This was really fun and sweet. This book had a great underlying message and I loved that. The art was beautiful and perfectly fit the story. This is definitely one I plan to read again and again.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for a copy of this comic in exchange for my honest review!

"We are still beautiful and worthy of happiness, no matter what any person or prince thinks."

This is the first installment of the humorous hit webcomic "The Cursed Princess Club." We meet Gwendolyn, the youngest of 3 Princess sisters who just so happens to be a little...different. Her family, including her father the King, and her brother Prince Jamie, adore Gwendolyn deeply and are always on the lookout for her. The family reigns over the Pastel Kingdom and one day the King comes home with news of merging with the Plaid Kingdom- and the 3 Princes of the land!

Gwendolyn's 2 older sisters are excited when they meet their husbands-to-be, but Gwendolyn soon realizes her prince isn't so excited about their engagement. After overhearing harsh words, Gwendolyn flees the castle and finds herself in the middle of a club made up of people like her- cursed princesses! We meet Prince and Princesses from all around, each sporting their own brand of different. Although they are not your textbook royalty, they teach Gwendolyn to embrace herself no matter her looks.

She brings her new confidence and words back to her future fiancé, coming to terms with him on being friends. However, through a series of events and misunderstandings, the Prince may soon realize there's more to Gwendolyn than how she looks!

This comic was one of my favorite stories I've read in a long time. I laughed out loud at the hilarity and comic relief the situations depicted in this book. It was friendly and had good humor. Plus, the artwork was awesome! An easy, light-read I am definitely looking forward to continuing. 5/5 stars.

I received an ARC, through Netgalley, ahead of release. All thoughts are my own.

Content Warnings: Bullying, body dysmorphia, and anxiety.

This volume is so cute! I cannot wait to see this full story unfold. I remember, a few years back, reading a few chapters of this story online and I'm so happy they're going to be coming out with a physical copy of it!

This book was really cute and fun. I think the characters were all well thought out, and its underlying message of accepting everyone no matter what "curse" they're afflicted with is really important. I thought the art style was really lovely, and I can't wait to continue.

This was such a cute read! I honestly wasn't expecting much at the start, but this book grew on me.

We follow Gwendolyn, one of the 3 princesses from the Pastel Kingdom. We get to see her battle with her insecurites, mainly being insecure about her looks, with the help of the lovable members of The Cursed Princess Club. The characters are so cute and funny and I loved Gwen and her family, and how they don't think anythings wrong with her at all. Which I think sends a lovely message, everyone's beautiful and you should love yourself!

The art style is very cute and quite simplistic I would say compared to other webtoons, but I think it really added to the storys charm.

I highly enjoyed this volume!

Thanks to Netgalley and Wattpad Webtoon Book Group for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This story is so quaint, cute, and fun! I love the messages about beauty, and the wide cast of characters is so lovable and clever. Cannot wait for the next installment.

I haven't read this on Webtoons, but now I kinda want to.
At first I was afraid I wasn't going to like this story, because the characters seemed shallow and the humor was a bit hyperbolic. But as the chapters once they began to show surprising depths. I could deal with a few less shock gags, but definitely want to read more.

This was a pretty cute little comic! I found it enjoyable generally, and very easy and quick to read.

I really like the idea of people who curses and/or misfits having a little club, and I am in love with what the support looks like in there. It's really great to show some good ways to be supportive of people. The art style is also adorable.

As much as I enjoyed this, it suffers from the same ailment I find a lot of webtoons suffer from, which is taking too long to get anywhere. The beginning of this is basically just about her being ugly, straight up, which kind of sits weird with me, but ce la vie. But it took a while to get even an inclination that she may also be cursed. Now, I don't think it's inherently bad, and it works for episodic type comics, but when it's back to back to back it seems drawn out.

I wish the characters had a bit more personality, they all are pretty 2-d, and it made me care less about a lot of the characters, which is a shame.

I think this has a lot of potential, and I am going to keep reading it, and I hope it grows to be more fleshed out.

How immensely nostalgic it was to come across this! I have read this story since it came about on Webtoon and rereading it was just as good as the first time. We get to follow our FMC, Gwendolyn, as she traverses her insecurities about her looks with the help of the members of The Cursed Princess Club.

The art style is insanely cute and detailed, giving you a great sense of each character you meet. I’m excited to one day have a gem like this on my bookshelf!

Thank you to the author and NetGalley for my copy to review!

I received an arc from NetGalley.

This was really cute. I absolutely loved Gwen, and I can totally see why her family loves her so much. This book takes stereotypes and turns them inside out, while also having a great sense of humour about it. It also has a good message about loving yourself <s>mostly</s>, and that's definitely something young girls (and boys) deserve to hear.

