You NEED to read Lupina. This beautiful sequel to the first Lupina book brings the story to a close in beautiful fashion. Following a young woman raised by wolves, the creative team bring a unique twist to this coming of age revenge tale.

The celestial gods made flesh. A battle to free a kidnapped sister.
This was a beautiful conclusion to the story of Lupa, destruction personified.
The format of graphic novels allows a story to be told in pictures and in words, but even with the two, this was a story told in abbreviation. Years in the span of a page, important characters merely glossed over, the climax of the story built up over two books and concluded in a snap. A story with great promise truncated.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for this arc in exchange for an honest review .

I think last time round I was expecting anything and everything to follow on from the opening book in this series (https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/4120832210) except for it to be a duology. This closing half rounds up the whole suitably, and rather well. I didn't think it excellent at first, but with the fifteen months between reading part one and this chunk a lot was obviously lost. Also, I didn't know then (beyond the obvious hint of the title) that this was all we're going to get, and I feared this becoming a bland, training montage middle/filler volume.

Rest assured, we get a lot more than that, even if something that really needs you to have read the first half first. It's not a challenging fantasy, it's nothing earth-shattering, but it is still a pleasant pastime, engaging with these pages. So once again, on the proviso you have experienced part one, this about justifies the four star rating.

An amazing sequel to the first book. This one gives more background on Lupa and the celestial sisters. It also sheds light on the conflict with the Empress. I love the diversity of the characters, character growth and art work.
