REMEMBER ME by TRACIE PETERSON is an historical romance novel that takes place in Seattle at the time of the Alaska-Yukom-Pacific Exposition
in 1909. The story is exciting, the characters and their struggles are well portrayed, and there is a strong Christian message of redemption, forgiveness of sins and restoration on which it is based.
We see how Adeline Bryant escapes her abusive brothers in Dawson City and ends up with the godly Fisher family in Seattle, in charge of the Camera Girls, taking family photos and selling Brownie cameras at the Exposition. She not only comes across Isaac Fisher , to whom she was engaged before her brothers sold her to a brothel owner in Dawson City, but also the dreaded brothers…….
The story is realistically brutal in parts and we get a good idea of what the pioneers went through on the Oregan Trail. In contrast we see the goodness of God who can bring good out of all things.
I found Remember Me interesting and inspirational and cannot recommend it highly enough to anyone who enjoys this genre.
I was given a free copy of the book by NetGalley from Bethany House Publishers. The opinions in this review are completely my own.

Addie, the main character in this story faces a lot of challenges as a young woman during the days when America is settled. She grows up in an abusive home and is sold for profit by her own brothers. At a surprising turn of events, Addie is free to leave and make her own way in the world as a rich young woman. She outruns the bad memories and reputation, but she can’t outrun her brothers. The love of her life is reunited with her and forgiveness is the theme of this book.
I thoroughly enjoyed this plot, it is unlike any other book I have ever read. Tracie Peterson did it again with a unique set of events. She also weaves faith and an unwavering gospel message into Addie’s plight.

This book is suitable for teenage readers and is light in the romance. I was given a copy in exchange for this review.

The author brings to life the lifestyle that many people lived with in the gold rush days. It is sad and poignant all at once. It is a sure reminder that God cares for all the details of our lives and works all things for good and fHis glory.

This shows how a girl overcame obstacles to get better after her two brothers beat her up. It has really good faith content and it just tells a good story overall. This book was approved by netgalley and the publisher for me to read and review it.

This book was sent to me electronically by Netgalley for review. Thanks to the publisher and one of my favorite, of all times, authors. I love her books. This is a sweet, yet at times frightening, book of historical fiction. Family and friends…the enemy is there also…the main character has two brothers who are horrible. She tries to start over and they show up. Love and romance…secrets…red herrings…enjoy this delightful story written by a talented and gifted author.
