Remarkable and Captivating Love Story:
Well, the first thing we learn about this story is Vanessa's brother is a real jackass and what happens from there had me glued to this amazing heart grabbing emotional story.
Most of the characters are so much fun and are just worthy people you would want to have as your own friends. There is a couple of bad players to hate.
Visount Reed is a gallant character with so much sensitivity and caring.
He held my heart throughout the entire book.
I highly recommend this incredible love story that is filled with overflowing passion, love, trust, and friendship.
Adult Advisory:
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy for my honest opinions.
PS: Loved the cover: 5 Stars

Bartered away in marriage to an abusive older man, Vanessa is perfectly content to live alone after her husband dies. Thrown out and penniless due to her cruel stepson, she is luckily taken under the wing of a countess. Reed has finally decided to marry and agrees to a country house party to meet some eligible suitors. No longer confident of her self-worth, Vanessa must learn to trust Reed. I received an ARC from NetGalley and Dragonblade Publishing for my honest review.

This was an entertaining, well-written book. It was fast-paced, held my interest and I didn't want to put it down. I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more from this author.

I am always excited to see a new Alexa Aston title being released and this most certainly did not disappoint! I loved the leading characters and it was great to see so much of the Three Cousins. Valued by the Viscount is probably my favorite from this series (and that's say a lot because I loved Tessa's story). Vanessa's story in the early chapters broke my heart, so I was so glad when fate put her in Louisa's path. Although her confidence was low, she was not a broken woman. And it was so nice to see Reed find love after getting so close in previous books. I really liked that he was so willing to step aside and allow Vanessa to meet other men at the house party (even though he really didn't like that). I had to agree with Vanessa, if there was any doubt about Reed it quickly vanished once you had the chance to see him interact with his niece, nephew, and half-sisters. The scenes with Vanessa standing up to her brother were great. I wish we had gotten a chapter with Reed meeting with Hockley to see that little weasel get what he deserved. I was curious about why there was no mention of Stillwell's wife - early on it is mentioned he did marry but then never again and I just wondered what she was doing while her husband was being a moron.

Since the 5 Second Sons had already gotten their own books, I was wondering who would be the main focus. I am glad Viscount Boxling was brought back from his house party appearance in book 3. Of course we find out how he is a second son too.

This book focuses on the house party that was mentioned in book 5 with a new focus on finding matches for Viscount Boxkey(Reed) and Lady Hockley(Vanessa).

I like that this book focused on a widowed character this time. Vanessa had a disastrous first marriage not of her choosing to Horace the Horrible. She was slowly able to build some confidence in her new romance with Reed even with her past still trying to haunt her.

I really enjoyed this book and am excited to see who the match will be in the final book of the series@

Thank you to Dragonblade and Netgalley for providing me a copy of this ARC for my honest review.

Our poor viscount has been looking for a wife, but thwarted by the other second sons throughout the series. He finally gets his chance at this year's house party. He meets a widow there who has just come out of mourning for her terrible husband. They're instantly attracted to each other and he makes it his mission to bolster her confidence and show her how wonderful she is. Loved this one!
