This book needs to come with a warning label that the reader might not be able to put it down! Author Natalie Walters can be counted upon to deliver wonderful Christian romantic suspense stories! Lyla and Nic are members of the SNAP team, special agents entrusted to keep citizens safe. Lyla seems to have an extra gene that enables her to have extra courage to face risky situations where others would back down. Nic calls it impulsivity and worries about her. Can love make a difference? However, because of this extra burst, she has saved several missions. The team tackles several dangerous situations due to different dangerous fronts. The reader faces challenges in keeping on reading to see how Lyla faces an enemy's gun to her face, verses whatever else you might need to be doing! Reserve time to read this! There is a satisfying ending waiting for the reader's discovery!

The final book in The SNAP Agency series focuses mainly on Nicolas and Lyla, but all the members of the Agency are involved in one way or another. This plot twists and turns as it spins along on a rapid pace that kept me flipping pages frantically.

Lyla's insecurities of wanting to feel like she belonged and was loved often led to impulsivity where she acted first and thought second, and this often got her into trouble or situations she could have avoided. Nic Garcia who had feelings for Lila is cool and controlled, and her impulsivity often drives him crazy.

There were so much chemistry between all of the SNAP agents and they worked so well together. This series is one that is best read in order as the prequel connects back to the last book.

Well done series.

I'm getting closer to books that are well-balanced, entertaining and intriguing, Blind Trust was a near miss.

I had a hard time with the romance; it was cartoonish as opposed to even remotely realistic. It took away from the actual storyline. I found my mind wondering, possibly skipping a page and not going back. The mystery was too elaborate to have seasoned agents ogling and defiantly stomping their feet at the audacity they could be in love.

I did like that the Christian belief was not overused and was not defended. Kudos to the author for writing a Christian mystery. I liked when one talking to herself said, I need a scripture and the person she was with had one. At that point, I was endeared to Walters. The scene was tastefully written. I also appreciate that group hugs and prayers were not part of the story.

Walters did represent Christians in Federal Law Enforcement, International Criminal Rings and Local Law Enforcement respectfully and honestly. You go in, get the job done with respect to others and yourself -- the rest is individual personality.

I look forward to exploring more of Walters works and the genre as a whole without the romance -- that has its own class. I would proudly recommend this for young teens going from middle grade to grown up books.

Thank you NetGalley and Revell for accepting my request to read and review Blind Trust.

Lyla Fox is an integral part of the SNAP Agency, but she's often in hot water because she makes impulsive decisions that she believes will protect those she loves. Team mate Nicolas Garcia cares deeply for Lyla and wants to keep her safe, but he finds himself questioning his ability to be a part of the team when his fear for Lyla's safety impacts all his decisions. Lyla receives a threatening letter from a man she put in prison, and she cannot help but do all she can to find out why he's coming after her. Nic can't help but try to protect Lyla as the team works together to put the pieces of the puzzle in place to solve the ultimate mystery.

I enjoyed every minute of this read! Natalie Walters writes characters that I want to be friends with. She also doesn't shy away from writing complex narratives that truly bring the characters to life!

""That's one of the things I love about you, Nicolas." She caught her words the second he glanced over. "You never mince words. Just tell it how it is." Even when she didn't always want to hear it. "But I need a little sunshine and ponies here."
"I'm more of a partly cloudy and armadillo kind of guy.""
This was such an amazing story to conclude this series that has become one of my favorites! I have looked forward to Lyla and Garcia's story and it was all I could've hoped for and more! The author did such a great job creating depth to these characters that we have gotten glimpses of throughout the other stories, and letting us see more about their background and how their feelings for each other have grown throughout the years. Lyla is reckless and brave, working so hard to prove herself. Garcia is calm in the chaos, except when Lyla is at risk. The way he valued Lyla, and worked to do what was best for her and the team, was so endearing. He was the absolute best kind of hero.
I also loved the theme of trusting in the Lord in the face of evil. The author did such a great job with showing the scary situations the team would face, but reminding each other Who they could lean on and trust through it all, even in situations that were overwhelming and hard.
I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know this team, and while I was so sad for their stories to end, I look forward to revisiting this series in the future. This is a series and characters that are dear to my heart, and I look forward to what is next for this amazing author!

Older High School Teens- Three Stars
My personal Rating- Three Stars

While the first two books in this trilogy might not have been my favorite cup of tea, I did still have higher hopes for this one because I really liked the Lyla & Nicolás from the prior books and was really looking forward to their story.

I do wish we could have learned more about Nicolás, as I don’t feel like I really know much about him except for his protectiveness for and also denying his feelings for Lyla. She was a pistol and while I’ll admit to her frustrating me at times, I did like both of them. Especially how well they worked together and got the job done. (Also there was no awkwardly-timed/bad-timing kisses like I’ve seen so many times in suspense books, so props to the author for eliminating that trope!)

