This is a great twist on falling for the nanny. Cassie is looking for some work after being let go from a health care role, and Aiden really needs some help with his challenging nine year old as a newly single parent. Only problem is that these two aren't as unacquainted as they believe.

It is a heartwarming story about getting out of your own way and your own head to do what's best for the people you love - sticking around. There is a nice twist on when the miscommunication causes an issue trope but the ending is exceptionally satisfying and you're rooting for Sophie, Aiden, and Cassie.

Beyond the spice though, is a book with a lot of heart. I loved the relationships in this book! Aiden is a single parent chef who struggles to be the best parent he can be to smart and sassy nine year old Sophie. When he hires Cassie to be her nanny, neither of them realize they actually know each other- and quite intimately at that! Throw in the fact that Cassie’s best friend is a woman in her seventies that is a total spitfire (seriously Wanda is my fave and needs her own book!), and you’ve got a seriously fun read! Highly recommend this book, as long as you don’t mind an open door, or no door really- like just in the middle of the kitchen 😂

This was a fun read that had me hooked immediately! From the banter to the spice, this is perfect for anyone looking for a swoony, fast-paced read.

I loved Aiden and Cassie’s relationship. They had some of the best witty banter, and I was giggling over the pair from their first interaction. Their chemistry was undeniable, and it was so fun watching their relationship unfold from both of their perspectives.

Sophie deserves a special shout out as well, because I absolutely adored her and the bond she made with Cassie. She was adorably funny and I am not exaggerating when I say I would protect her with my life.

The only thing that kept it from being a 5🌟 read was because of how much lack of communication there was at times, but that didn’t take away from how truly fun this book was.

With a cast of characters you can’t help but fall in love with, and plenty of swoon and spice, this was a delightful romance debut, and I cannot wait for read more from this author.

This book is a trip in so many ways. The characters are awesome. Funny, vulnerable, a tad crazy, delightful. Cassie and Aiden together are on fire.
The sexual tension in this one of off the hook. Their connection is smoking hot and Aiden is a dirty talking dreamboat. Ferguson does not hold back and we get all of the benefits! One thing I could do without is the end-of-story drama that always shows up so there can be the happily ever after… ugh.
But as in all chick lit romances, we get what we are looking for and The Nanny gives us so much to love! Ferguson will make her mark as a contemporary romance author with this funny, sexy, steaming hot addition to the book world you do not want to miss!

A few months back I saw a bunch of trusted book/reading friends posting about a book by debut author, Lana Ferguson. They were all talking about The Nanny and how amazing it was. I new immediately that I needed to add it to my forever long TBR list and I’m so happy I did. The Nanny was really fun and spicy and the main couple had oodles of chemistry so it made reading a breeze.

The Nanny is about newly unemployed, close to eviction, Cassie Evans. Cassie needs a job and she needs it fast or she will have to reopen her long dormant OnlyFans account. She really doesn’t want to go back to OnlyFans, for reasons, but she is getting desperate. But when all hope seems lost she seems an ad for a live-in Nanny position which could be the answer to her prayers. That is until she meets Aiden, the most gorgeous man she has laid eyes on, and finds out she would be living with him and his daughter. With her options at an all time low Cassie decides to throw caution to the wind and moves in with this handsome stranger. However, Aiden isn’t as much a stranger as Cassie thinks, he was once a subscriber to her OnlyFans account. Suddenly her living situation has gotten a whole lot more complicated.

One of the things I loved the most about The Nanny was Aiden and Cassie’s relationship. Their chemistry was there from the starts and continued through the story. Aiden was the most adorable chef that was trying to be the best single dad, to his 9 going on 17 year old daughter Sophie (who I loved), he could be, while working a full time job. When Cassie was entered into the mix he couldn’t help but fall for her even without knowing she was the girl of his fantasies. It was really a solid relationship between the two of them and I loved every minute of it.

The Nanny is definitely a spicy book but it is also just fun and sweet. You can’t help but fall head over heels for all of these characters and get yourself wrapped up in their lives. By the end of the book you are routing for them to become one happy family. This debut is one that you want to have on your TBR. I definitely recommend it.

I wish I could read this book again for the first time because it was just so good. Aiden was such a dirty talking cinnamon roll I loved it. I also appreciated how he was trying to do his best for his daughter and how Aiden and Cassie handled her working for him. Cassie was the best nanny and I loved how she got Sophie to open up to her. I hope we get to see more from this world but regardless I’m excited for Lana’s next book!

The Nanny was one of my most anticipated reads of 2023... but it unfortunately fell flat for me. As an avid Romance reader, I crave the perfect balance of spice and personal moments that lead to the spice and I felt like this just had too much spice without much substance. Not to exaggerate but I'm pretty sure they slept together nearly every chapter after they got together, and without protection too (which is weird given that Aiden had his daughter by accident). And not going to lie, some of the dirty talk felt cheesy to me.

