I receiveid a complimentary copy of Her Love Submission in echange for an honest review. I really like the premise of the plot. There was some light BDSM and a rather entertaining pool story that made me laugh. Overall, it was a decent read.

First off, a huge thank you to NetGalley, the publisher, and the author for letting me read this wonderful book.

Recently I have gotten into romance reads again and this one did not disappoint. I loved the relationship between these two and need more from them in the future.

This is a good book. The two main characters are Zara and Callan. They meet at a wedding. There was an instant attraction. They had a one night stand. Six weeks later, Zara moves to Los Angeles, where her sister is, also Callan is. Zara is pregnant, as soon as Callan knows he ask her to marry him. She agrees to. They each have issues but together they work them out together and fall in love.

Complimentary copy provided by NetGalley and publisher for my honest opinion and review.
Steamy factor: 4 Romance factor: 3-4 This book was a fast and spicy read with some depth added toward the end where their paths have crossed earlier in life and it all plays out. On a rating of: I love, I like, it's ok and meh..... this book is a like-love!

I really wanted to like this story. It was well written and had some moments of disconnect, but nothing terrible. This reader felt there was nothing new, a story that had been read before. It is my first book by this author, and I will continue to follow.

Thank you to NetGalley and Evernight Publishing for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.

The store begins with the Female Character (Zara) finding out about her pregnant and remembering about the incidents which happens at her Sister's wedding with her brother - in - law's friend who happens to be the Male Character (Callan)

Actually from this you can get that the book is based on the trope SURPRISE PREGNANCY and I would say that the book was way different from all the books I read under this trope.

The heroine fails in an interview, then calls the hero to inform about her current situation but fails as he invites her to his home. At his place they sign an unexpected contract almost giving me a panic attack.

Somewhere the story felt discontinuing from my interest later but then the plot took a massive turn grabbing my interests the very next second CALLAN told ZARA 'Marry me'

While she thought he wanted to marry her just for the child, she realised he would do anything to make his child have a family. But not till the end they recognised the affection they had for each other.

The hero definitely has a past and that's really emotional. 'Rex' the dog the heroine took care of was just adorable and I'm so glad that the author took the time to explain about the sweetheart I adored.

I don't want to end this, without mentioning the bond between the heroine and her sisters. It was really special and lovely to read.

Tropes:-
Sub-Dom
Surprise pregnancy
Grumpy hero
Los Angeles
A night but more

The story was beautifully connected from present to past. I tried hard not to give spoilers but there are two lines I wanted to share in my review.

“You’re like every woman’s dream man.”
“I only want to be your dream man.”

Callan and Zara's bond was as understanding as it could get. She was the psychologist but he could read her mind better than herself.

Mixed feelings about this one...I didn't love it but I didn't hate it either.

It just felt really choppy and at times was hard to follow. I really didn't connect to the characters as well. And the whole thing about their past seemed a bit much...I don't know. It was just okay. A quick read.

I went into this book completely blind and I loved it. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it was really well written and I loved seeing their relationship unfold. I really loved the ending too!

Her Love Submission is the fourth title in new-to-me author, Helen Walton's Billionaire's Reluctant Brides series, and it's the first book in the series I've read, and although I'm no stranger to BDSM romances, this one was a rather short, just barely okay read for me, and it gets a 2-star rating.

The novel opens just a the heroine, Zara, who is prone to anxiety attacks, discovers she's pregnant after a one-night-stand with the best man at her sister's wedding, only one month earlier. He lives in L.A., and she calls him to discuss it but instead decides to wait until she gets there, since she's headed there anyway to see her sister and go to a job interview--which are among the problems I had with this character. She's just earned her degree as a psychologist and is job-hunting--the interviews aren't going well, probably because she's a nervous wreck most of the time.

She calls the baby daddy, Callan, who practically demands that she stop in and see him before getting to her sister's house, and does she tell him about the pregnancy? Nope. Instead, she discovers he's a Dominant, he pegs her as a submissive, and without much explanation. he has her sign a BDSM contract. At no time was there any mention of safe, sane, or consensual, and so, of course, they have Dominant/submissive sex, which Zara finds that she loves, and she's very attracted to this very private, very handsome Dom, but still doesn't mention her pregnancy.

