Nicki’s book, Your New Now, goes through four different types of seasons and while she’s going through them, she’s weaving Moses’s story in with it. I love Nicki’s style of writing and think it was a great, easy read.

Currently, I find myself going through a period of change both in my personal and professional life. Nicki's latest book, "Your New Now," caught my attention and I was captivated. This book is a must-read for anyone who feels lost or uncertain because it reminds us that we are not alone. In the past, I found solace in various mom groups during the challenging moments of raising my kids. However, now that my children are older, those groups are no longer available to me. Fortunately, this book has been an excellent resource for discovering who I am in this new phase of my life. One of the most impactful statements that resonated with me was, "In the space between no longer and not yet, you still belong somewhere." As women, we desire to feel like we belong, even when we put on a brave face and declare our independence. Belonging is essential, especially during times of transition when we can feel a sense of displacement. I highly recommend Nicki's book, even if you are not currently experiencing a period of change because it may be a valuable resource for assisting another woman.

I must admit that I already adore Nicki Koziarz as an author and was eager to read her new book! What I wasn't expecting, was how fitting this book would be in the middle of the transitional season I was currently in. This book is seriously highlighted, and really made me think-all while looking at the life of Moses! Definitely a must read, and a quick read-Nicki has the ability to write like she's talking to a friend, and that makes it that much more enjoyable!

I’m Not Lost; I’m Learning My Way

This book has opened my eyes to the in between I’ve felt stuck in for a while now. I’ve always been a big fan of Moses’ story and it was refreshing to tap into what God was teaching Moses during his journey and see how it applies to my own story. I drifted through a season of separation from my job of 32 years when our office closed and started and started a season of development learning a new job and new culture. I’ll be stumbling into a season of separation again as mom’s dementia progresses but reading this book has helped bring me show me that I’m not alone; God is with me, just as He was with Moses.

I have followed Nicki Koziarz for many years, and I have been impressed by her books and her Bible studies. She writes with a self-effacing transparency that makes her both lovable and authentic. Her newest book, Your New Now, uses a study of the life of Moses to describe four seasons of transition in life: Development, Separation, Cultivation, and Finished. At the end of each section, there is a short Bible study.
Nicki’s review of Moses’ life journey is sensitive and accompanied by stories and illustrations from her own life. Her discussion on the Ten Commandments was especially thorough. However, the discussions of the seasons of life transitions felt more like pop psychology than spiritual guidance. Although I agree that people go through transitions and times of change, I do not feel the seasons as she has described are accurate or adequate.
This book would be good for those wanting to delve into the life of Moses and study what the Bible has to say about him.

Ever been in a season where you were starting a new job or opportunity? Or how about when the kids are grown and moved out of the house? You’re not alone. Everyone is in a season but might be in a different season then what you are going through.
In this book, I’ve lined up Moses’s life next to what I’m calling the four seasons of transition…We’re using the word season because, as we just learned, change often takes time. Seldom do we change overnight or learn a lesson in a week. And seasons do eventually end. You will make it through all the changes life brings you…Fair warning, you may also find yourself in multiple seasons of transition at the same time.
Nicki Koziarz
In her new book, Your New Now by Nicki Koziarz, Nicki goes into detail the four different seasons we experience: Development, Separation, Cultivation and Finished. As she goes through each season, Nicki uses the story of Moses to help tell what each season looks like as well as using her own experiences in life to show how we can recognize and do to work through that particular season.
When our reaction to transition becomes one of choosing to grow rather than needing to know, we become learners of life’s greatest lessons.
Nicki Koziarz
Each section of Your New Now deals with a season of transition. With each section we learn more about Moses and how a part of his life works into that season. Also there are ways to identify if you are experiencing that particular season. Nicki gives you a bit of homework to work through the season of transition you are in that moment. Each season comes with a free mini Bible study at the end of the section.
Through the Bible, we get to study biblical heroes of faith and apply their victories, failures, and wisdom to our own struggles…There is power in that, because God is found in every story through the Scriptures, and every story in the Bible points to Jesus…Jesus is the only true and long-lasting answer to our soul’s deepest struggles.
Nicki Koziarz
What I love about Nicki’s book, is not only does she use Moses as a reference to explain the different seasons of transitions; she also uses her own life experiences to give examples of the transitions she went through. Somehow she has managed to bring it all together to praise Jesus and show us that He “is the only true and long-lasting answer to our soul’s deepest struggles”. I love how Jesus and the Lord is the center of her book.
You Are Not Here Because You Are Lost…Feeling lost isn’t a location where we wait to be found; it’s a destination we need to be rescued from.
Nicki Koziarz
Are you feeling lost and not sure what season you are in now? In Your New Now, you can find your way to which transition you are in now and can help you understand it better. There is also a quiz in which you can take that tells you what season or seasons you might be in now. Check out the quick at: nickikoziarz.com/yournewnow
I highly suggest getting this book, Your New Now by Nicki Koziarz, because it is such a great book to read as well as helpful to help understand the transitions we go though and to see us through to the other end of those seasons.
What God is doing inwardly cannot always be displayed outwardly…God’s presence is the greatest thing you and I need in any season we are in…Jesus is a comforter, but He is also a challenger.