When I reviewed my fourth/fifth book (one was a novella) by this author, I had said that this book was going to be the book that would decide if I’ll be continuing on with this author’s books. Well, I did like this one, so I guess I’ll be seeing what the author writes next.

I will say that the ending felt a little bit rushed and I’m impressed by the fact that I didn’t see a certain twist coming. (If I’m being super honest, I’m also annoyed that I didn’t see it coming.)

I really like the concept for this trilogy—a special law enforcement agency that doesn’t have to wait for approvals and be held up because of red tape—so while I’m still sad that I didn’t enjoy the prior two books, I did enjoy this one.

*BFCG may (Read the review to see) recommend this book by this author. It does not mean I recommend all the books by this author.
*I received this book for free from the Publisher (Revell) for this honest review.

I love romantic suspense but I'd never read any of Natalie Walters' books until now. This is the final installment in the SNAP Agency series and although I had not read the previous two books I was still able to really enjoy this story. I had to catch up on Lyla and Nicolás' relationship but other than that, I didn't have any issues understanding the story.

This is definitely an opposites attract romance. Lyla is strong-willed and tends to give into her impulsive side which worries her partner Nicolás, but the story explains why she's that way which I really appreciated. This book was not lacking in suspense and it definitely held my interest the entire time I was reading. This story is a wild ride and I'd recommend it for those who like clean suspense. I only wish I'd had time to read the first two books in the series before reading this one. I will certainly read more books by this author.

I received a complimentary copy from the publisher Revell via NetGalley. All opinions expressed in this review are my own.

Blind Trust
Natalie Walters
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was the third book in Walters’ SNAP Agency series, but it was our first experience in the series. Our only regret was missing the first two books. We thoroughly enjoyed the tension created throughout the story between Lyla and Nicolas as they realize their unconfessed feelings for each other. The contrast between Lyla’s impulsive reckless nature and Nicolas’ careful controlled approach put the future of their potential relationship in jeopardy. Walters wove a complicated storyline that compelled the reader to race toward the conclusion.

Blind Trust is the last book in The SNAP Agency trilogy written by Natalie Walters. Previously, I read and reviewed book one: Lights Out . This series is satisfying to read due to the fast action, contemporary plots, and wonderful characters. Blind Trust, book three, is part romance and part mystery. The lead characters with the Strategic Neutralization and Protection Agency (SNAP) waste no time diving deep into the investigation of a suspicious death. The action is triggered by a threat to the protagonist, Lyla Fox. The man suspected of making the threat turns up dead in the correctional facility where he had been serving his sentence. The timeline of this event was odd. The inmate took his own life two days before the threat on Lyla was carried out. This is the thread the investigators follow to get to the bottom of the mystery. This path leads them onto a deeper plot where the stakes are higher and the threats more intense.

Readers will enjoy the book’s fast pace and the fun dialogue. The cyber-sleuth Kekoa remains a key player who adds humor to the conversations and lightens some of the hours spent at the agency.

Lyla Fox and Nicolas Garcia are independent individuals with specialized training. The romantic relationship that blossoms between them is one to follow with great interest. They are mature professionals learning how to trust one another. Over the course of the story, their perspectives move from rugged independence to accepting how important it is to treat those we love with care and understanding. They realize that solo acts with little regard for the impact of their actions can have unintended bad outcomes.

Readers can appreciate the great action told with smart prose. I enjoyed book three, but realize I haven’t read book two. The success of this book prompts me to find book two so I can complete this fast action series. I received a copy of the book from the publisher Revell in exchange for my honest review.

Blind Trust is a Master Class on pacing, and it amply demonstrates how a somewhat formulaic novel can still be a fun read with edge-of-your-seat excitement! I’ve rarely seen this done better.

This is the final book in the SNAP trilogy, and I’m sorry that I did not read any of the previous books. However, I’m pretty sure that this one would be the best. This story closes out the adventures of Lyla Fox and Nicolás “Nic” Garcia, as well as the rest of the team at SNAP—Strategic Neutralization and Protection Agency. The team happens upon information about counterfeiting and military-grade arms sales by someone inside the federal government, and as they begin to investigate, people begin dying under suspicious circumstances. Then, Lyla finds herself in the crosshairs of the evil, faceless, and traitorous enemy they seek.

Lyla and Nic are fabulous characters that at times are polar opposites, and then at times exactly alike. That’s probably the main reason for their chemistry, as well as the enjoyment in reading of their exploits. Further, the remaining team members—as well as their spouses—add the perfect camaraderie for team dynamics. The team includes a Hawaiian character that I thought was hilarious, and I could just picture him in my imagination each time he uttered something funny.

