This is a good book. The two main characters are Jasmine and Ace. Jasmine owns a diner. Ace is a rancher. Ace’s grandfather dies and leaves his ranch to Ace as long as he marries in a year. Ace tells Jasmine about the will and Jasmine tells him she will marry him. They get married in Las Vegas. They come back to the ranch. Eventually they fall in love.

Can’t go wrong when Carolyn Brown has a sexy cowboy in the book. It is nice when friends can come together and find love. Great series and nice book to read.

One Hot Cowboy Wedding seems like it is part of a series, however I didnt read the rest of them. It can be read as a standalone but it is a large cast of characters that at times was a little tough to keep track of. This book is about Ace and Jasmine/Jazzy, two friends who have a quick marriage of convenience so he can keep his ranch, however the secret marriage is quickly displayed publicly as they are the winners of the chapels grand prize. What happens next is the need for a larger display of affections and keeping up the charade through it all. I thought it was a fine book, but it was a little too quick to the intimacy and I would have preferred a more slow burn romance.

Ace Riley, Jasmine's long-time best friend, is a charismatic, attractive cowboy who owns a ranch and is a pro at bull-riding. Their friendship took root when Jasmine left her mundane city job at an accounting firm to pursue her passion in cooking at a local diner. Now, Ace is facing a predicament. His grandfather's will, which Ace hadn't fully scrutinized, has a condition requiring him to get married within a week or risk losing his beloved ranch and all the investments he made in it to a scheming cousin. Jasmine, who cares deeply for Ace, proposes a secret and temporary one-year marriage to save his ranch. Their intention was to continue living their lives as usual, without the burden of a permanent commitment. However, a passionate kiss from Ace outside the Las Vegas wedding chapel, followed by their wedding being broadcasted nationwide on television, sets off a storm in their native Texas, as their stunned friends and families watch on.

This tale combines the themes of friends-turned-lovers and a pretend marriage in Vegas, all set within a traditional cowboy romance. As a reader, I found this compelling combination hard to resist.

Cowboys, friends to lovers, fake marriage = Great read

Ace and Jasmine are friends who get married to save Ace’s family ranch. Whata they hoped would be a secret wedding becomes national news. Join them as they “pretend” to be married and actually fall in love while saving the family ranch. . A fun, quick read with great characters.

Thank you NetGalley, Carolyn Brown and Sourcebooks Casablanca for the ARC of this book which I voluntarily read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

You can always count on Carolyn Brown for a good story full of colorful southern characters. One Hot Cowboy Wedding is no different! This book is a re-release from several years ago. I'm so glad they brought it back out for a new audience. This is the story of Jasmine and Ace who get married on a whim in Vegas to try to save Ace's ranch. Of course, it turns into more than they expected. I adored their journey as they found love together. The story is well written and lol funny at times. I highly recommend One Hot Cowboy Wedding and any of Carolyn Brown's other books!

Lots of sass, steamy scenes, huge cast of characters and of course laden with traditions, faith, and country. ONE HOT COWBOY WEDDING is vintage Carolyn Brown with an updated twist bringing the tale into current times.
A fast Las Vegas wedding sounds so cliché but in the case of Ace Riley and Jasmine King it fulfilled a rather desperate need. Keeping his grandfather’s ranch was on the line and there was no one Ace trusted more than his best friend Jazzy to keep an exceptionally large secret. And so the fun begins.
Jasmine and Ace have led widely different lives. Ace comes from a large family; Jasmine is an only child. Jasmine left behind a career to take over her grandmother’s café. It really suited her better. Ace has spent lots of time on the road but is now growing his ranch. Neither looking to truly settle down. Candidly Ace has enjoyed being free to play the field.
So to obey his grandfathers will, Ace needs a wife. Jasmine as a good friend volunteers to fill that role for a year. Meaning this was to be a temporary arrangement. Both were happy with the idea. But both planned to keep this between the two of them. You know what they say about the best of plans.
In true Carolyn Brown fashion we are treated to a bird’s eye view of just how chaotic these two characters lives become. Interfering, well meaning parents. Rather intrusive friends and neighbors. And certainly top of the list undeniable attraction that seems almost impossible to rein in.
Looking for fun, ONE HOT COWBOY WEDDING by Carolyn Brown keeps its promise to entertain. Just might be one of the best written by decidedly a favorite author of mine, and that is saying something. ONE HOT COWBOY WEDDING in written by Carolyn Brown who has her hand on the pulse of romantic comedy readers. Absolute fun from start to finish. Wonderful choice of a beach read.

I really adore Carolyn’s cowboy books! They’re full of love, character, and family! This one is a friends to lovers and marriage of convince. I like that Ace and Jasmine are best friends so they decided to get married for a year bc Ace must marry within two weeks or lose his ranch. He didn’t plan to marry. So they marry in Vegas thinking it can be kept quiet, but that’s not what happens. The whole town knows and they now have to pretend. Plus the kiss they share changes everything too! It really was a fun and sweet romance!

Best friends to lovers and Vegas pretend marriage together in a down home cowboy romance is a potent combo which this dear reader found irresistible. An auto-buy author’s older edition gets a re-furbishing from the publisher and reminded me I still hadn’t finished pursuing all the books in this sassy fun cowboy romance series.

One Hot Cowboy Wedding is the fourth in the Spikes and Spurs series of loosely connected standalone romances. The previous romance pairs do have recurring secondary roles and ongoing plot threads so I would recommend getting this series in order if possible.