While I applaud the author for promoting sex positivity with having an MC who used to have an OnlyFans account, it was odd that the only possible job she could find was being a nanny given that she's also an Occupational Therapist. It felt like there were so many other opportunities and while it did push the plot along, it just didn't feel believable. And one of my biggest issues with this book is how it fell into the nanny trope trap: when the child being taken care of finds out the nanny and the dad are dating, the two always break up, and this was the case with The Nanny as well. And yes, this is a conflict that is common with a lot of Romance novels but given that there is a child involved, I can't even imagine how traumatizing it is to lose someone you've become attached to without even a goodbye, and since Cassie is an OT, she should be more sensitive to kids' feelings so the way they handled this was just so off.

And beyond the sexy bits, Aiden and Cassie were just so awkward with each other (like literally they're both awkward people who can't have a 3 minute conversation without being awkward) and it felt like beyond their bed scenes, they just didn't have any chemistry. Their interactions started off well enough but as the book passed, they just felt more and more forced so it was disappointing to see all that progress halt and wither.

The Nanny should've been the perfect book for me, on paper it ticked off all my boxes and the premise was so interesting, but it just didn't deliver.

The Nanny by new to me author Lana Ferguson, is a sexy read with a lot of heart. The two main characters have amazing chemistry and the author does a great job of creating longing and desire.

This story is nicely written and the characters are well-defined. I formed an immediate connection with both Cassie and Aiden, and their sexy times were very steamy. Aiden's daughter Sophie is a real cutie, and I loved the way the author created the new family dynamic. Overall, this is an entertaining novel that should be added to your TBR list.

This was a great Age gap, Nanny/Single Dad romance. The sexual tension between the the two MC was hot without all the sexy times. But once they got started I was waiting for my kindle to catch fire.

The secondary characters, Sophie and Wanda were absolutely amazing. Honestly I love Wanda so much! 🤣

A solid read, I definitely recommend if you’re looking for something steamy!

This was quite the debut novel. I can definitely say that the only reason I know it's this author's first published title because it's mentioned at the end. From the pacing, the dialogue, the writing and the characters, you'd never know this was a debut novel.

Cassie and Aiden meet online. And then things happen and they lose that connection. By a total fluke she ends up applying and being hired as a nanny for Aiden's daughter Sophie. And, well things go as you'd think from that point.

The story is a little predictable, but as you know there's going to be a happy ending, it's predictable in the way all romance trends to be. Nothing to be done differently there unless authors start killing off the main characters...and let's not do that.

I loved all of the characters. The sex is hot but it's also used very well as a way to move the story and the emotional connection between Cassie and Aiden.

This book just worked well. There were moments when I was frustrated with and for them, but they acted as people would in a similar situation.

While I hate spoilers, I also really appreciated how sex positive this was. While their previous camgirl and subscriber relationship isn't immediately known to them, when it is, there no shame, blame or guilt associated with either of their parts in that. It's also handled with maturity. I was waiting for this to be the reason the characters split up...and i can say at least part of my 5 star review is for how this was handled.

I can tell I'm invested in the book when the end, the inevitable moment where you question if they do work it out, gets me in the heart. This one did.

I enjoyed and recommend this title.

It's been a minute since I've picked up a book, started reading it, and then found myself thinking about it even when I wasn't reading it, wondering how soon I could get BACK to reading it again. Enter The Nanny, Lana Ferguson's contemporary romance review with an irresistible premise that delivers. Those who have been bemoaning the somewhat tamer state of this subgenre lately will be delighted to know that this book is packed to the brim (maybe even overflowing) with steam, especially when things physically ramp up between Cassie and Aiden, but also explores the emotional intricacy that comes with forging a new type of family. Bonus points for making the conflict stem from something other than a withheld secret, as well as a very endearing child character in Sophie! Quite frankly, this book has Awakened Something in me in terms of reintroducing me to the appeal of the nanny/single dad trope, so I'll be looking for everything in a similar vein that I can devour after reading this winning, sexy debut.

I went into this book completely blind and I was not expecting the cute little cover to be so steamy and filthy. When Lana Fergusons gives her readers a flashback of their previous encounters, Aiden did not hold back on the dirty talk. But I guess that’s expected when you’re chatting on OnlyFans. It was spicy spicy spicy!
The author exceled at creating characters who feel real and who you want to root for. I wanted Cassie and Aiden to succeed. Their relationship felt organic from the start, even though it began a little awkwardly. Cassie is probably my favorite character. She has a personality that one would love, she’s gentle and so sweet that she can break down any wall someone may have up.

Although, I did enjoy the book, I did wish would’ve been a little shorter with a little less chapters of just them getting it on. But I still highly recommend The Nanny to anyone who enjoys a modern day romance that feature forced proximity, plenty of heat, heart and laughs

This book has some 🥵 scenes. I loved the relationship between Cassie and Sophie. I also loved how it portrayed Aiden as a single dad.

