This was a super steamy romance and I loved it.

I really enjoyed the progression of the relationship between Cass and Aiden. It was interesting to see the contrast between their current time and their interactions online.

Of course I loved Sophie too. Forever love a precocious child character. It was sweet to see Sophie warm up to Cass.

This one was very very steamy. So just be aware of that when reading.

Overall enjoyable and really liked.

This book is a trip in so many ways. The characters are awesome. Funny, vulnerable, a tad crazy, delightful. Cassie and Aiden together are on fire.

The sexual tension in this one of off the hook. Their connection is smoking hot and Aiden is a dirty-talking dreamboat. Ferguson does not hold back and we get all of the benefits! One thing I could do without is the end-of-story drama that always shows up so there can be the happily ever after… ugh.

But as in all chick lit romances, we get what we are looking for and The Nanny gives us so much to love! Ferguson will make her mark as a contemporary romance author with this funny, sexy, steaming hot addition to the book world you do not want to miss!

The Nanny is a debut romance novel and so I wasn't sure what to expect. There was a lot to love about Lana Furgeson's first book. 

THE WRITING
This was a debut novel, and I was impressed with the writing. It didn't feel clunky like some debuts do. There was never a time where pacing was off, or things fell apart with the writing. I loved the characters and was sucked into the story from beginning to end. I'm also going to add here in big capital letters DON'T LET THE COVER FOOL YOU ON THIS ONE. IT IS STEAMY AND IF YOU CAN'T HANDLE WIDE OPEN DOOR SCENES, THIS BOOK IS NOT FOR YOU. There, I warned you. Kudos to Berkley Books for going outside the closed door/women's fiction mold and publishing a romance novel with some steamy scenes. 

THE PLOT
Was fantastic! A college student struggling to get by who takes a nanny position only to realize her new boss used to be her favorite OnlyFans customer was a unique, highly entertaining, and just the right amount of awkward. I loved the way snippets from their times when they didn't truly know each other were included and how thing unfolded from Cassie taking the job to them figuring out the connection. There was also some great action around Aiden's daughter and both of their parts in her life. 

THE MAIN CHARACTERS
I loved Cassie from the start. She was just a really fun character. I loved her sense of humor, how she interacted with Sophie, her relationship with her BFF Wanda, and how she built up Aiden. Aiden was also a great guy. He loved his daughter so much and I enjoyed the way he figured out a balance between single dad and chef. We got both of their POVS, which was great. I probably would have been fine with just Cassie in this case, but having Aiden's brought the romance up a notch in my opinion.

THE ROMANCE
HOT. Yeah, the way these two met when they didn't know who each other were only added to the steam. Cassie and Aiden had chemistry that couldn't be denied. Their chemistry wouldn't have been as hot as it was without the emotional connection between them. They brought something to the other's life that was needed and were a great support for each other emotionally. 

THE SIDEKICKS
I used sidekicks instead of side characters because Wanda was more of a sidekick for Cassier than just another character. Their age gap friendship was so fun and perfect. I loved the advice and crap Wanda dealed out to Cassie. It was funny and poignant. There was also Sophie, Aiden's, daughter who made many special moments. Oh, and I loved to hate Iris at times.

OVERALL
This was such a fun read for me. There wasn't anything I didn't love. I probably could have used a little resolution with Cassie and her parents, but they weren't really involved in the story and were more just a mention. I was just curious about them but didn't really need anything. I loved Cassie and Aiden's romance. I can't wait to read what Ferguson writes next!

Broke PT student Cassie decides to accept a nanny position with an astronomical salary instead of going back to her OnlyFans channel. The hot dad who hires her is an overworked chef–who just happens to be the number one fan who ghosted her a few years ago. She recognizes Aiden before he figures out who she is (she was masked in their interactions and is careful to keep an identifying scar under wraps around him, even after they embark on a completely inappropriate relationship that they have to keep hidden from his feisty and adorable pre-teen daughter and her suspicious aunt).

