Lots of twists and turns in this one loved it, was a first read from this author and I wasn't disappointed I will be looking for more from this author...

This book was an absolute page turner for me, I could not put it down. I'm genuinely disappointed in myself for not having posted this review earlier, as I have been done with this book for over a month!
From the very first page you will be hooked, and you will be very intrigued to know why she wants to destroy her husband, and then how.
I love the fact that Cassie is extremely flawed, and just like any woman in her shoes, she would fall apart even if just a little bit, upon finding out that her fiance, who is to be her husband within a month, is not faithful.
I also love the ending, I have read many opinions on this book, that don't exactly like how it ended, but SPOILER ALERT! Sometimes you want the villain to win, because that's a little bit too realistic and maybe you're a little tired if happily ever afters? END OF SPOILER!
I'm very happy I had the chance to read this book, and I definitely recommend it!

Cassie is over the moon as her wedding day approaches, she is marrying her true love Jamie. But with one month to go until the wedding she gets bad news from a colleague at work. Jamie has been cheating on her and she has photo proof showing him kissing another female - his work colleague Tara. Cassie is furious and wants nothing more than to ruin him, bring him down and get justice. Cassie finds out it's not the only thing Jamie has been lying about. The wedding is still going ahead and she has told no one about what she has found out. Everything comes out in the end in a blazing glory.

What I enjoyed:
* Fast paced
* Short Chapters
* Twists and Turns
* Revenge plot

I binge read this one over a few days and absolutely enjoyed it. The whole book had me thinking about what was coming next and the twists and turns had me wanting more. I'm looking forward to seeing what Jess has in store for her next book.

Thank you Kingsley Publishers and Netgalley for a copy of this book for my honest review.

This was a gripping, thrilling and addictive read. There are many twists and turns and it is a story of deceit, revenge and heartbreak.

I highly recommend if you're looking for a book that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Cass and Jamie are the perfect couple, until Cass discovers that Jamie’s dark secret. With their wedding date quickly approaching, Cass sets out to get revenge.

This book was very suspenseful for me. I was rooting for Cass and couldn’t wait to see how she was going to get the revenge she justly deserved. I feel like “juicy” would be the perfect word to describe this book. I wanted to see Jamie pay for what he had done. I also liked Cass and wanted to see her “win.” The suspense of their wedding date quickly approaching and all the wedding planning details was a fun addition to the book.

Thank you to netgalley and Kingsley Publishers for providing me with an arc of this book in exchange for an honest review.

How To Destroy Your Husband by Jess Kitching was one of the best books I have read this year. It was a great page turner, fast paced and with great twists and turners from the start to the end. Cassie the main character was excellent and I would not like to mess with her.

I highly recommend this book. One of the best for 2022.

Big Thank you to Netgalley for my copy to read and review.

I received an arc copy of this book from Net Galley in exchange for my honest opinion of it. I had a hard time getting into this book but I did enjoy it. A month before her wedding, Cassie not only finds out that her fiance is a cheater but has other secrets. She goes out to destroy him. I wasn't too happy with the ending. I guess I was expecting a whole lot more but it was still a good read but a bit long and dragged out some. I would recommend.

First and foremost I want to thank the publisher and Netgalley for sending me this ARC.

What if one picture could change your view on the man you love?

Cassie never wanted to fall in love. After watching her friend time and time again struggle with a broken heart; the last thing she wanted to do is open hers up for love.

That is until she met Jamie.

Jamie is hiding a dark past and a picture literally sends Cassie down an impossible rabbit hole where she will either survive or die.

I read the first book by this author because everyone was freaking out about how great it was. I personally read a lot of thrillers so I found it to be ok/good, maybe my expectations were too high. I felt pretty much the same about this one. I liked it, but it didn’t blow me away. I will still continue to read books from this author, I think her ideas are original and I do love me some original stories. Thank you to Netgalley for my copy!

