I enjoyed Gennari's novel. It reminded me of Lord of the RIngs. It had a complex plot with well developed characters. I look forward to the next book in the sequel.

I was lukewarm to this because I'm unsure what I was expecting. The characters seemed soft and the plot relatively thin however the world-building is where Gennari excels. The writing style took a while to get used to as it felt overly complicated and perhaps a little too unashamed with pride.

I really enjoyed this beginning to the Crisis Reborn series, it works so well as a scifi novel. The characters were great and felt like real people and what I was expecting from this universe. The plot worked so well and I enjoyed every part of reading this. I look forward to reading more from this series.