The narrative moves back and forth in point of view from Cassie and Aiden, and includes private messaging from the OnlyFans relationship. While there is some great banter, awkwardness that makes things real, and good pacing, I couldn’t quite suspend my disbelief either when Aiden can’t make pancakes, or when he asks for more time with his family and the owner of his restaurant says yes and doesn’t dock his pay when Aiden offers to take a cut for less hours of work.

Overall, this was more of an erotic fiction novel than a romance. While I appreciated the sex positive vibe, I found a reference to being STD-free as being “clean” to be old fashioned and judgemental, and consent unclear in one scene. Truthfully, the employer/employee relationship dynamic is squicky, and so is a fully adult, established male hooking up with a young, broke, student–too much power imbalance.

I gave up on this when I got to the pancake scene. I used to work in high end restaurants, and there is just no universe in which a competent executive chef cannot make pancakes.

Definitely a fun, spicy read. While the plot was fairly obvious, the sex scenes were fun and compelling and the characters were likable. . Would definitely recommend it to the right reader!

I can't remember which author or writer raved about The Nanny but I'm so glad they did; it's because of their enthusiasm that I decided to check it out and I'm so glad I did. On the surface it's exactly what you think it is: hot nanny + hot single dad = explosive chemistry and eventual hook up. It was so much that and so much more, though. It's the story of Cassie, a student who desperately needs money to finish her last year of school. She's smart and independent and absolutely wonderful with her new charge, Sophie. It's also the story of Aiden, a chef who has newly acquired full custody of his daughter--a daughter who spent the first ten years of her life spending very few days with her dad--and who's trying really hard to be a good dad while not screwing up his career. He's juggling it all and feels like he's dropping all of the balls, until Cassie arrives and helps keep all of the balls in the air.


It's also the story of vulnerability. Aiden feels really insecure in his ability to parent and needs someone who can not only bolster his spirits as he tries but also kicks him in the butt when he's letting his insecurity get in the way of what he should be doing. Meanwhile, Cassie has some insecurities of her own, thanks to her horrible parents and the humiliation of being stood up by someone she'd grown to feel for...who turns out to be Aiden (see the blurb, I promise I'm not spoiling things).



Between Cassie's secret, Sophie's aunt who seems to know exactly when to cause problems, and Aiden and Cassie's chemistry, I did not stand a chance. I inhaled The Nanny in hours and was completely satisfied with all aspects--the plot, the building angst, the injection of humor at the most ideal moments...it all just worked and I didn't want it to end and am now looking forward to what Lana Ferguson writes next.

Every time that I picked this up to read it, I had the theme song for the TV show <i>The Nanny</i> in my head! My thoughts on the actual book are that it reads like a debut, but I enjoyed it for the most part.

First of all, this was so much steamer than I was anticipating for a traditionally published romance. I’m not mad about it! I’m just super surprised. So, if you’re going into this looking at the cute cover and thinking it’s going to be fade to black then you will be in for a shock!

I liked our characters for the most part and enjoyed their growth and reading about them finding their footing in their relationship, past and present.

Where my rating dropped down was for the predictable way some of the conflict was handled. You can already tell how most of the book is going to go, but I just didn’t want to be right about it.

All in all, this book is still worth a read, and it left me pleasantly surprised.

I enjoyed this debut from Lana Ferguson. It was a great combo of tension, angst, heat, and humor that I found to be really fun. And did I mention the heat? If you're a reader who finds that trad pub romance isn't usually high-heat enough for you, I definitely recommend checking this one out. Because THE NANNY is a HOT book. Like when you open the oven and steam unexpectedly hits you in the face and you're like AHH! and have to take a step back hot, but like in the very best way.

I absolutely loved reading this book. I was completely drawn into the topic and could not stop reading it.

This one didn't quite hit the mark for me. I definitely think there's an audience for it, but maybe just not me. The premise was definitely a fun one and it absolutely does justice to a lot of fan-favorite tropes. There was also great chemistry between the leads. Mostly, I found myself wishing for a more emotional connection between the leads instead of just a physical one. I was also hoping for a more confident main character in Cassie, especially since she had a history of being on OnlyFans.

