This is a good book for those that dream of starting their business— it’s fairly easy to follow, and has some good tips. Only thing to keep in mind is that it’s very American… by that I mean that examples and stats are focused on the United States, so if you’re someone like me, who isn’t from the U.S., those points may not stick. I’m not sure what I was expecting, but honestly, Russell isn’t the first, or only, author to do so because it is, after all, written from their personal experience… so points reduced for that 🙂

LAUNCH IN 5 is a guide on how to launch a new business in 5 days or less. The book focuses on online businesses, but the principles can be applied to any type of business.

The author argues that most business ideas can be tested in a week or less for less than the cost of the latest iPhone. If the idea is successful, the entrepreneur can then launch the business in 5 days or less. The book provides some strategies that can help entrepreneurs launch a new business successfully.

This is a step by step guide on how to approach launching a new business with the help of a structured process. It includes carrying out proper analysis of potential customer segments, what they want and what they are prepared to pay.

Russell encourages the reader to take the risk out of risk-taking and his Five Step High-Profit Launch System does just that - provided you carry out all steps!!!

There is quite a lot of work required to complete the five steps, and it is not a fast process that you'll be able to do in a few weeks - expect it to take 6-12 months, depending on your own skills (and time!) and access to money and external resources.

Russell generously shares his extensive knowledge of customer and market behaviours, potential pitfalls, and he is a great "coach" to have one the journey setting up a new business, or launching a new product/service for an established business.

This is one of very few books where I wished I had a printed copy, with wide margins to be able to add my own notes including reminders and ideas as I was reading through it! Perhaps there should be a workbook available to buy!

Launch in 5 piqued my interest, as I think it would most, as it scratches that itch of wanting to start your own business but not quite knowing how.

It focuses on 5 key areas:
1. Validation, research, and strategy
2. Audience acquisition
3. Audience engagement
4. Audience conversion
5. Scale and optimise

It was certainly more technical than conversation, sometimes made it feel quite sterile.

Sadly, the review copy provided to me had significant formatting errors, making it very hard to follow.

Want a simple straight forward guide to starting a business, then this book is for you.

It's an complicated guide with lots of detail to get you off on the right foot.

The author is knowledgeable and provides useful information.

"Most risk is unnecessary for the vast majority of people starting a business. Many in the world of startups and enterprise suggest that risk and entrepreneurship are interconnected, incorruptible, yin and yang. I think they're looking at it all wrong. My argument is this: Risk-aversion, even in the high-roller, fast-paced world of entrepreneurship, ought to be recognized and defined more widely as an asset."

I love this quote – and low-risk business should absolutely be the focus of more business books. As the title suggests, Launch in 5 is focused on five main launch steps:

1. Validation, research, and strategy
2. Audience acquisition
3. Audience engagement
4. Audience conversion
5. Scale and optimise

Although it's based on a simple (and proven) system that's at the basis of many other great businesses, this book is generally less conversational guide (which I generally gravitate towards), more technical toolkit than I thought it might be. If you want to master the five steps above, though, you have pretty much all you'll need. There's also a fantastic index at the end to refer back to key ideas.

There's a lot of good stuff, but honestly, I think that consuming all of this information right before starting a business could be pretty exhausting. You don't really need all of this to get going. But you can skim through relevant chapters and refer back to topics as you grow your business, launch new products, and build an audience. I'll absolutely be recommending this book for that purpose.

This is a great book for anyone considering starting a business at some point. It's engaging, easy to digest and and has many insights to offer whether you're only starting to learn or whether you already have some experience under your belt. Would definitely recommend.

A thorough read of how to approach a business. It was easy to understand and made the task of starting something new feel less daunting. I would suggest it to anyone eager to start a new project looking for step by step guidance. I liked how they teach you to research your audience and how to reduce the likelihood of failure by avoiding risk.

My top quote from the book is "Entrepreneurship is for anyone with an idea that solves a problem, a passion to make that idea a reality, and a willingness. to listen and learn. " This book is about simple and at the same time complex subject of launching a business. The steps described in the book are not new or innovative, they are well-known and simple. The actions you take and how you take them makes the whole difference.

This book is as basic as it sounds!

Simple and easy to read but so powerful in the voice of its writing, you can go for this book if you're really looking for a short easy guidebook which will boost your motivation and would actually make you want to perform.

The book has short eight main chapters with some more extra concluding contents on the topic.

The writing is quite simple and I would say it is for everyone. But I would highly recommend this book for the beginners and the ones who are planning to start making their ideas practical.

Every chapter has anecdotes, summarised points to take home, what you can look forward to from each chapter. It's super helpful and so well organised.

Go for this book! It's the time for the entrepreneurs to grow and grow according to the changing times. A good helpful nonfiction read of the time.

This book is about launching a product or service. It describes all steps of creating a sales funnel. Very elobrative. Describes fine details with all tips and pitfalls to be avoided. I found this book very useful. Although it is not a new detail but still presentation is very good.
