“"Even though Disney wants us to think otherwise, I suspect all of those happily ever afters took some work and some compromise."”

This quote from Worlds Collide is perfect way to describe the book. Tyler and Amaliya are heading to the World Championships with so many challenges to over come. It is a roller coaster of a ride but so worth the read.

I love that this book ties the rest of the series all together. All the little shoutouts to the novellas in this book made me so happy. I love that we got to see Katerina story come full circle. Traci did a great job tying Katerina’s story into Amaliya and Tyler’s story.

I’m sad to say goodbye to Amaliya and Tyler. I’ve loved reading their story and I loved that it all worked out in the end for them. Their relationship was so realistic which was good. I did get a little upset with Tyler in this book but it all worked out. 😂 I hope we get to see them show up in one of Traci’s future books.

This book is the third book in the series, so you definitely want to read the other books before this one. But the whole series is a quick read just like this book. This one is a little more suspenseful which made it hard to put down.

These thoughts and opinions are my own. Thanks NetGalley for the ARC.

I enjoyed this book very much. It was a wonderful conclusion to this story. Yes it continues, Tyler and Amaliya are just starting their story. But things are as they should be. Katerina and Viktor were able to see each other. It took time and patience, but it shouldn't be too easy. I was left with the question of the key card mix up, was it actually an accident? No one seemed to be too suspicious. I was drawn in by how well the story unfolded. I have also read all 3 novellas. They do add some insight to the story as a whole. I have had many customers and friends ask if they will ever be published in hard copy. Not everyone likes e-readers. I have recommended this series to many friends and customers. It is a really good story, told very well.

Worlds Collide took me on a whirlwind of an adventure. I loved reading more about Tyler and Amaliya's relationship and their progress in the world of ice skating. Their experiences with the KGB and the Russian skating world kept me on edge. Traci Hunter Abramson does a fantastic job of pulling in the reader and diving deep into the world of whatever sport she writes to make it feel like they are a part of it as well.

Abramson finishes her Dream’s Edge trilogy in an exciting fashion. I’ve read the two previous full length books but not the three prequel novella’s that tie into the series. Book two Dreams of Gold ends with ice dancers Tyler and Amaliya winning the Olympic Gold medal in Russia. The story is set during the 1980’s when the Iron Curtain is solid and relations between the countries is tense. Back at home Tyler and Amaliya have just over a month to prepare themselves for the World Championship in Canada. The pair also have to make big decisions about their future. Tyler assumes he will turn pro and move on to the Ice Capades. But they are a partnership and plans have to work for both of them.

I thought the middle novel got bogged down in the training and skating preparation storyline. This one doesn’t make the same mistake. Amaliya’s mother Katerina defected from Russian 25 years earlier. She didn’t dare go to Russia for the Olympics. But she wants to see Amaliya skate and is hopeful to meet her niece who skates for Russia and get a chance to talk to her brother. Abramson is at her best in writing intrigue with spies and agents. So it is fun to have this added plot complete with KGB agents that would love to return a defector or at least cause a distraction for the American skaters upsetting their chances to win.

I’ve enjoyed this sports romance series. And this is an exciting conclusion. (Assuming the author doesn’t continue on with the characters in the future.) Setting it in the 1980’s, listening to Walkman’s and worrying about long distance bills, will seem foreign younger readers. This book is clean in every sense of the word and I think would be enjoyed by 15 and up. The series should be read in order for best enjoyment. Thank you to NetGalley and Covenant Communications for the eARC in exchange for an honest review. (4.5 Stars)

Abramson does an amazing job of drawing the reader into the story and helping us feel what the characters feel. I was thrilled for Amaliya and Tyler for their opportunities and loved watching them grow through their trials. I really appreciated that this story illustrated some of the things a young couple needs to sort out. Happily Ever Afters don't necessarily come easily. Interwoven with Amaliya and Tyler's story was that of her mom, Katerina, and Katerina's brother, Victor. A peek behind the iron curtain showed living conditions so harsh I wondered if it could have been real. Watching Katerina and Victor try to renew their relationship was heartwarming and scary at the same time. Abramson does an amazing job of helping us feel all that these characters were experiencing.

