I enjoyed this sweet summer story. However, I will say that I didn’t enjoy it as much as I enjoy Monaghan’s previous title, Nora goes off script. Still, it was a solid 3.5 stars. I also have to say that I almost wish it was just told from Sam’s perspective as I found Wyatt’s dialog a little boring. However, I did like how the author gave him dyslexia for disability representation
Overall, it was a cute summer read.

This was my first book by Annabel Monaghan. I alternated between the ebook & the audiobook. I really enjoyed the narration. I love a good second chance romance, and this one was adorable. Same Time Next Summer is the go-to beach read that everyone needs.

𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰: After adoring Nora Goes Off Script, I jumped at the chance to read Same Time Next Summer, and Annabel Monaghan did not disappoint! I knew I would like this book, but I wasn’t prepared for how much I would love it. The author completely transported me to the ocean-view of Long Island, New York, and I was captivated by the what-should-have-been-all-along romance. This would be the perfect, addicting beach read for any vacationer who loves nostalgia, music, and creativity! I cannot wait to see what the author writes next!

I absolutely loved this! I love Annabel Monaghan and I will read absolutely anything she writes. It was such a great summer read, I felt like I was on the beach while reading this.

As always, the characters were amazing. They felt so real and the character development was done very well. I wanted to reach out and hug the main characters on multiple occasions. I love how Monaghan always creates very well rounded characters who feel real.

All and all, this is a super cute and sweet second chance romance that will leave you feeling all the emotions. I found myself laughing, crying, and crying from laughing. It's a quick read too, I finished it in one sitting because I couldn't put it down!

thank you netgalley for this ARC. Loved Nora goes of Script so super eager to read this one as well. Same time next summer is a great book that takes the reader on an emotional journey of self discovery as the heroine struggles to make past and present meet for the ultimate resolution/conclusion that can really only go one way.

I loved how I felt while reading this. It felt like I was actually there, soaking up in the sunlight, the only music being the waves.

Give me summer! All the warmth and smells of summer wrapped into a book. I enjoy this. I liked Nora a little better but this was still solid 4 star read!

I love Annabel Monaghan, and she did not disappoint with this novel. It is a sweet story that is very relatable. Her ability to tell a story and draw you in never disappoints me. Annabel is one author that I will always pre-order books for! I laughed out loud more than once, and I also wanted to give the characters a hug at several different points.

Overall, it was fantastic, and I highly recommend it!

Sam returns to her family’s summer beach home with her fiancé, Jack, to finalize wedding plans. The relaxed Sam of her youth is long gone and in her place is more uptight version. While there, she runs into her first love, Wyatt, who’s parents owned the house next door and who she hasn’t seen in 14 years since their very traumatic breakup.

<b>Same Time Next Summer</b> gave me the beach vibes I was looking for. This book made me very nostalgic. Having grown up in a small beach town, this book made me reminiscent of long summer days I spent at the beach with friends. It’s easy to get caught up in Annabel Monaghan’s writing. It wasn’t necessarily a new or fresh story idea, but it was well-written and I just loved Sam and Wyatt. This wasn’t just a light and fluffy story about first love and the possibility of second chances. It also delves into mental health issues and the author approached this subject in a realistic way as well as family dynamics as well.

If you are looking for a great beach read, this is it. I personally enjoyed this one even more than <b>Nora Goes Off Script</b> and look forward to reading whatever Annabel Monaghan writes next. 4.5 stars

There's a definite summer lake romance trend the past few years and I'm not mad about it. They're full of nostalgia and flashbacks and slowing down and coming back to your roots and seeing the events of your childhood in a new light. This story is no different. Girl has her heartbroken by her childhood love, creates a comfortable, safe, and fairly empty life for herself with a new type A fiance. Girl has to make a trip out to her family's summer lake house and come face to face with the one who got away. Girl remembers who she truly is and learns that her heartbreak wasn't as cut-and-dry as it seemed. Girl rediscovers her passion, freedom, and fun! Fade to glorious lake-y sunset. Fin. This book is predictable, but in a comfortable way. It was very easy and quick to read, but won't stand out in my memory in the weeks to come. Sam and Wyatt are easy to root for, though there was nothing especially memorable about their relationship or either character. I liked Sam's dynamic with her little sister. Thanks to Netgalley for the copy to review.

I absolutely loved Every Summer After by Annabel Monaghan. This sophomore novel was good but not great. A second chance romance which has you rooting for the FMC and MMC. Sam comes back to her childhood beach home with her fiance to look at wedding venues when she runs into her childhood love Wyatt. It took a while for me to get into the plot the beginning felt a little slow to pick up. I could have also used a little more character development on the characters.

This book was everything I wanted in a summer romance! It was engaging from the beginning and one I didn’t want to end. The characters were easy to connect with, which makes it easy to root for them from the start!

I"m such a sucker for second chance romance so I'm biased a bit when the trope includes it. I do wish there had been a bit more character maturity for depth and chemistry for me to really buy into it and that would've bumped it to a higher rating for me. Loved the plot though and such a great summer read!

I appreciated this second book from Monaghan. A satisfying summer read that gives Sweet Home Alabama vibes.

Sam has everything she needs in life. A successful fiance, a wedding to plan and a well paying job. When she returns to her family's beach house to tour a wedding venue, she doesn't expect her ex Wyatt to be living next door. Where has he been? And why didn't he get in touch with her over the years?

I enjoyed how this book went back and forth in time periods so we got to see the build up of Sam and Wyatt's relationship. Their union was sweet and maybe because of this, I expected more of an exciting ending, not so abrupt. Nora Goes Off Script was such a highlight for me that I couldn't wait to read more by Annabel Monaghan. While this book was a delight in itself, I don't think it reached the high bar that Nora had for me. I'm looking forward to reading Summer Romance and wonder if that will be my new Annabel favourite!

This was the ultimate summer read. I loved it even though I read it in the fall. Loved the characters and the character development - I feel like this book did an amazing job in making you feel like you KNEW these people! The ending was a little rushed. I did feel like it was more chick-lit than romance. I also wish there was more time with them as a couple as adults. Overall, a lovely beach read. Thank you for the ARC! :)
