this book was unfortunately a disappointment. I LOVED the first book but this one came nowhere close to that. I'm not sure that I'll finish this series. bummer!

I was really excited to read the preview of the second book in this series. The story picks back up where it left off in the previous book. I was worried i wouldn't enjoy the preview because it was only 3 chapters. But wow! I'm intrigued to know more and see where the second installment goes.

This preview already starts strong and sucks you back into the world of KBB immediatly. It honestly makes me hungry, for the book and... other things. Did you like this preview as well? Then what are you doing reading this preview? Go read the real thing. ;)

So excited to get back into Isolde and Adrian’s story! This little glimpse into the book makes me so excited to continue the story.

This has been one of my most anticipated reads of 2022 and I this preview did nothing but add to my excitement. I need to know why things that transpired at the end of the first one happened. I need Adrian and Isolde to be happy. I need them to get revenge. I can't wait to finish this book.

With just a sneak peak into this book, it is intriguing and will make you rush to get it. The cover is absolutely beautiful.

I logged into NetGalley and was very lucky to get a preview of this book! I could not contain my excitement so I dropped everything to read the first couple of chapters and loved them. I am eagerly awaiting the release of this book even more now that I have gotten a taste.

The Preview section was alright, but I read the entire book and I was overall disappointed. Adrian and Isolde became insufferable, and I think too many of the backstories involved r-pe. I loved the first book and I'm sad at how badly this one let me down.

This is great series so far, really excited to see where the author is going to take out. This book has great morally great characters with interesting plot twists. Which makes it an interesting easy read and definitely a book to take you out of a reading slump.

The first few chapters of Queen of Myth and Monsters look good. It makes me want to know more about how Isolde has coped with her father's death and how she will continue to grow and develop in the rest of the book.

I can't say that I hate it but I definitely don't like it. It's an adult fantasy... and while I expected smutty scenes, I think the writer just overdone it. Really there are
smutty scenes in every other chapter and honestly that's too much, I got really sick of it. I know your husband is a really hot vampire king but there's people that are dying. I loved the story tho, but the smutty scenes traumatized me so much that I gotta heal before reading the other books of the series.

This book is paranormal meets fantasy in my mind. It's paranormal because of the vampires, but it has an epic fantasy feel to it, at least in the part of the book that I got to read through the sneak peek. I feel very left in the dark about what's going on from the brief glimpse I got of this story. i don't feel like I really know what's going on at all. I actually get the feeling that I was reading a sneak peek for a sequel, and I didn't read the first book. (Grabbing links and info for this blog post confirmed that for me. So if you've read the first book, the odds of the beginning of this just being a rehash of the previous book are pretty low.)

All that said, I am intrigued and I want to know more. What I got to see of the world building seemed pretty solid and while I'm struggling to see a romantic connection at the moment, I see the potential for it to be there. And I just really want to have a better understanding of how this world operates. This is a book I will definitely be on the lookout for.

Holy moly these first three chapters have me hooked, I absolutely cannot wait to read the full novel!!!

I only got to read the first few chapters, but it’s written really well. I usually do not enjoy reading explicit scenes because authors usually don’t balance it with the plot appropriately. However, the author managed to do so. I also admire how the author gave us subtle recaps from the previous book.

After reading the first 3 chapters of the sequel to ‘King of Blood and Battle’ I was very intrigued. The story continues right where it left off with battles and blood, and chapter 1 right out of the gate has smut. It is not a slow start which I enjoy, and the characters are all reintroduced quickly. What I am worried about with the rest of the story is that it might be a copy and paste of the last book. I’d love to see some more backstory behind Adrian and his previous lover, and also what’s so important about magic. Great start to the story.

I fell in love with Adrian and Isolde in King of Battle and Blood. I was so excited to finally get my hands on Queen of Myth and Monsters. This preview helped me get even more excited than I already was for this story! Can't wait to read the rest of the book! Scarlett is an absolute queen, and I love everything she's released!

This was a great taste to what to expect in the second installment in the Adrian and Isolde series. Adrian and Isolde's love story in this paranormal universe continues in these short chapters that continue right where the King of Battle and Blood. I am highly anticipating reading the rest of their story.