I would totally recommend it for younger readers especially, because I feel like I might be a bit too old for this. It felt a bit simplistic at times. I think I would have LOVED this comic when I was younger though.

How Are Red Something So Bizarre that it’s actually good?
This story is so interesting, with a unique concept I’ve never seen before.
It’s a clean read.
The drawling style is cute.

This is one of my favorite series and I am so excited to see it in print. Cursed Princess Club is sweet, funny, and hard to put down. The growth in the families, relationships, and the characters themselves is well done and engaging. This is a great one to pick up for some light reading but it is serious enough to keep you engaged. Can’t wait to see how this ends and I would love to join the CPC (if I could just skip the curse bit.)

Argh I adore this so much!! The art style, the moral behind the story, the characters - they’re all amazing! I’ve been reading the webcomic for a while now and I’m so excited for the artist being able to publish their work!

I saw that a few people were able to read it and I’m unfortunately one of these ): I tried a few different things and my phone just said no. I thought the cover was cute and it looked and sounded super interesting. I’ll have to check it out when it comes out. Not really on fault of the book! Comics just just be harder to transfer over for me.

“Anyway,
welcome to the
Cursed Princess Club
Headquarters!”
I had so much fun reading this comic novel!!! In a fantasy world three princesses have to marry for their kingdom’s sake and they meet three princes. Two of them seem to be a very suitable couple but the last ones … let’s say that one of the princes may have mistaken one princess for another !!!
It was funny, sweet and very entertaining!!
And, even more, it opened up an entire world of discussion when it comes to beauty and kindness that I absolutely loved !!
I’m so glad I had the chance to read it !!

Originally published on Webtoon by @LambCat, "Cursed Princess Club" tells us about Gwendolyn, the youngest princess of the Pastel Kingdom. Gwen has always felt loved by everyone around her, and her sisters, brother, and father, are extremely fond of her due to her kindness, sweet spirit, and gentleness. But when the time comes for the three Pastel princesses to meet the Plaid princes, with whom his father has marriage agreements for the three girls, Gwen overhears his fiancé, prince Frederick, saying how ugly he finds her, and how little he wishes to be anywhere near her. Upset, Gwen flees the palace and runs into the Cursed Forest..., where she stumbles upon the Cursed Princess Club, an association founded by several princesses (and one prince) whose Happy Ever Afters were disrupted by curses.

With bright colours and a very slice-of-life plot, this first volume of "Cursed Princess Club" reads like some of the best shojo mangas out there. Gwen is a darling, whose sweetness and innocence won me over from the very start, and I really loved how her family, far from rejecting her or acting distant due to her appearance, cherished and treasured her. It was really endearing to see how she wasn't being judged for her looks, and how these weren't even deemed strange or ugly by her family. Her sisters explicitly tell her that they think she's beautiful, which warmed my heart. A 10/10 for the Pastel family, in that regard!

The CPC is also an interesting group that I hope we'll get to see more of soon. Each of the members has had a different curse cast upon them, and each of them is eager to have it removed... Except for Prez, the president of the club, whose curse is anybody's guess and whose aim is to teach these young people to accept themselves as they are. I'm admittedly intrigued by her backstory, since it promises to be quite interesting! Hopefully we'll find out about it in future installments of the series.

Every episode is quite comedic, even if very important messages are being presented. First and foremost, this tells us to not judge people by their looks, and to look beyond appearances; as well as that conventional beauty isn't the only kind of beauty that exists, and that one is beautiful thanks to what they do rather than due to what they look like.

Overall, this comic tries its hardest to subvert cliché fairytale tropes, and provides an excellent story with really important messages in a light-hearted, cheerful way. Absolutely recommended!

I think I just busted a gut laughing! I love the story so far and can’t wait to read more! I love the Pastel Kingdom’s royal family.

4.5 stars.
I love this book!!!

I have had it saved in my webtoons for awhile now and just haven’t read it, and I regret putting it off for so long because it was incredibly adorable, had me cracking up and was very sweet as well.

All three princesses are so sweet and poor Gwen is the sweetest but also the “cursed” one. She was not born as pretty as her sisters and is mistaken for being a witch pretty often. But then she stumbles on the cursed princess club and starts to feel better and make more friends.

Their father is hilarious. The curses on the princesses are crazy and kinda funny as well with the way they all act.

Some of my favorite scenes would have to be the slumber party and the amusement park / haunted house.

I am insanely curious about the princess with the red eyes, the president and her curse and what’s going on with the mirrors!

If you like lots of humor with a bit of an adult edge to some, as well as some heartfelt moments with people being bullied and overcoming or working towards overcoming it, as well as princesses and princes and curses then you should definitely check this book out!

There's a great concept here and other readers who enjoy fairy tales with interesting twists and turns will definitely have a good time with this, but this first volume just wasn't a good fit for me, unfortunately.
