I really loved this book of poetry! I saved so many quotes, and will be writing them in my book journal to remember what I related to. Also to remind myself that I’m not alone with my feelings. It’s nice to read something and feel understood.

This is a collection of reflection and growth. I recommend a woman in any chapter of her journey read this. So beautifully written!

This book enthralled me from the very first poem. Not a lot of ones I've read start with such open festered wounds the way this did. It felt like I was reading things I've only ever thought in the deep depths of my mind -- and heart. I finished and sat there contemplating about who to recommend this to first and MANY people popped into my mind. So safe to say this is a definite must for those like me who need to see what they feel in the written word.

This book was so short but said so much in so few pages. It said all I felt regarding anxiety and self-image that I loved. Also while I couldn't relate to all of the passages for example the one about heartbreak, it was still thought-provoking. I also loved the images of the words that were a carry-on from the poem before them.

This was fantastic, I can’t wait to purchase my own copy. There were so many pieces that stood out to me and that truly resonated with me. I’ve highlighted the crap out of the e book and would love to annotate a physical copy if I get the chance. It deals with harder darker emotions in such beautiful ways and it’s vague enough you will be able to find relatability within the words even if you don’t resonate with the specific story being told

Book was so beautiful written. Lot of poems that tug at your heart strings. I think some illustrations would have made it even more beautiful to tell her story.

Thank you NetGalley and Central Avenue Publishing for the chance to read and review this book.

I was pretty excited when I saw girl made of glass on netaglley! I love central avenue and so many of the books they publish, and the cover and title on this one are super cute. However, the book just wasn't it for me. After the first poem things just went down and I couldn't get into it. It feels like so many people are writing like this and nothing really stood out.

This is a beautiful and heart wrenching book of poetry. The poems are gorgeous and I think these words will find a home in the souls of the girls who often feel too fragile for this world.

I don’t remember the last time I highlighted as many lines and poems as I did with this collection. The first part, dealing with fear, anxiety and the way in which the past haunts us, deeply resonated with me and felt incredibly cathartic to read.
This book flows to take the reader through the author’s profoundly personal writing. Emotions are described with great accuracy, some were sharply familiar, others felt foreign, but the rawness of the poems does not leave the reader cold.
It’s true that I did not connect with two of the four parts as much as with the others, and some poems did not feel as original as I hoped because the subject has been written about many times, but this remained a powerful read for me.

I read this because of the gorgeous cover and ended up connecting with it on such an intimate level. In this beautiful collection of poetry, Shelby Leigh lays bare themes such as heartbreak, trauma, self-doubt, self-love, healing and being human.

As a 'giver' myself just like the author, I resonated with this book deeply. Having had my fair share of past hurts, regrets and toxic relationships, the experiences and imagery described here are all too familiar and relatable. I also appreciate the self-love exercises that the author has included, which I feel will come in handy.

While unapologetically raw, Girl Made Of Glass also feels remarkably uplifting and very freeing. This is my first foray in Shelby Leigh's work and I can't wait to read both her past and future books!

This book is so beautiful! Shelby writes so well about self-love, discovery, and acceptance. Girl Made of Glass is perfect for anyone who finds themselves fixating on the past or their own flaws, and needs to learn how to forgive themselves.

Cover was the first thing that attracted me to this book.Beautifully done . I did like a few of things in this book but mostly i couldn't connect to it. I highly appreciate the way writer has put her feelings into words but may be it was not for me. I believe women in general will enjoy this book.

I applaud the author for baring her soul and sharing so much of herself. This book really didn’t speak to me the way other poetry has, but it’s well-written and courageous.

This poetry book covers topics of mental health and self care. As someone who struggles with their own mental health, the words really hit me hard. It's quite an emotional book and it may not be for everyone but for me I could feel the authors emotions in the words and so many of the passages resonated deeply with me.

It's a powerful read for the right reader.

"i’m still learning that my body / is not the enemy i’ve always / thought it to be."

Girl Made of Glass is a stunning poetry collection covering everything from insecurity to mental health and masterfully weaving them together to reflect and learn from the moments we feel define our pasts.

I adored this collection! I thought it was so well done, and it being the first collection by Shelby Leigh that I've had the pleasure of reading made me want to immediately go pick up her first two. Split into four parts, each really stands strong and I don't feel like there was a weak poem or line out of place! I've read a lot of poetry collections that ebb and flow, but each poem seamlessly blended into the next and tackled the theme of the section well. I think my favorites overall were 'the nightmares' and 'the enchantment.'

I'm excited to read more by this poet! I think her voice is amazing and I can already feel myself excited to explore her older work.

Thank you to NetGalley and Central Avenue Publishing for providing me with a copy for an honest review!