Later, at a party with her sister and new brother-in-law, as well as the family Zara plans to be a night nanny for while job hunting in L.A., news of her pregnancy is announced by one of her hosts. Callan is stunned but immediately proposes marriage--hardly the way any one-night-stand would act upon hearing this piece of news. Next thing you know, Zara is moving into Callan's home, but neither one of them ever really has a heart to heart conversation until near the end of this book, the denouement coming as no surprise to this reader, since it's hinted at far earlier in this novel.

To say that I didn't particularly like either Zara's sister, who was far too judgmental, or Callan and Zara, is putting it mildly. I felt that Zara needed a psychologist more than she needed to be one, and the same is true of Callan, who is totally closed off emotionally, leaving Zara in the dark about himself, his issues, his motivations and his upbringing for most of this novel, even after they marry. Had the author paid a little more attention to character development and a little less attention to the sex scenes, this novel might have been a much better read than it was.

I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this novel. The opinions stated are my own.

Zara has a one night stand with Zane at her sister's wedding. She goes to tell Rex, the baby daddy but before she could, he presents her with a dom/sub contract. When he finds out she's pregnant, her convinces her to marry. He has a past which prevents him from fully committing to Zara. I really liked their shared past and that they did try to communicate their feelings and issues. I felt some of the kinky stuff and the play room to be a bit cliche and the kinkiness of of her sister and her friend/employer just seems like a strange coincidence.

I really wanted to love this booked based off the beautiful cover and title, but sadly the entire novel fell flat.

While well written, it seemed like everything was just thrown into this book with no storyline to really bring it together. The characters felt flat with little character development and there was absolutely no trust between the two main characters.

I would certainly give the author another chance, but Her Love Submission, in my option, could be used as a fantastic basis for a story if more time was put into character development while not trying to throw every "cool" spicy book trope into one story.

Thank you Evernight Publishing and Netgalley for this arc in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

Her Love Submission is the fourth instalment in the Billionaires’ Reluctant Brides series, coming out on 19 October 2022.

This was a quick read. The story opened with Zara finding out she was pregnant from a one-night stand with her brother-in-law’s best friend. Zara had anxiety attacks from time to time, and close acquaintances with various kinks. She went to baby daddy’s place to tell him about the pregnancy but ended up finding out she had a kink, as well.

Okay, then.

Sad to say, there was nothing special about the story. The flow was very abrupt, no build up whatsoever. It got really funny one time — it went like this

heroine’s sister: why is there a bruise on your thigh
h: it’s nothing
*chaos*
h’s friend to h’s sis: what’s wrong with you being an aunty —
H: she had sex with me, I did that
h’s sis: YOU DID WHAT TO MY SISTER
h: no, IT WAS CONSENSUAL
H’s friend: wait you’re pregnant?
*heroine turns around* h: yes I’m pregnant and you’re the father
*chapter ends*

Rollercoaster ride, I tell ya.

I don’t want to say it’s bad, the book got some pointers, but yeah, it’s lacking a bit. I only enjoyed it because of how funny the abruptness was.

I don’t like the main characters much, but one thing I liked was the shared past about Rex. Loved that one though.

2 stars~

This was my first book from Helen Walton and I enjoyed it. I love a good sex scene and am not bothered by BDSM, but readers who are will likely want to skip this one. I also love a surprise pregnancy trope, though this particular pregnancy was discovered way earlier than I would expect for a woman not actively trying to get pregnant. Regardless, the chemistry between the two main characters was hot and the easy acceptance of their kink from friends and family (who admittedly have kinks of their own) was nice to see. While the 4th in a series, I did not feel lost having not read the earlier books, though I did go and read the synopsis of each of those books prior to starting this one, which likely helped. I did like the sweet twist at the end, though it was not unexpected. A 4-star read overall.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a complimentary ARC of this book. The opinions contained herein are entirely my own.

I absolutely loved this book. The connection between the two main characters was off the charts. They saved each other in so many ways it resonated with me and real made me want to keep turning pages. When I got to the end I was like. No.I.Need.More.