This book just kept going in circles! The author needs to learn a new word for cock!! There was a happy ending though, so yay!

If you're looking for a "forbidden" romance with a lot of spice, this one will be right up your alley. Nanny x single dad. Former cam girl and he watched her. They fall for each other.

I liked this one, but I didn't love it. The writing was good, the plot was good. I think it was a me thing, personally. I'd definitely read more from this author in the future!

I loved this book. It was so good. I loved the banter, the relationship between Aiden and Cassie was so effortless. Cassie really loved Sophie. There wasn't a lot of drama between them. The drama was in the form of the daughter's aunt Iris. I would recommend this book, 5 stars!

I am so so so glad I picked up The Nanny while on vacation this week! I haven’t flown through a romance like that in a while - a nanny/single dad trope - but with a twist. He was previously her biggest only fans subscriber 😱

This book has all the 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ and an amazing plot too. I loved both Aiden & Cassie … and Aidan’s sassy 9 year old was one of my favorite characters - not to mention Cassie’s best friend, septuagenerian Wanda.

The humor in The Nanny infused with some serious topics & lots of spicy moments made this one of my favorite books as of late. I can’t say enough about how much you all need to read this one in April 2023 when it releases!

If your unsure about whether you are into romantic comedy novels, this is a great read to convince you that you definitely are. It was fun, absolutely hilarious, and heartwarming. But it was also extremely steamy. In the best ways of course. Every piece of the book came together and created an amazing story that I will absolutely be reading again and again.

It takes a lot for a novel to actually have me laughing out loud. And not only did this book do that, but it had me doing it a lot. Cassie was a great lead and also a very complex character who had a lot going on. I found her easy to relate to in many ways. I loved that Aiden wasn’t a typical or predictable character and how genuine he was. And then there was his daughter Sophie, Aiden’s daughter and Cassie’s charge. She was such a great character and I actually found myself enjoying her scenes and keeping my focus when she was on the page instead of becoming a little distracted as I usually do when kids are involved. So it was a nice and unexpected change for me.

Lana was able to keep the momentum going throughout the entire book and it certainly kept me hooked. She is definitely going to be an author that I keep my eye on because I can’t truly express just how incredible this book was. And it’s definitely another that’s getting added to the list of books that I will certainly be reading again.

i'm literally so obsessed with this book*. okay cassie is a college student in desperate need of money and it seems like the universe is on her side when she gets a job as a nanny to a hot single dad (aiden) EXCEPT she soon discovers that her new employer was a verrrry loyal customer of her now deleted onlyfans account. she recognizes him but he has no clue who she really is. so now she's stuck between telling him who she really is and trying stop the feelings developing between the two of them.

This book exceeded my expectations!

I was a little skeptical coming into this book knowing that it would be about a nanny falling in love with the child's father. I was immediately assuaged learning that the nanny, Cassie Evans, isn't a vulnerable and helpless young girl, but instead is a highly intelligent woman in her mid 20s looking for a job that can hold her over until she's done with school.

I was also pleased that Aiden wasn't a typical sleazy, too-old dad that didn't care about his kid until the nanny showed up. Aiden loves his daughter deeply but is just unable to care for her 24/7 with his demanding chef job.

The romance isn't insta-love but more of a slow burn. Their chemistry is wild, and I love how well they compliment one another! I would absolutely recommend this book to any romance lover out there.

I’m really struggling with reviewing this one. There are things I enjoyed and others I really didn’t care for. First of all, I really love the title, cover, and synopsis for the story. All three of those things are what made me jump to read this one. This story has the single dad trope which is one I usually enjoy. Sadly, this story was way too insta-love. That instantly turns me off in a story but sometimes the writing/characters can save it but not this time. I found the characters to be fine, not special or unique in any way. Honestly, they all felt a little generic. While the synopsis sounded good, I feel like the plot took a back seat to all of the smut. I’m not someone who minds smut in romances but I do still want a plot. Overall, I found this one to be just okay and almost even DNF at certain points. I do think the majority will love this one so I would still recommend it.
