank netgalley and the publisher for letting me read this exceptional book

a slow burner of a book and it took me a while to figure out why....as the first book in this series was action action action, this one was a subtle burn and its all because of riley

the joker of the brothers, the one who could always be relied to bring light relief to others who had also suffered very badly from his uncle

but its also about fiona, the strongest witch out of the sisters, who was the first one to stand up for any of her sisters

so when these two are fated to work together its like to different worlds colliding and both riley and fiona need each other though neither know it....and i was so hooked by their different personalities and was so drawn into this book that you just wish there was a real riley in real life...oh hum....

so riley the joker and fiona the fighter but who is the strongest out of them both when it comes down to it...man oh man what a journey of discovery

there was plenty to this story to drag you in with magic and mayhem and threats galore, but the build up to the next book has already begun and i for one cant wait to see how it all pans out and with some startling discoveries in this book the sisters and brothers have their work cut out for them with their fight against their uncle and his hunters

i cant wait...

This is the first time I've read a book where the protagonist annoyed the heck out of me, but I still love the book. lol. Fiona was closed off and stubborn, but Riley had the patience of a saint and eventually was able to bring out the best in Fiona. In this book, the next couple has to perform their task in order to break the curse on their families. I enjoyed seeing the triplets interacting with the sisters more in this book and look forward to the third.

Amazing book just like Bewitched which is the first book in the Fated Trilogy.
Riley and Fiona are opposites and love to banter, and argue. That’s just the way they are.
Fiona doesn’t want anyone’s help, but she and Riley have been chosen to complete the next task.
The Galloway sisters and the Meath brothers have joined forces to break a curse. There Uncle is bound and
determined to stop them.

A must read as is Bewitched.

The long awaited second book in the fated trilogy was well worth the wait. Kelly Moran did not disappoint in this fantasy story. Fiona is a healing witch and Riley is supposed to be off limits because of a family rivalry. Can they deal with the "sparks" that fly between them and figure out how to stop the curse that threatens.
I enjoyed escaping reality for awhile while reading this book of witches, spells, potions and yep...romance.

This is the second book in a trilogy. The author apologizes for the delay in the dedication which is a nice touch. I really enjoyed Riley and Fiona's story. Especially Riley. His ancestor killed Fiona's ancestor during a witch trial and since then they have been cursed. The spell has a chance to be broken but only if Riley and his two brothers and Fiona and her two sisters work together.

Riley and Fiona from childhood have been at odds with each other but they have to work together to survive. Riley and his brothers come from an abusive home. Riley is a very sensitive soul and I really appreciated how his character was nuanced. There is a scene where he talks about crying and it is moving because boys don't cry in society or so they are told., it takes a lot to admit it.

Fiona was a little harder to like for me as I think her bravado was a little much and made it harder to get a read on her character. However Riley was the man for the task.

I did think the internal dialog over how much they wanted the other was a little repetitive.

I am really looking forward to the conclusion with the final pairs turn. It seems as if they have prior history between them and this is will be their second chance romance.

Book two in the fated trilogy. The first book was about Kaida and Brady. This one is Fiona and Riley. They must break a centuries-old curse passed on by their ancestor. Very steamy scenes, likable characters and interesting plot. I had a fun time reading it.

Thanks to the publisher for the arc.