I previously mentioned the pacing. That’s what really put this novel over the top for me. I rarely see such a masterful build to the climax, and then to keep the climax going for a number of pages. Something happens at about the halfway point of the story, and clear your calendar because you won’t want to put it down after that. I didn’t!

The arcs for the main characters are “okay” - but if I were to consider the overall transformation of the characters throughout the trilogy, I’d bet the character arcs would be fantastic.

I also said that the story was somewhat formulaic. That’s not a knock. There are formulaic stories out there because the formulas work! Sometimes authors use bare-bones formulas, but then some authors take the formula next level like Natalie Walters.

The story takes place in Washington D.C. I’ve read plenty of stories that include scenes in a Metro (subway) station, but this is the first story I’ve read that also mentions the slug lines the commuters sometimes have to endure. My wife used to do that when she lived in that area, and she used to tell me stories about it. Thus, when the author mentioned the unwritten “rules” for slugging, I just had to smile. Bravo Natalie Walters for that attention to detail!

To be honest, if I’d have known just how good this final book would be, I would have read the other books in the series first. However, I can attest that this story definitely stands on its own. Stories like this typically have some reveals to them, but this final book has what is probably the biggest reveal of the entire series.

I always read any notes an author includes after the end of the story. In this book, the author goes into what parts of the book are loosely based on actual events. I found it very interesting and I wouldn’t want any reader to miss out.

I very much enjoyed this book and the wonderful storyline the author created. I’ll likely go back and read the first two books to see how it all started. I highly recommend Blind Trust!

This is the last book in this series and one that you hate to see come to an end. It was so interesting. As the title denotes you just sometimes have to have blind trust in someone. If you like nail biting suspense and mystery then you’re sure to like this book of Walters. It could be a stand alone book but characters from the previous books do visit throughout the book. There is romance being rekindled between the two main characters although they are in denial. Walters is a great Suspense writer and you will find yourself turning the pages to see what happens next… I received a complimentary copy of the book from the publisher. Opinions expressed are my own.

As the third book in the SNAP Agency series by Natalie Walters, Blind Trust deals with characters we already know and care for from previous novels. Lyla Fox and Nicolás Garcia are no strangers to us or to each other, after years of working together through intense situations. The SNAP Agency team works together elegantly, almost seamlessly, except that Lyla takes risks with her life Nic would rather not take. Apparently he values her more than she values herself. When a case puts Lyla in the crosshairs, the hardest part of keeping her alive just might be getting her to accept that her life is worth more than the truth. And she means more to the team than she realizes.

Walters has a way with conspiracy. And intrigue. And danger and romance. Blind Trust is a showcase of that talent. This book goes fast and would be a quick and easy read if it didn’t require some serious mental sorting through the murky waters of money laundering and secret government arms deals. I love the way she writes the relationship between Lyla and Nic, too. It moves at a believable pace, with the kind of interactions that show the depth of their connection. As with the rest of the SNAP Agency series, Walters delivers a novel worth cozying up and enjoying.

Thank you to the author and publisher for allowing me a copy to read and review. All opinions expressed here are my own and are completely genuine.

As someone who has been waiting for Lyla and Garcia’s story since they first showed up in book one I was excited that it was finally time!
Lyla and Garcia were definitely a study in opposites attracting and that caused some friction but I loved watching them work through it to see how perfect they were for each other! They made us wait for it though!
The suspense and mystery was well done and kept me engaged throughout the whole book with some twists and high stakes moments!
Loved interacting with all the characters from the previous books and while I’m sad to see this series end I’m looking forward to whatever else the author has in store for us!

Blind Trust is book three in the SNAP Agency series that is written by Natalie Walters. I have not read the other books in the series, and I did not have any issues following along. This is Lyla and Nicolas's story. Lyla is very great at her job, however she is very impulsive. This grates on Nicolas and his nerves. They both seem to push each other's buttons. They both clearly are attracted to each other - and it's true what they say -- opposites attract. They are both VERY different. Lyla finds herself targeted by a man she helped put into prison - and the team is worried about her impulsiveness. Will Nicolas be able to save her?

The story is chock full of action and suspense with lots of twists and turns along the way.
The book is well written. The author has done a great job with a plot that pulls you in within the first few chapters. Thank you to the author and publisher for allowing me to read a copy of this book - all thoughts are my own.

I am always amazed at Natalie Walters’s writing because she manages to craft novels with nonstop intense action but also slows down enough for great character development and romance. I was so excited to finally read Lyla and Nicolas’s story and this book did not disappoint! While you do not need to read the rest of this series in order to enjoy this novel, it does give background information that is valuable. The suspense in this story is fantastic. I was hooked from the beginning and couldn’t put the novel down! And the classic romance I love from this author is burning (in a clean way!) throughout the entire book. I really liked the strong female lead and the big-hearted hero. I truly cannot recommend this story enough! I am sad to see this series end, but I am excited for what comes next from this talented author.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. Opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own.

