Thank you to NetGalley for providing me with a copy of this preview.

I really enjoyed the first book in the series, King of Battle and Blood, and I read it back when it was first released and haven't re-read it. This ended up being a slight problem while I was reading this preview. I wish there was more background information given to set up the story again because I forgot certain names, events, and details. In all, it may be necessary to re-read Book 1 before diving into this.

Thank you to Bloom Books and Netgalley for providing me with this Preview in exchange for an honest review.

I feel weird giving a star rating but I guess 4/5 stars.

I have been waiting for this book since I finished the first one last year and even just getting a 3 chapter preview was so exciting. This picks up either right after the first or not very long after it and was super fun in the first 3 chapters. There was spice, romance, and action in a very short amount of time and I can just tell the rest of the book is going to be chaos in the best way. I can’t wait to read the full book and I hopefully will share a full review of the book after or before release depending on when I get to read it.

thank you so much netgalley for this first three capter! This second book starts immediately in the middle of the action, right where we left the last Pages in KOBAB (the first book). This story it’s magnificent and i will come back very soon to Adrian and Isolde !

First of all, thank you netgalley for this preview ARC in exchange of an honest review!
So! I read King of Battle and Blood one year ago and i really enjoyed it. It was a mindblowing read! Anyway, I was (and still I am) So exciting for this upcoming release! I'd missed Adrian and Isolde so much.
So, what I can tall you about these three chapters...
Le'ts consider that the book starts immediately in the middle of the action, right where we left it in KOBAB (the first book), with everything that happened in the last pages. This story had really conquered me the other year, not only for the romance - that I loved-, but also for war and conquest plot. I can't tell you so much about these first three chapters, except that you will quickly come back to love our two protagonists!

Preview Summary:
A sneak peek of the highly anticipated sequel to King of Blood and Battle. After their recent coronation Isolde and Adrian find themselves defending their land and thrones from goddesses, traitors, monsters. Isolde is determined to wipe out the threats and reclaim her mother’s homeland. Adrian will stop at nothing to protect his kingdom and his Queen.

What I Liked:
- Isolde is a strong, intelligent female protagonist who follows her instincts.
- It’s already a compelling, sexy, fierce read.
- The atmosphere and world of this series is spectacularly written. The map is a fantastic addition.

What Could Have Been Improved:
- A few more details from the last book in order to remember previous events.

Pre-Order now friends! This is going to be just as compelling and adventurous as the first!

While I definitely need to reread the first before Queen of Myth and Monsters, I'm so excited.

Scarlett is starting the book strong, bringing us back to Isolde and Adrian little time after the end of King of Battle and Blood. Isolde is coming to terms with all that happened and trying to assert herself as queen, enact her plans, and figure out the truth from centuries ago.

Their enemies are still a threat and Adrian and Isolde must be wary of everyone...even those closest to them.

I'm looking forward to the full book to see what Isolde becomes...

I have not read any vampiric novels since high school (7 years ago) until reading a preview of this book, and now I'm running to go read the first book in this series. I've read a couple other books written by Scarlett St Clair, and while they were good, they did not stand out to me as much as others. But just by reading this 3 chapter preview, I'm already hooked.

I cant believe that was just the preview. You really have a way of hooking people right off the bat.
Cant wait to get my hands on it and than get the paperback and stand it right now to King !

Such a great read! Thanks for the preview! I have already read several other books from this author so I was curious about this one and was not disappointed. It left me eager to read more. I will be looking for this book when it drops.

Thanks to NetGalley and the Publisher for the ARC.

I love Scarlett St. Clair and it has felt like the longest wait for the next installment of Adrian x Isolde. These three chapters have everything I love about these characters - feisty dialogue, steamy scenes, and a storyline that will keep me hooked!
I'll be over here re-reading King of Battle and Blood to refresh my memory ahead of this release in December!

Immediately hooked by the first three chapters of Scarlett St Clair's newest book! I will be anxiously awaiting reading the rest, especially after the cliffhanger we were left with!

Things I already love about this book even though I’ve only read the first three chapters because Net Galley rules, and it’s available in the Read Now section so… I’m not saying run to get them, but I sure did.

1. The Content Warning in the very beginning of the book, which includes several phone numbers to reach to if you need them. Absolutely love that idea, and I think more authors should implement it - especially in books dealing with TWs as severe as these ones.

2. This ✨energy✨ because, really, what else can you ask for?

“I am thinking about how I will fashion a throne from Ravena’s bones.”
The corners of Adrian’s lips curled, and he learned closer, his breath on my lips as he spoke. “If that is your wish, I shall build it myself.”

3. The fact that three chapters have done nothing apart from making me want to re-read the entire first book (again) and devour this one the second it’s out!

I know there’s some people who hate these little teasers. But I love them. They make me so excited for what’s to come next year. Definitely one of my most anticipated reads for 2023!

As a huge fan of Scarlett St. Clair, I flew through A King of Battle and Blood. I received a 3 chapter preview of Queen of Myth and Monsters and oh. my. GOSH. I am BEYOND EXCITED for this book. The first chapter is *chef’s kiss* and starts off strong and spicy 🌶️ 🥵 I can’t even begin to imagine how much better it will be once I get the rest of the book!! I loved Isolde from the moment I first met her in the first book of the series. She’s strong, independent, and really represents everything a queen should be. She is loyal to those that are loyal to her, almost to a fault. I want to know more about Revekka, Isolde’s past, and Ravena. I also hope Isolde can find some peace about who she was before and find a way to merge who she was with who she’s been. I can’t wait for this one 😮‍💨

This preview has got me so excited for the next book in the Adrian x Isolde series! We get some steam in the first chapter, action in the third and Isolde being the badass queen we knew she could be. Bring on December!!

AHHHH I cannot wait for the full book to be released! This sounds soooo good, I'm seriously not ready for this book to destroy me.

I loved the Hades and Persephone series by Scarlett St. Clair first, I'm getting behind on her backlist now but this book sounds so good already. I can't wait for it to come out and hopefully motivate me to finish reading her complete backlist.

I cannot wait for this book to be released! I knew reading this three chapter preview was going to make the wait until release date challenging but I couldn’t help myself. I love Scarlett and her world too much!

This picked up shortly after KOBB and immediately sucked me back in. I was happy to see Adrian and Isolde more settled in their relationship and I cannot wait to see how they work together now that she isn’t fighting her desire for him.

Is it December yet? I am counting down the days to this release.

Such a perfect teaser! I’ve been dying to get back into Revekka and see how Isolde begins to reconcile her two lives, as well as how she grows into her role as queen. Isolde is strong, fearless, and passionate as ever—flying into battle for her people without a second thought. I love that she is the kind of leader to be in the thick of the fight to protect her subjects. Plus Adrian and Isolde’s love (and spice) is just as tender and hot as ever. Their relationship is such a fantastic give and take that I can’t wait for more of. Finally, the little cliffhanger this left me on has me reeling and counting down the seconds to QOMM’s full release.

Love how book 2 of the series started off! It was just the right amount of recapping embedded within spice and action! Can’t wait to read the rest of the story!

This preview only made me crave this book more. I knew I would be hooked from the start, as I was with King of Battle and Blood.