I started reading this too late to be able to finish in one sitting which was probably a mistake on my part. I knew I was just getting to the intense part when I forced myself to go to bed (after 1:00 am). I am pretty sure I dreamed about ice-skating, KGB agents and defectors all night long trying to figure out what was going to happen. Gah! My mind came up with all sorts of horrible endings since I really couldn't see my way into everyone having a happy ending. I'm so glad the author could! It was a very satisfying ending for all the people I cared about.

There is an element of romance in the book but mostly just a continuation of relationships in previous books in the series. This book is more about Tyler & Amaliya's future career, their competition successes, and some political intrigue, which is obviously the part that made me have those dreams.

I really want to see these two characters perform in person. It all sounds so beautiful. I love to watch ice-skating.

This book is amazing! One part of me has been anticipating reading it for a long time. The other part didn't want to because I knew it was the final book in the Dream's Edge world. And I have come to love all of these characters! But I dove right in and devoured this book. I loved being back in this world and seeing all of the characters from the series throughout the book. That's one of my favorite aspects of reading trilogies and series. I love seeing more of these characters that I've become invested in and knowing they're doing well. I loved how they all worked together in this book!

Tyler and Amaliya are Olympic Gold Medalists and are now heading to the World's competition. Stakes are high and there are many unknowns for their future. Add in that Amaliya's mom has the chance to see her brother whom she hasn't see in years and years, and that brings its own added intensity and excitement to the book. Her brother lives in the Soviet Union, which the leaders are not too happy with her mom for defecting. Thankfully World's is held in Canada, but that doesn't mean that her mom is entirely safe in traveling there. Especially with the Soviets being there as well.

So many moving parts that were great on their own but put altogether wove a great and intricate story that pulled me in from the beginning and kept me turning the pages pretty quickly! Such a satisfying story and conclusion to this Dream's Edge World. I'm secretly hoping that the author will decide she has more to write in these characters' lives. *Hint, hint, hint* Even if it's just an extra side story or a break-off series. *Thanks Traci!* A girl can dream, right?!

You could probably read this as a stand-alone novel but I think you'll enjoy the whole series and how all the different characters and stories culminate in this one, if you've read all of them!

Content: Clean. Some moments of mild peril and intensity. Some kisses but nothing further.

I received a copy from the publisher, Covenant Communications, via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions in the review are my own.

Happy Reading!!!

This is part six (book three) of the Dream’s Edge Series. I am not familiar with any of the others, but enough detail is given to have an idea of what has gone on before. There are no (essential) missing parts of the backstory that spoil the fun. Well done! The reader will also get a detailed insight into the world of figure skating. Lots of interesting bits I didn’t know about. This book plays in the 1980s, which means no cell phones or any type of social media, and it reminds me of how much effort had to be put into getting a hold of someone back then. It brings back the Cold War and the lack of freedom experienced in the Eastern Bloc countries at that time. The author did a good job creating the atmosphere of fear and repression. I like the peek behind the Soviet doors of both “regular” citizens and those in power, and their fears, struggles and how they perceive the world. It takes quite a while for the main characters to decide on their future. For the sake of the story, it would be better if this moves along faster (hence the 4 stars.) However, truth be told, it would take this long in real life. All in all, if you like this era, it’s a pleasant as well as an exciting book to pass the time with. You’ll definitely learn a thing or two!

Thank you very much Covenant Communications, Inc. and NetGalley for providing me with an ARC. All opinions are my own.

What a fantastic ending to this series. I learned so much about the Soviet Union and how incredibly lucky I am to live in a land with so many freedoms. Traci has an incredible talent bringing her characters to life that you can’t help but fall in love with them.

What a ride!! Coming to the end of this series is bittersweet. I have truly loved going back in time and learning more about figure skating in the eighties! Before reading these stories I didn't really understand what it meant to be a defector and why someone would choose it. I already want to go back and start over because I'm not ready to move on from knowing these characters!

