Another little gem, always coming from the magical hands of French-speaking illustrators. And what to say? It's a feast for the eyes, and although it's just a kind of introductory chapter to this magical world inside a music box, I found it full of magic and really interesting. I would certainly be interested in reading the other chapters of the series.
Probably, if the other chapters are also so short, it would certainly be a better choice to put them together in one larger volume.
The idea of enclosing a world inside a music box / snowball is really original and I must say that I was excited a lot!
I hope that some Italian publishing house will publish it, I'm sure the Italian public would like it.

Thank you Netgalley for letting me read this graphic novel!

Welcome to Pandorient is a fun and beautiful introduction to graphic novels for younger kids!

It touches on some hard issues for younger kids like the death or illness of a parent and lack of being able to love who you want to as well as the danger of police or military forces (but told for a kid's point of view). I think that was all great and I'd be curious to see where it goes even if I wasn't really drawn in by the story.

I would definitely consider reading the rest of the volumes for the art alone though. I thought the cover was absolutely gorgeous!

Thank you to NetGalley for making this available in exchange for an honest review!

I'm realizing that French graphic novels are the best around! This one included! The story was so unique and the illustrations really showcased that sense of enchantment in exploring a new world.

Requested this book under the impression it was going to be a completely different story than what I was reading. I was intrigued at first, but as I kept reading the story changed and just got completely stranger. I honestly wouldn't recommend to others to read or even suggest for my own child. A different reading audience may enjoy this title, I just did not.