All good things must come to an end, but I certainly don't want this series to say goodbye! It has been an action-packed series with love and danger rolled into one.

In this final book, we watch the love story of Lyla and Nicolas unfold. It has been some time in the making, and the story does not disappoint. Lyla is impetuous, while Nicolas is steadfast, but when they say opposites attract, they aren't kidding. These two could not be any different. But I think those differences pull them together and create a relationship that will always endure.

I loved the action that the SNAP agency experiences on a nearly daily basis. While I wouldn't want to be in their shoes, I can appreciate their training, skills, and dedication to keeping this country safe. I still think my favorite character is Kekoa, but the rest of the cast has wormed their way into my heart.

Lyla and Nicolas have an interesting relationship before admitting they love each other. In one scene, he says he is a partly cloudy and armadillo kind of guy. I loved Lyla's confusion and Nicolas' explanation. I got a good chuckle from this interaction between the two, and it sets off a running joke for later in the book. Here is just a snippet of that scene.

"No, I get the partly cloudy. Makes sense because you're a bit moody, but armadillo? I'm going to need an explanation on that."

"...And an armadillo because of its built-in Kevlar."

"...you realize you could've picked a crocodile or a rhino for the same reason?"

"True. But can they roll into a ball like a Transformer?"

Another scene that adds humor to this story is a visit to the Rage room. If you haven't heard of these, you go into a room with items you can destroy with a bat, hammer, etc. It is an excellent way to get out your anger or frustration. This comment from Lyla definitely made me smile.

"I was just, um, thinking it wasn't fair that I came out of there looking like Clifford the Big Red Dog licked my head. And you pop a baseball cap on your head, and suddenly your MLB's poster boy."

The crux of the story kept me guessing and wondering who was behind the case they were investigating. I never suspected how this would play out and some news that Lyla would learn before it was all over regarding her family.

I am sad to see this series end, but I realized I had not read the first book. So I will have one more encounter with the SNAP agency. While you don't have to read this series in order, I highly recommend that you do to follow the SNAP agency, and each book builds off of the previous one.

We give this book, and the series, 5 paws up.

Blind Trust is the third and final book in The SNAP Agency series. I think this could be understood and enjoyed okay as a standalone, but readers will definitely understand the team dynamics more, and therefore get a little more out of it when read in order. (Aside from that, it's a great series and very much worth the read anyway. )

In this final book, we get Lyla and Nic's story. And boy, what a story it was...filled with loads of action and suspense that kept me on the edge of my seat in anticipation of what would come next. There was a lot going on in the story, but never to where it felt overwhelming... just the right amount of twists and turns... and that slow-burn romance? Oh, I loved it! While I am certainly sad to see this series end (honestly, Kekoa might just be one of my favorite characters in a suspense series ever!), this was a great way to end it. I enjoyed every moment!

If you enjoy Christian suspense, this is definitely worth checking out.

After meeting Nicholás and Lyla in “Light’s Out,” I have been eagerly anticipating their love story❤️ Lyla was just such a fun character!! Her spunk, strength, and determination were admirable and her commitment to protecting her country was commendable👏🏼 I really enjoyed her sassiness and grit!!

Nicholás was also a great MMC!! I loved how protective he was over Lyla, and seeing him internally struggle with his feelings for her just had me going🥹🥹🫶🏼🫶🏼

My favorite parts of the story, however, had to be Kekoa’s appearances😂❤️ His childlike personality and obsession with food just WON ME OVER🤣 I absolutely loved everything about his character!!

I also really enjoyed the witty banter between the members of the SNAP agency❤️ Their charisma and support of one another just gave me all the warm fuzziness inside🥰 What an awesome team!! Seeing characters from previous books truly felt like visiting old friends🥹

Lastly, I wanted to say that I really appreciated how Natalie artfully interwove faith elements into the plot line🙏🏻 These reminders of God’s presence and His sovereignty truly meant a lot to me🥰

Although I am sad that this is the final installment in the SNAP Agency series, I have every confidence that Natalie will provide us with even more swoon worthy romantic suspense for years to come!!❤️

🚨CW: clean suspenseful romance with Christian themes and kissing only (no language)

My review: This was the third book in this series. It's not necessary to read the first two book to read this book. Although it would be helpful to get some of the back information. This was a book that I had trouble putting down. Lyla and Nicolas are dancing around their feelings for each other. As they do this, Lyla's life is being threatened. And Nicolas will do anything to protect her. The ending was a total surprise as well. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