WORLDS COLLIDE is the third novel in the Dreams Edge series by TRACI HUNTER ABRAMSON but it can easily stand alone. After reading the first two books in the series I was looking forward to this one and am definitely not disappointed! The plot is well worked out and the characters unforgettable. I realy enjoyed the whole ice skating scene, mixed with the drama of international diplomacy. When one sees the importance of the skaters keeping their focus, we wonder whether Amaliya and Travis will do just that and bring home another gold medal, with all the uncertainty of their future in the skating world and the safety of Amaliya’s mother and relations from Russia being at risk……
It is a really lovely book - exciting and inspirational, with a gentle message of faith in God running through it. I cannot recommend Worlds Collide highly enough.
I was given a free copy of the book by NetGalley from Covenant Communications. The opinions in this review are completely my own.

Love love love this series. Set in the 80's amid the cold war with the figure sharing world being the main background. It's an interesting look at the sports world and political world and how they are intertwined. Loved how everything played out, with suspense and many twists and turns.

When worlds collide and you must choose, what will be your choice?
This is a great read exploring how we must all make choices in our lives that affect the future of ourselves and others for better or worse. Fresh off winning Olympic Gold in skating pairs, Tyler and Amaliya are faced with choices for their future. Should they go pro requiring them to travel non-stop for the majority of the year, but with good money? Should they continue competing working towards another Olympic competition with the pressure of finding ways to support themselves as they train? And how would those decisions play into their desire and plans to get married? On top of all that Amaliya’s relatives from Russia are coming to Canada where Tyler and Amaliya are competing, not only to see Amaliya’s cousin compete but hopefully to meet with her mother, Katerina, who had defected years before. As preparations are made both in Russia and the United States pressures mount to try to make the best choices, forces are aligning some to support Amaliya, Tyler, and her family and others to destroy their worlds, professionally and personally. And which each act, each choice made worlds collide. A great read. Although this is the third book in a series it can easily be read as a standalone. I can highly recommend all three. Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for the copy. This is my review and all thoughts are my own.

What a great ending to this series. I've enjoyed reading this series, I've always loved the movie Cutting Edge. The story takes place in 1984, and is a fast paced novel. There is quite a bit of a struggle for the skaters.

Wow! This book had me on the edge of my seat. There were some times when I wanted to put it down, but I just picked it back up again. Worlds Collide is the third book in Traci Hunter Abramson’s Dream’s Edge series.
Poor Tyler and Amaliya. They had a lot to work through, there were so many things going on in their lives. They had just won the Olympics but now they were facing the world championship competition and trying to figure out how to see Amaliya’s uncle and cousin again. They just had so much stacked against them, but I loved reading about them learning to work through their problems and figure out things together.
Oh my goodness, there was so much going on in this book. I was on the edge of my seat as I was reading. The characters were so engaging and the plot was interesting. I was rooting for Tyler and Amaliya as they tried to figure out their next steps.
Tyler and Amaliya had to learn to talk to each other and work through the problems of the future. They were trying to figure out what it meant for them now that the Olympics were over. It was cool to read about them coming together and trying to listen to each other. There was some conflict but it fit the story and Tyler and Amaliya.
There was also so much going on behind the scenes. Katerina, Amaliya’s mother, was trying to figure out a way to see her brother, Viktor but things were much more complicated than they seemed. The Soviet Union was watching them and Katerina might not even be safe. This part of the story was so interesting and oh my goodness, I was on the edge of my seat. I loved how Abramson was able to weave this part so seamlessly into the story and how it all fit.
Worlds Collide is an engaging wonderful book, it should be on your TBR! The ending was sort of satisfying but I hope that there are more books featuring these amazing characters. I would definitely recommend this book, however it definitely needs to be read as part of the series. Worlds Collide is a clean romance set during the 1980s.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the publisher through Netgalley. All views expressed are only my honest opinion, a positive review was not required.

I admit, I'm a sucker for Olympics stories. During Olympics years, I am glued to my TV. I watch all the events, especially the more obscure ones and the lesser known ones. But the ice skating events have always had my heart.

I'm old enough to remember the time period of this story - and Cutting Edge was one of my favorite movies back then. This story had more espionage and political thriller than that movie, but I still liked the romance aspect. And there was plenty of skating action too, although the start of the story was a bit slow.
