This was a short and sweet story. The illustrations are pretty and the story is easy to follow. It is a perfect bedtime story to try putting your child asleep.

Awesome book for a dog lover.

The illustrations are cute.

It’s a very light read. Not a whole lot of substance but for this type of book it is note needed.

This is a great book for pre k children.

Oh my goodness this was such a sweet story! It was very short but the images were adorable and the message was sweet. I might have liked a bit more of a moral or ending to the story as it felt a bit unfinished. Maybe something along the lines of "lil paw" waking up and giving his family a big hug, or trying out what he was dreaming about. As it stands now the ending felt abrupt and not quite satisfying. Saying this, I still enjoyed it and the images alone would be a reason I might buy this book.

Overall a cute and quick read that I think kids would definitely like and that could encourage them to dream big.

Sweet Dreams, Lil Paw by Bruce Dierking - 4/5

This is beyond a sweet book. A cute story following Lil, a puppy, as she may be the smallest in her family but in her dreams she can be anything she wishes. This was a short read, but the illustartions are adorable and caputres the joy of being a puppy. The feel-good feelings it gives brings a smile to your face and the kids loved reading about all the fun a puppy can have.

Thank you NetGalley and CircleDPublishing LLC for the ARC.

This one made me smile. A cute, feel-good book about dogs, with pretty illustrations. Who doesn't love dogs.

I'm intrigued by the concept behind this book/series-to-be. Author Bruce Dierking's first book in the Power Paws series is a winner. The books in the series are designed to take the reader from puppy-hood, er, childhood, through age 10, focusing on the growth and maturing thought and physical abilities of the reader by showcasing them in the books' characters. There should be much to discuss and think about here as this book sets up the series to come.

The illustrations by Penny Weber are imaginative and fun. We see Lil Paw in action, playing with her siblings, and her dreams are big. She comes from a water dog family, which to be simplistic, is a large pawed, strong breed used for water rescue. Lil Paw is still a pup, however, but aspires to grow up just like her mother, a champion water dog, and father, a champion at rescue.

I'm looking forward to following this story as it evolves. Thanks to #NetGalley and #CircleDPublishing LLC for introducing me to Lil Paw. My Daisy dog sends her some virtual licks.

A cute and very quick read. I liked the illustrations (I mean, who doesn't love cute dogs?!), and it's a great message that you can do anything you want in your dreams! I would have liked to see that translated to Lil Paw's waking hours a little at the end, maybe with some brief additional dialog. But this is ultimately a great bed time read!

This is such a sweet book for bedtime. Lil is a puppy and the smallest in her family, but in her dreams she can swim faster, jump higher, and do all the things the bigger dogs can do. The pictures of the dogs are adorable and it is a very simple, short book. My kids thought it was adorable and loved looking at all the dogs!

Thank you to NetGalley and Circle D Publishing for this sweet ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

Sweet dreams indeed! The watercolor style of illustration as well as the pup's aspirations are childlike and dreamy in an extremely good way. This book would be a great addion to a home, public or school library.