I picked this book up because it had such an interesting premise. And overall, it really wasn't too bad of a read. However, the part that you think is the source of the conflict between the main characters ends up being almost inconsequential, and something completely different ends up causing the kost strife.

One thing I don't particularly care about is miscommunication and this mistaken path of martyrdom that occurs with FMC. Just talk to your boyfriend! Don't make such big decisions unilaterally. I get that it's for plot purposes, but man, was it frustrating to read.

Solid book, though. I enjoyed reading it.

Whew, don’t let this cute romance cover fool you, this novel brings the steam and it was spicy in the best way!! 🔥 I loved the romance story behind this one and the main couple certainly came together in an unique way. I liked that Aiden was a single dad who was learning to navigate parenting his daughter and working full time. His interactions with Cassie were great and he was such a caring, sexy love interest! Based on what I’ve learned from my amazing friend @allinwitha, I believe Aiden would be described to give off stern brunch daddy vibes and I have to say, I was here for it!! 🥵Cassie was really sweet and so resilient with what she had experienced in her life. Her friendship with Wanda was one of my favorite parts of this book, along with the special relationship she forges with Sophie. This novel really did have a great balance of steam and romance and the characters were able to work through their issues in mature ways which was appreciated. This one had the forced proximity, age-gap, and second chance love tropes and they all worked so well with bringing readers that HEA we needed!

I liked this book! There was a secret identity aspect, a single dad (love!), and some fun pining which I couldn't get enough of.

I wasn't sure how I was going to feel with the MMC being an Only Fans regular, but it wasn't too much of a hindrance for me. Aiden was kind and cared so much for his daughter and had some cute blushy moments which I'm always a fan of. And the way the OnlyFans thing worked out didn't feel all that odd.

There were some repetitive parts to this book which brought down my interest in reading it. For one, there was a lot of sex. So much so that it felt more like a plot point than anything else. I know it was supposed to be a part of things, but the couple almost never had dates to heart to hearts because they were always having sex. I needed more substance to their relationship. Two, a lot of Cassie's thoughts were repetitive. We kept hearing the same fears and desires, etc. I just needed more.

I didn't feel like there were many side characters to this book which was a bit strange. The three that were here (Cassie's BFF Wanda, Aiden's daughter Sophie, and Sophie's aunt Iris) were well written so at least there's that. Still, we got one little moment with one of Cassie's classmates and then never saw her again. It kinda seemed like she was brought into the book as a plot device for one particular scene and then tossed aside when not needed anymore.

Overall, I did like this book. The end got very emotional and Sophie was the sweetest 10 year old so I knew I couldn't let my negative thoughts on the book outweigh the good.

I’m not just saying that for the fun of it either. He really is a hot daddy. Aiden Reid literally checks off every box. Sexy daddy? Check. Knows how to cook? Check. Gives out praise like candy? Check. Filthy mouth? CHECK CHECK. This man is everything I needed and more.

And Cassie? She’s so relatable and funny. For real, this girl gives 20 Snapple facts a day, just because. She’s obsessed with Snapple tea and I’m obsessed with her freaking humor. She’s strong and stands up for herself. HELLO QUEEN.

I wasn’t able to tell that this was Lana’s first published book. It was amazing! She read like (or even better) than the popular contemporary romance authors we have today. I will be picking up every one of her future books as well!

Let’s talk spice. OH MY HOLY MOLEY IT WAS DELICIOUS (and I’m not just saying that bc daddy Aiden is a chef). Once the spice picked up, Lana did not stop! Aiden is a masterpiece in the bedroom (or wherever really🤪). Need tips on how to pleasure a lady? Take notes from Mr. Aiden Reid.

I could write forever about how much I loved Aiden, oops I mean this book, but I’ll stop here and just tell you that you’ll miss out if you don’t IMMEDIATELY PICK THIS BOOK UP.

If you were drawn to this book due to the OnlyFans plotline, you might be disappointed like I was. It wasn't a huge chunk of the book. In fact, you could remove that plotline and it wouldn't change much.

The spice is good! I loved reading a story where there is a single dad trying his best to provide for his daughter, while falling in love with the nanny. PLUS he's a chef ;) ooh la la

This was ultimately a cute, smutty, quick-read that leaves you feeling good inside.

Cassie becomes a nanny for Aiden’s, a single hot dad, 9-year-old daughter. Cassie needs the money to support herself while she’s in grad school. Soon Cassie realizes he’s her top fan on her OnlyFans account.

As I mentioned there’s a lot of spice! It’s also filled with some sweet moments especially the relationship with Aiden and his daughter. There’s also a seventy something woman named Wanda who is entertaining and made me laugh out loud a few times throughout the book. I thought the OnlyFans detail was unique and had me intrigued, and the chemistry between Aiden and Cassie was off the charts. If you love the single dad and age gap tropes, then you need to check this one out!