Okay so, I love a book where the woman wants to get badass revenge on a man that does her wrong. I rushed through the book because it was actually super easy to read, and it's so fascinating to find out what other gross stuff Cassie's fiance Jamie was up to.

What I've learned - men are trash, revenge doesn't always work.

As I said, I love the trope of destroying men BUT it is so overdone now and that makes it really difficult to write an original storyline. I think I just expected more. Cassie goes through so much to get her revenge and then it's not even her that pulls it off? And there doesn't seem to be THAT much negative impact to Jamie when it does happen? Noooooooo!! I wanted her to DEFEAT him lol. I was very invested, but left feeling a little disappointed. I will, however, definitely be reading the second novel because i can't leave an untended cliffhanger.

I was entranced with Cassie’s desire to find the truth from the beginning to end of the book. This was a fast read for me, I was able to finish it while home sick over a couple of days. I would highly recommend!

I was so disappointed with this story because it ended up being just another unmemorable, boring read. The premise and the plot twist were so promising, but the story fell flat for me because there wasn’t enough solid storytelling supporting the premise or the twist.

The ending definitely left me with a raised eyebrow because I’d be a big enough sucker to read a sequel, praying the author gives us a better story with more depth and excitement next time.

Cassie is soon to marry the love of her life Jamie. All is sunny in paradise until her coworker shows her a photo of Jamie kissing another woman. He is cheating on her. As every scorned woman in the history of earth, she plans on brining havoc into his life and delivering the most evil comeuppance to destroy and bring him down. Revenge is a dish best served cold. Let the fun begin!

Have to say it, the title is pretty cool! A manual guide kinda feel. Be ware husbands! 😂

The premises of this one was interesting. I kept reading as I was intrigued to see how Cassie’s revenge plan is going to play out. The author’s storytelling flowed nicely. It keeps you turning the pages and entertained to see what will happen next, how it’s going to unfold and end.

Having said that, this ended up not hitting the mark for me. The pace with this one was a frustrating slow one which was not to my liking which may have been a reason it actually took me quite a longer time than usual to finish this book.

I couldn’t get on board with Cassie and her revenge plan cause if it was me in her shoes, I would simply have just walked away. No man is worth all this especially such a person.

I would have loved to get more insights into Jamie’s psyche. To dig more into why he is the way he is. Not for the sake of empathizing or so, but at least to build him as a character; not ending up having him projected as a one-dimensional character. To me he was vindictive, misogynistic, annoying, revolting, disgusting, liar, scumbag. Yes and that is me holding my tongue. And what’s up with Debbie and her persisting and pressuring?! Felt a bit weird for me.

Not the ending I hoped for as well. I didn’t feel it was needed to end like that; not properly resolved.

Thank you, Netgalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I wanted to love this one and I enjoyed the writing style and some of the characters interactions but honestly the ending ruined it for me.

Oh my, I wonder what this book is about? 🤔

I'm kidding.

Though I admit that I was glad to have a digital arc or I would have been getting side eyed by my husband all weekend and for good reason because I would have done the same had the roles been reversed.

It's another day for a lying, cheating spouse to get their comeuppance!

Cassie is due to be married to her knight in shining armor, Jamie. Jamie, the sweetest, kindest, most thoughtful fiancé a woman could ever ask for.

WRONG!

He's a sniveling little snake and Cassie has decided that rather than to scream, cry, and bemoan the loss of her one true love that what she'd rather do is to exact some revenge.

LET THE GAMES BEGIN!

Jess Kitching sure knows how to grab the attention of her readers. With a title like that and a story like this it's going to become popular in the psych thriller community.

The problem is that this is a story that has been written a thousand times before and because it's a well trodden trope I'm not sure how surprising many people will find this. I certainly wasn't surprised by any of the revelations though I was entertained enough to follow this through to the end. I liked Cassie for the most part though some of her actions could be frustrating. I couldn't have done what she did. I've got a fiery temper so it would take an act of god for me not to curse the jerk out as soon as I found out. Cassie possesses a great deal more patience than I do and sets into motion a plan to destroy. Will she succeed? You'll have to read this to find out.

