This children's audiobook explains the process of tapping, a mindfulness technique which is geared towards children but can be used by anyone to help ground their thoughts and process emotions. The audiobook is well done and is definitely something that children could follow along to. I would recommend this book to teachers/educators and counsellors who work with young children and would like to introduce this technique or use this resource as one that could be suggested to parents or caregivers. Thanks to Netgalley and the audiobook publisher for giving me the chance to listen to this book!

My 10 year old daughter enjoyed this audiobook and found it both relaxing and inspiring to listen to.

The idea of teaching children how to self-soothe with a tapping technique is wonderful, and this book does a fine job of it, but I gave it only four stars rather than five because there isn't much a story around the teaching of the technique -- just a teacher, Mrs. Gupta, who teaches the students how to tap on their bodies to calm themselves when they're upset.

This book is one in a series, Molly and Omari Learn Yoga... Learn Deep Breathing, etc. I applaud the author's efforts to bring these tools to young children. I just hope that she develops more in-depth fiction to surround the lessons she's imparting.

I was gifted an advance-reader copy of the audiobook version of this book by Netgalley and BooksGoSocial; however, I was disappointed to discover the audiobook was not accompanied by illustrations, only the soundtrack., so I am unable to review the illustrations or layout of the book.

This book is so good on so many levels.
The topics covered in the book are current such as Covid, masks, remote learning, summer vacation and so many others. But the book will be good for years to come because it addresses how to deal with anxiety, anger and fear using tapping - Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). Their teacher shows them how to do EFT and tells them when to do it.
I listened to this as an audiobook. I could not see the pictures as I listened but I thought the pictures would make it all clear. They tell you while you are listening where you should go to see the pictures from the book. I went to them - they are cute but not that informative. I was disappointed. I do not think that I could teach tapping from looking at them. Do you use one finger or all your fingertips. I thought it would also help if the poster and photo from the book showing where to tap were numbered in the order they recommend in the book.
So I rate the book as a 5 star for a cute children's book and a 3 star for teaching tapping with the pictures. I plan to listen again in case the description in the book could help to listen to again,

<3 I really wish books of this genre was part of all curriculums for all children especially in these Pandemic Times. Tapping (EFT) is great for adults and children and is a great self-care tool. This is a great way to introduce this practice in a practical way through storytelling. I highly recommend this book. <3

2.5/5 An interesting introduction to the emotional freedom technique (tapping) aimed at children aged 8+ with illustrations available online to help you try the technique as it is described in the audiobook. I found the narration very robotic and repetitive which I don't think many children would enjoy either but the step by step section describing the eft itself was very easy to follow so I would happily just use that section of the story with my pupils in future!
Thanks to NetGalley.co.uk and BooksGoSocial Audio for the free ARC of this audio book I'm exchange for an honest review.

Today's world is full of disappointments and failures with the increase in competition in all fields. In this environment of career oriented aspirants, one need to be very much ready emotionally and mentally, not just physically.
Here in this book, a teacher had been shown to let her children learn about emotional freedom technique (EFT) which is basically a fun and re-adaptive version of acupressure. To tap the strong emotions so that they overcome weaker sides is all this technique can help in. SEL (social-emotional learning) should be make important part of curriculum to make children and even corporate trainees well-versed in grooming as a civilized stable being.

I am very much impressed with the efforts put in shaping this work. Patricia did a good work on collecting terms to make readers learn it an easy way; whereas laura Lockwood need to work more on narration. Not all books to be read in same manner. However, I felt that content must be needed to not to extend at that length. It should have been completed within 1/2 hour but it was just double; not much as in time but for the topic to cover.
Overall it deserves for me: 4.0/5.0

Thanks to Netgalley for an arc copy of this audiobook for review. As a school counselor, I value stories that teach emotional intelligence and tangible skills (like tapping) that kids can practice as they navigate throughout their lives. One might think learning Emotional Freedom Tapping would be best learned through a visual experience, and while that is the case for some students, this is not the case for all. I’ve encountered many students in the past with visual impairments and visual processing disorders where they learn best through audio formats. Regardless of how you learn best, the author provides visual resources via videos on her website that showcase a tutorial of the tapping techniques. The story also provided real life examples of when a kid would need and benefit from tapping. Overall, I hope this story reaches many kids and their parents.

