Revenge thriller? Yes, please! This is your classic "I don't get mad; I get even" book. It was a fun, quick read with a simple premise and a (surprisingly) emotional and funny ending. Thanks for the advance review copy; I loved it and highly recommend.

I absolutely adored this book from start to finish. From the very first chapter I was intrigued and couldn’t wait to read about what was coming next.

This was a real page turner, which I read in such a short amount of time as I just couldn’t put it off! Multiple twists throughout the book kept me on my toes, and I absolutely loved the main story line.

One of my favourite thrillers of the year (with a twist I couldn’t actually guess, which is rare!) Can’t wait to see what Jess does next!!

I loved this book!!!

Revenge is definitely a dish that is best served cold. Cassie finds out her soon to be husband is a big cheater & she decides to play the long game to get her revenge.

I hated Jamie (the cheater) and I really enjoyed the anticipation of what was coming next.

4.5 stars - Rounding up for the originality of this domestic suspense thriller

This was such a good book! The story is about Cassie and Jamie, two school teachers who are engaged to be married. No spoilers here. It’s a page-turner!

This was a fast and easy fun book to read—totally entertaining plot with characters that are equally wicked and unpredictable.

We have a strong woman Cassie who lives a contented life with her friends until she meets Jamie in a bar. Soon, they're living together and soon to get married. It's all going well and then one day, her colleague decides to show her a photo of Jamie kissing another woman. Now, she's heartbroken but not ready to break it off. Not yet. She wants to know the real Jamie, the one who lies to her bare-faced and probably leads a double life. But when she finds out the truth, the full version of it, she still isn't prepared for the enormity of it all.

Several tricks and plans and secret meetings later, Cassie thinks she's got the upper hand. And then Jess Kitching drops the final bomb and it's absolutely unpredictable. What a fantastic book. Now, this is what I call a perfect popcorn book. I'm so glad I picked it up over the weekend and gobbled it up within hours. I'll be following this author to make sure I don't miss her upcoming works.

This book started out so promising! Not only was it a page-turner, I also loved the razor-sharp commentary about modern dating, gender roles and romance in the 21st century. The author also explores moral greyness and the chain effect of one's actions, while raising the debate of how far is too far when it comes to revenge.

I liked how Cassie was a flawed, human and relatable protagonist. What she faced and endured in the book filled me with anger, so I couldn't wait to see her turn the tables. No spyware and other unrealistic means that are so common in domestic thrillers, just very achievable and believable ones that made me root all the more for her.

But that's about it. Everything else was problematic and the climax was laughable. My biggest issue with this book is how women are punished for the actions and behaviour of a man. Jamie gets away pretty easily and achieves infamy (and TV gigs! and adoring fans of both genders!) while the females in his life are left to suffer the consequences. His mother Anne is shunned and outcast, while Tara loses her relationship.

There's also a ton of victim-blaming: "She knew what he was like and still went to meet him. Why would she put us at risk like that?" — Nico talking to Cassie about Tara (90%)

Ummmm what?! So a predator forces a kiss on a woman, and it's her fault?! Laney is also blamed by her friends for kissing Jamie despite not knowing he was with Cassie.

Equally infuriating was how Cassie and her friends all get paired up with someone in the end. Seriously? Not every woman needs a partner. I would have loved to see one character be strong, happy and independent without a man. Russell was such an unnecessary addition.

Way to invalidate any feminist vibes in the beginning of the book. What a huge disappointment.

Cassie and Jamie are in love and looking forward to their wedding. But, Cassie is shown a photo of Jamie kissing another woman. Cassie plans revenge to show what Jamie really is. At this stage Cassie has no idea who Jamie really is. A brilliant, clever and gripping plot had me on the edge of my seat. I had no idea how this domestic psychological thriller was going to end.

The book title "How to Destroy Your Husband" caught my attention and boy the story did too! I will be reading more of Jess Kitching for sure.

Hell Hath No Fury Like A Woman Scorned!

I certainly think Jess Kitching channelled these words when writing How To Destroy Your Husband. A brilliant read on the cheating, lying husband to be Jamie and how protagonist Cassie tries to exact her revenge.

But things aren’t always as they seem, and when things quickly go from bad to worse can Cassie regain her dignity and carry out her plan with everyone none the wiser? Or will Jamie get away with his disgusting behaviour and remain the saintly soul his family believe him to be.

How To Destroy Your Husband instantly had me hooked, I loved going down the rabbit hole Jess created, and I was frantically turning the pages to see how the story would unravel. So many secrets, so many lies and so much drama, I loved every word! With a few twists thrown in for good measure I really found it hard to put down.

If revenge thrillers are your thing, look no further, you will devour How To Destroy Your Husband in hours and the ending will leave you gasping!

Thank you to Kingsley Publishers and Netgalley for providing this early reading copy.