I'll admit that the final page I found disappointing. I posted a spoiler on my Goodreads review for those that are interested. Oh my, I wonder what this book is about? 🤔

All in all it's a decent book but nothing great or spectacular. I would be willing to try this author again if she can bring something a little more original to the table. 3 stars!

Thank you to NetGalley and Kingsley Publishers for my complimentary copy.

Wow this was excellent! Fast paced, didn't want to put it down. Cassie is not a woman to mess with!

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC. I really disliked How to Destroy Your Husband. It was so hard to get through and I'm left with SO MANY QUESTIONS and I will list them as part of my review.

• How long are they supposed to have been together? Is it the 5 years implied in the first paragraph? It felt very unclear 😬

• Why does Cassie immediately turn to revenge when she sees the picture of Jaime kissing Tara? Shouldn't there have been more questions, more confrontation? How does she even know there's more to it than the 1 kiss or that it's actually what it looks like?

• Why is Debbie pushing SO hard to get Cassie to leave?? She really just comes across as a judgmental busy body.

• Why is Cassie so distraught at the thought of being single again when at the beginning of the book, she made it clear that she had given up on love and was content to be single, before meeting Jamie?

• Why does Cassie vomit so much?!?
Nico could've been better and his involvement and reaction were very childish and Jamie's whiney, incel BS was extremely annoying. The ending was TERRIBLE!!!

This was a great and intense read. Jess Kitching tells a captivating story and I enjoyed every second of this novel.

The blurb reads

"Cassie Edwards swore she’d never fall in love… then she met Jamie. He changed everything, and Cassie’s never been happier.

But with less than one month to go to her wedding, Cassie discovers Jamie is cheating on her with his colleague. Blinded by rage, Cassie makes it her mission to seek revenge on the pair.

When Cassie looks deeper into her fiancé’s life, she soon realises being faithful isn’t the only thing he’s lying about.

As her hunt for the truth takes her to some of the darkest corners of the internet, Cassie learns just how little she knows about the man she shares her life with. It leaves her wondering one thing – is Jamie someone she should destroy, or someone she should fear instead?
How far would you go to destroy your husband?"

Main character Cassie is a great asset to author Jess Kitching, I would love to read more about her as I found her super intriguing. Cassie has finally found the one, her husband to be Jamie. Cassie's colleague unfortunately shows her a photo of Jamie kissing another woman and Cassies' world stops. She contemplates what to do and decides to get revenge on Jamie.

Cassie starts on a path to destroy Jamie but soon learns a lot more interesting facts about her hubbie to be.

This is a great novel and 4.5 stars from me, thanks to Jess Kitching, Netgalley and the publishers for allowing me to have an ARC in exchange for my review.

"Smitten, I dived headfirst into love. That was the problem. That’s where it all went wrong."

Jamie's wife-to-be, Cassie, has found out mere weeks before their wedding that he's been cheating with another teacher at the school he works for. Like any jilted woman, she's heartbroken and pissed. She feeds that rage and starts digging into his private life. The dirty secrets she uncovered were horrendous and repulsive.

Oh, how I loathed Jamie. And, unfortunately, I've known real men like him. I felt for Cassie and I understood her anger. At first, I was sure her coworker Debbie wad playing a sick game. The truth was so much worse.

This story floored me. I was totally invested and could completely relate. A great domestic thriller for women.

Thank you to Netgalley, the publisher and the author Jess Kitching for sending me this ARC. I got it before it was released but couldn't find the time to read it.

I started reading this last week while in a bit of a book rut hoping this would cure me. It did not.

I got to 24% then just skipped to the end after reading other reviews. This book was slow, way too slow for me which is strange because it wasn't a big book. The characters were not engaging and I didn't care for any of them. I skipped to the end just to find out how it ended and couldn't even finish that at 84%. I love that other people enjoyed it but for me it's a no.