I love reading and listening to Nicki Koziarz. She always makes me feel like she is my best friend, and we are sitting on the couch together drinking our favorite drink and talking. She made me feel the same way while reading Your New Now. She just talks to me through this book as a friend would talk to me. I wish I had time and space to tell you everything I learned in this book. It's wonderful.

As soon as I heard the title of Nicki Koziarz’s new book “Your New Now: Finding Strength and Wisdom When You Feel Stuck Where You Are”, I knew that it would be the right book for me right now. I am a fan of her other books and Bible studies, and in the last couple of years, I have been seeking strength and wisdom during many challenging transitions.
As I read Nicki’s descriptions of the four seasons of transition through the lens of the life of Moses, I could find practical ways to apply her advice and teachings. I found myself highlighting passages from the text knowing that they will be a great help to me as I continue to experience different seasons of transition in the future.
I highly recommend “Your New Now”. Even if you are not currently in a season of transition, you will find the tips about a variety of topics including trusting God, recognizing the value of the present, navigating in between times, and finishing strong helpful.
Special thanks to NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for my advanced review copy. All opinions and thoughts are my own.

Nicki Koziarz has done it again. ❤️She has written another book that feels like a conversation with a friend. Her teaching on Moses and transition and her personal stories open your eyes to things you wouldn't notice on your own. The questions to reflect on are like a 2 way conversation where you share your similar experiences. The included mini bible studies are great because they encourage you to dig into the word yourself and discern who sincere the teachings are. This will be a book I keep and read multiple times when I'm unsure of where life is going.

This is one of those books that I didn’t know I needed. It’s a book for everyone because everyone experiences the seasons of life. Nicki helped me identify seasons I’ve been in in the past, seasons I’m in currently, and seasons that I’m about to enter. She teaches us using the story of Moses and personal examples and provides lessons to be learned in each transition. She opened my eyes and made things clearer for me. Personally, it’s hard sometimes figuring out when it is time for a season to be over, and she addresses it so well. Check this book out and you will learn how to navigate life well.

We have all been through some kind of transition in our lives. We ask God for explanations and direction but do we listen for a reply? Nicki asks us the tough question, “But are we willing to sit with God at our well until we are able to see He is truly what we need the most?” Do we seek His wisdom and find His ways for this season of your life?

Nicki walks you through four transition seasons as you study the life of Moses. It is like talking with a dear friend as she gives reason, comfort and hope for each transition.

This is the sentence that first grabbed me: "In the space between no longer and not yet, you still belong somewhere". Suddenly there was this whisper in my heart that God was not seeing me as a misfit, as "not enough". The "in between" times in my life don't mean that I've failed. Each season in our life matters, but that doesn't mean it has to stay forever. Throughout her book, Nikki keeps reminding us that some seasons end. That's to be expected. And new seasons come. That might scare us, but if we stop trying to control the whole process we will find that God is trustworthy, and that He has been and is working in us through it all. I appreciate, too, how she calls us to name that something is changing, moving. It can be tempting to push down & ignore all my feelings and wonderings. But acknowledging them and naming them leads to a freedom that leads to becoming more the person God is calling to come forth and be.
Do you feel inadequate in the "in between" ?. You're not. And you're not alone and not without support and encouragement. I could feel a lot of that encouragement - and understanding - while reading Nikki's book. Her writing is like having a long conversation with a friend.

I have read Chapters 1 through 3 so far. Oh the message truly has hit with me and my life right now. I loved taking the quiz to find out what season I am in. I can’t wait to read some more. Thank you Nicki for your message .