Thank you Netgalley for an ARC in exchange of my honest review of this book. If there were more stars allowed the rating would be higher! Oh my this book! Talk about exciting from page #1! This book is from Cassie's point of view. She is cynical about love until she falls for the seemingly perfect Jaimie. All is not as it seems and as the books progresses I can hardly put it down! This book will upset the heck out of you! The tension and excitement keeps building right up to the end. But it really isn't the end...or is it? I highly recommend this book.

*vague spoiler alert*

Wow! Brilliantly written, entirely engrossing and fantastic character development. As a testament to just how well this book is written the ending made me furious! I was so invested in some justice! Superb book.

The title of this book grabbed my attention and I just had to read it! I am so glad that I did because from the very beginning it was beyond captivating and I could not put it down! What would you do if you found out your fiancé was cheating on you? Would you call off the wedding or go through with it? This book had tons of twists and turns! My first read from the author and I cannot wait to read her other book!

Thank you, NetGalley for the ARC of How To Destroy Your Husband in exchange for an honest review.

I am going to struggle to do this book justice.
During my read of this, I was consumed by it. Couldn't put it down, but when I did, I couldnt stop thinking about it and was desperate to get back to it. The pacing of the plot is just insanely fast.
The twists are crazy. I messaged several friends who I knew had finished it, as well as the author. I was SHOOK to my core.
The characters were unbelievably well written, I didn't know who to trust at any point. Cassie was likeable and the emotions were so clearly described, I went through them with her.
Whilst I suspected a little of the ending, the execution was absolutely sublime. I passed the point of no return last night and stayed up until the early hours to finish it.
I couldn't recommend this book any more. Just read it and thank me later!

Thank you NetGalley and Kingsley Publishers for an early copy of How to Destroy Your Husband. The title was incorrect because they are not married. This was a disturbing book to me, very intense and extremely well written but made me feel uneasy. To think you know someone and then have a character that was Jamie, it was pretty sad. I was hoping the things Cassie found out were untrue. I really enjoyed reading this even though I felt uneasy, it was a Great book!!!!

Cassie Edwards swore she’d never fall in love… then she met Jamie. He changed everything, and Cassie’s never been happier. But with less than one month to go to her wedding, Cassie discovers Jamie is cheating on her with his colleague. Blinded by rage, Cassie makes it her mission to seek revenge on the pair.

When Cassie looks deeper into her fiancé’s life, she soon realizes being faithful isn’t the only thing he’s lying about.

This one certainly kept me on the edge of my seat! You couldn't help but cheer Cassie on, even through the end. I also liked her friends, and even Jamie's parents - the characters were very well written.
My only problem with this was...the ending (or part of it, anyway). Not going to spoil, but I wasn't thrilled with how things worked out with the Tara character. There was also a thread alluded to once or twice that never went anywhere. Would have been interesting if that had been followed through.
I'll definitely read more from this author! 3.75 stars, rounded up.

This is my first book by this author and I enjoyed it. Overall a fun, quick read!

What would you do if you were shown a picture of your fiance kissing another woman right before your wedding? "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned". Cassie refused to be a victim and started plotting her revenge. I really hated Jamie and couldn't wait to see him go down. Revenge is a dish best served cold.

I enjoyed this book and looked forward to the revenge being doled out. I would definitely read more from this author!

A big thank you to NetGalley and Kingsley Publishers for allowing me the opportunity to read an advanced copy of this book.

As soon as I saw Jess Kitching was releasing another book, I was so excited. As a fan of The Girl She Was before, I knew I was in for an interesting read. Kitching brought us another suspenseful good read which keeps you turning the pages and excited for some vindictive actions against a well deserving husband. Add to your October reads , you won't be disappointed.

I'm sure that this would be a great fit for some people but I was not a fan of the writing style. I felt irritated right from the start. It's a preference thing.

Wonderful surprise! I’ve never heard of the author before stumbling upon this book, but the title and the cover caught my eye, then the blurb made me really want to read the book, and I’m really glad I did read it, it was phenomenal!
Cassie is a month away from marrying her fiancé Jamie, when her colleague shows a photo of him kissing another woman.
Heartbroken, Cassie swears she’ll punish Jamie, and starts digging. However, she’s not prepared for what she finds…

Fast paced, juicy and thrilling!
Thank you NetGalley, Jess Kitching and the publishers for my review copy!

If you need a revenge book after a bad breakup, this book is for you. Cassie Edwards is young and ready to marry the love of her life, Jamie. He changed her life and she loves everything about him. Then, a co-worker shows her a photograph of what appears to be Jaime kissing a co-worker. That tips Cassie off and she discovers that he is really an online womanizer (who meets the women offline), huge cheater and author of an online cheating handbook. You would think that would make her run, but nope. She's plotting her revenge.

This book didn't work for me, mainly because the charecters were a bit flat and I could not connect with them. Why was Jamie they way he was? Were there any hints? Also, the twists didn't really work for me. And the end got a bit preachy.