Jasmine’s best friend is flirty and hot bull-riding and ranch owning Ace Riley. They’ve been friends since she bought the local small town diner and began cooking to her heart’s desire after shucking the dreary city accounting firm job. Ace is in a jam. His grandfather put a clause in his will that Ace never noticed when he inherited the ranch. Now, if he doesn’t have himself hitched with a wife in a week, he’ll not only loose the ranch to his ratfink cousin, but he’ll lose all the capital-improvements he sunk into it. Jazzy can’t let that happen so she and Ace decide to do a secret, temporary marriage that will end in a year. The secret part would keep their lives going along business as usual since neither want anything to do with a long-term hitch up.

But, that scorching hot kiss Ace laid on Jazzy outside the wedding chapel in Vegas and, well, the whole wedding gets air time on National TV and the great state of Texas felt something like an F-5 tornado rumble through when their families and friends got a good look at the TV set.

I had a good time with this light and easy cowboy romance. This pair were goners as soon as they locked lips after spending almost two years quietly getting to know each other and liking the person they saw. Forced to smile and pretend before others and forced to share close proximity was all it took to have them secretly longing that the other was not so opposed to making it permanent. They really just needed to own up in a serious conversation, but I did like the way the author slowly brought them along to full realization between the fun times with friends and the antics of their sets of parents. Jazzy’s mama was in full bridezilla mode and it was something to behold.

I loved how their relationship happened while living and working in their small town and the daily happenings surrounded by other down to earth types. It was sexy and country charming. Light and flirty, but laced with deeper connection. I relaxed and felt uplifted while being entertained and swooning over their romance. Cowboy Romance fans need to tag this one for the reading pile.

Jasmine has agreed to marry her best friend Ace so he can keep his ranch. What was supposed to be so simple turned very complicated as their trip to Vegas and the marriage had somehow got video and was on T.V. so when they returned to their home town everyone knew that they were married and the idea of keeping it quiet was no longer an option. Now what will they do once a year is done? A good fun story with good characters.

This one was fun, and sexy, but for me it was a little slow and a little stilted. The dialogue didn't seem to flow like many of Carolyn Brown's books do, and the plot was predictable and has been done quite a bit. But I liked the characters, the setting, the sense of family on the ranch. I always enjoy a cowboy story. Glad I read it, I will try some of the others in the series, but not a stand out for me.

I received a complimentary copy from the publisher and all opinions expressed are entirely my own.

I used to not love the friends to lovers trope until this book. One Hot Cowboy Wedding is set in Vegas and follows a hunky cowboy (Ace) who is a playboy for days and decides to marry his best friend Jasmine in secret. But all good plans have a pin it it and one kiss leads to the other. Loved the steam, the chemistry, banter and the setting. Recommend it

I love marriages of convenience but Carolyn Brown's style isn't for me. The southern/cowboy broad accent was played up too much for my taste.

Tropes🤌🏻:-
📍hot cowboy🥵
📍fake wedding
📍friends to lovers❤️
📍butterflies in stomach moments💕

This story started with a proposition that Jasmine makes to Ace to help him to save his ranch yup he's a hot damn cowboy and a big playboy too🥵💕🔥.

The proposition was to marry each other for a year to save Ace’s ranch which his grandfather left in his will for Ace but yes a big but was Ace and Jasmine fell in love before they knew it😍🥰💕 and things got spicy and got between them🔥🔥❤️🤌🏻 now that fake marriage idea was not so fake 😍💕

I loved the book💕❤️ and Ace too, in the beginning, he was a playboy who got a red leather book of girls he dated but I liked his character's soft sweet and kind and the look he give Jasmine every time😍🤌🏻💕.
I like Lucy too she is a fun character💕.

This is the fourth book in the Spikes and Spurs series. This is a reissue, the original date of release was 2012. I had not read any of the other books in this series before picking up this book. You should be able to read this book as a stand alone but there are some previous character mentions and tie ins and it could get confusing.

This is a good cowboy story, it roped me in from the beginning (couldn't resist the pun) and carried through. Jasmine and Ace were a great match, friends for a long while before feelings started to surface. But are the feelings genuine or forced due to impending choices that need made?

I am a fairly recent fan of Carolyn Brown, and this novel, which I stated already, was previously released in 2012, read a little differently than the ones I've read to date. You can definitely tell how much the author has grown over the years in her storytelling. I am going to go back and read the first 3 books in the series so I can get better familiarized with the characters in this series.

Cute Fake Marriage story of good friends get married to save the ranch. The characters were winsome, especially the charming main characters. Jasmine’s mom was a riot: the author nailed the over-the-top Southern wedding expectations. The cons: a poorly-developed villain and the cornpone Texas sayings. I live in the area. I’ve never met anyone who really says these things except as a joke. I give this 4 stars for being a solid Carolyn Brown story with good humor and a good plot. This is a great beach reach.

western - friends into lovers
It’s all in the details, and Ms. Brown uses just enough to weave a delightful tale that kept me turning the pages.
Ace is the perennial bachelor, a good time cowboy and Jazzie, well she’s been hurt by a man before and isn’t interested in love, but they are very good friends.
He has a problem and she volunteers to help and, oh boy, no good deed goes unpunished.
If you love rom-coms or cowboys...do not miss this one.
I requested and received a NetGalley ARC gratis and offer my opinion in the same.