Molly and Omar are starting school after a pandemic that is still going on. The teacher is teaching them coping mechanism to help with there feelings. This book I can see help many kids going back to school and facing new and scary things. It gives them a tool to put in there mental health box.

The narrator for this audiobook was really good.

The concept of tapping is interesting, and this is a good way to teach it to older kids. I'm not sure of the actual results from tapping, as I haven't done research into it, but for someone who believes in it this could be a good resource for guiding kids.

I'm not sure what the target age for this book is. It seemed to be written at a reading level above the ages of the characters, and I thought it was quite lengthy for what it is.

I can't say I'm on board with including online learning in a children's book, as it was such a fleeting activity and won't apply or be recognizable to most kids in the future. This would have been more appropriate of released while that was going on, but even then, it would be a foreign concept to most future generations. Just my opinion, though!

Prior to reading this I had no idea what tapping was. It was really cool to hear it described by the characters in this book in a way that is accessible to children. I like that they tackled some of the hard current events but kept the overall atmosphere of the book positive. I think this is an excellent resource for parents and children to connect over ways to reduce their anxiety in difficult circumstances.

This is a wonderful book, which my daughter and I both loved. The book is about a boy called Omari and a girl called Molly, who learn how to do tapping after their school teacher Mrs Gupta show them how to do it. They learn that they can tap on parts of their bodies, in order to help release strong emotions, such as anger, sadness, guilt, shyness, anxiety etc. This is a great tool, which can help children worldwide, and so, this is an important book to get out into the world at this time. It would be a great book to have in all homes, schools, nurseries and libraries.

The audiobook narrator was fantastic and she had a really lovely, soothing and calming voice.

This is an amazing book, which is excellent and highly recommended.

This book is the second of a series of twelve books, of which the first book: Molly and Omari Learn Yoga is also available. I am really excited to read the third book when it comes out!

Many thanks to the author, narrator, publisher and NetGalley for a copy of this book.

Covers many different important lessons besides EFT
I love seeing EFT being addressed at a young reader level. With the increase in anxiety related issues in children since the pandemic this is such a fabulous tool to help introduce young kids to for their mental-emotional wellbeing.
The explanation was well explained as part of the story.
Other important aspects incorporated into the story are:
1. Multiculturalism- a good mix of different cultures, traditional clothing, traditions ( like yoga & reiki ) and names.
2. Complicated concepts associated with stress related appropriately. Kids understanding “fight or flight” at a young age along with being able to recognize how it feels in the body is huge.
3. Being exposed to traditional Chinese Medicine and concepts of meridians and acupressure.
4. Vocabulary words that are challenging and also teaching children body awareness.
5. Website with visuals for audiobook readers or just practice.
6. Pandemic and associated challenges of masks and various school adjustments addressed.
7. Discussions of fears and anxiety in a safe and open environment. The more talking about feelings becomes seen as normal, the easier it will be for kids to feel heard and valued.
As an acupuncturist, I find EFT an excellent tool to teach clients for self care. This book is a great resource for young clients and something parents can share with their kids as well.

Thank you NetGalley and BooksGoSocial Audio for accepting my request to audibly read and review Molly and Omari Learn Tapping.

Author: Patricia Brogdon
Published: 09/13/22
Narrator: Laura Lockwood
Genre: Children's Fiction -- Health, Mind & Body

Tapping is Emotional Freedom Technique. The teacher in the story explains to her young class that they can bring their stress down by tapping on different parts of their body while saying aloud a phrase. She encourages the tapping when parents argue, they get scared, etc.

During the audiobook after the teacher demonstrates the tapping, audible readers are directed to a website for each demonstration. While I understand this is for young children, the repetitive nature was grating on my nerves. This went on for what seemed 5 minutes. The teacher spoke, the kids repeated, the listener was advised of the website. It was a continuous loop. Definite nervosing trigger warning.

There are benefits to the tapping, and the child is encouraged not to give up. Some problems may need to be tapped several times.

With the book, parental patience and guidance, this is a clever tool.

The narrator had a smoothing yet teacher voice, and I couldn't imagine anyone better.

I do find this giftable.
