I absolutely loved this book! The story felt unique and I loved every twist, turn and trope. I adored each of the parents and the strong roles they played throughout the book, and while I didn’t necessarily agree with some of the actions/choices of certain characters, each of these choices developed the story in such an interesting way!

This one is not a favorite at all. I don't know what it was about it but not the same as previous books that I rated higher.

I was very happy to be approved to read this book via NetGalley and as usual, this wonderful writing duo didn't disappoint. I enjoyed the story and hearing from many different perspectives throughout the book. As someone who holds a grudge BIG TIME I don't know that I'd have been able to forgive Amy & Troy for what they did but for the purposes of the book I'm really glad June did! I think all 4 parents characters really added a lot of depth to the story and it wasn't just a book told via the engaged couples perspectives. Olivia & Zach are truly adorable and however corny their reuniting was, it was perfect for them. I would recommend this book!

Absolutely crazy love story that will keep you laughing. Sometimes it is a very small world. June is taken back when her daughter goes to Italy on a graduation from college trip and meets someone and falls in love. When the meeting of the parents a brunch doesn’t go as planned, Junes history comes to light and everyone is surprised just how small the world is. Her daughter is engaged to her ex fiancé and ex best friends son Zack. How will this turn out for everyone.

I loved this book! It was very funny, heartwarming, heartfelt and poignant at times. Two friends who had a major falling out are forced to interact when their adult children get engaged. I really enjoyed this book!

I enjoyed the characters being a wide range of ages, but I especially appreciate that the focus was equally on the middle aged characters. I know there are readers who will enjoy this family driven dramedy and I will be recommending it.

I really enjoyed reading this book! I have to admit, it started off a bit slow in the beginning but once it picked up, I really liked it.

I was so excited to receive a digital ARC for Forever Hold Your Peace, and it definitely lived up to the anticipation!

Olivia and Zach meet and fall in love while each on a solo vacation in Italy. When they realize they live only 30 minutes apart in California, they think it must be fate. Their love leads to a whirlwind engagement, and when they go home they need to take the important step of meeting each other’s family and friends. One major complication here- their moms have some hidden messy history and haven’t spoken in decades. Can their parents get along so they can move forward in wedded bliss?

The story is told via multiple points of view. We hear from all of the parents, Olivia and Zach, and even Olivia’s sister. The multiple POVs help us to understand the motivation behind each character’s actions and definitely add to the story. This story was emotional, funny, heartwarming, and so so entertaining. It is filled with pop culture references, like a section devoted to an Instagram post by Kaia Gerber that had me laughing! There is a theme of forgiveness, and it makes you think about what you would be willing to forgive and forget to move forward in your own life.

Started this book and finished in a few days, not a stranger to these two authors, so was excited to learn they have a new book out. I usually read the summary before starting the story but did not this time, and so glad I didn't. The story starts out about two grown kids who meet each other on a trip abroad, only to realize they live within 20 minutes of each other back in CA. The two fall in love, and he proposes to her. She excitedly calls her mother about the news at 3 pm California time over video, which is a hilarious image of meeting her future son-in-law for the first time, as well as how well it described she was looking a mess having just awoken to the news. The story gets even more hilarious as there is a secret that gets revealed partially in, and both sets of parents are opposed to the idea that these two have met just a few weeks in their trip and are getting engaged. The story certainly takes you on a journey with wedding planning, and momzillas in the mix. I really enjoyed the story and liked the characters very much. This will take your mind off stress as you remember the feeling of first love.

A nice enough diversionary reading experience, but unless you have a lot of time for reading I wouldn't put this one on the top of my pile.

Ex best friends thrown together as their kids have the fall in love and wedding whirlwind. Resentments from the past are pushed into the now as we move back and forth between now and almost 30 years ago. None of the characters could really get into my head and I was pretty ambivalent about the outcome for all of them.

Gosh- this one ticked so many boxes for me, the reader: There was romance, a bit of mystery, some comedy, some chick-lit/rom-com vibes, all wrapped tightly in a very quick-moving, "character-study" type read. The book explores the history of a couple, where one mistake led to a painful family secret. I really loved the manner in which Fenton and Steinke structured this story. There wasn't a real sense of place to this book, it was more "a sense of the way the characters all relate" that gave this story its center.

Imagine if your daughter was marrying a stranger that she met on vacation? How would you react? Try to break them up or be supportive? But what if this stranger isn't quite so unknown after all? This is the delicious premise explored in this fun, funny and heartwarming novel from Steinke and Fenton. I've read all of their novels, and this is one of their best.

I'm a big fan of Liz and Lisa so I was so excited to read this! And it didn't disappoint. Fun and cute, romantic and heartwarming, it's a story of love, family, and how complicated things can get as soon as a wedding comes into the picture. I can *totally* see this as a movie!!

If this story has not been a movie, it should be…or a television series…what will happen next with these families? This talented author has written a cannot put down novel. The characters come alive on the pages of this book. The setting is delightful. The shenanigans of the characters are not to be believed…friends and family…love and romance.. Curl up and enjoy an afternoon with this quick fun read. This book was sent to me electronically for review by Netgalley. Thanks to them, the publisher, and the author…I liked this book…

Liz and Lisa are finally back with a new fun rom-com! It has been awhile as the last couple of books have been thrillers. This was such a great book.

A young couple meets in Italy, of course the parents think it is way too soon to get married as they are extremely young and it was a summer romance. When the families get together to meet for what they think is the first time, it turns out that each mom used to be BFF's in college until one fateful night of betrayal.

This is a book of love, life and forgiveness.

I absolutely adored this book and was so happy my favorite writing duo was back!

This is a super cute, romantic and touching read by these wonderful authors. The writing style is engaging and warm and the plot is unique. I was quickly taken in by all the characters and despite finishing it last week, the book has stuck with me.

Forever hold your peace is an enjoyable faster paced read and I truly did enjoy it. You can tell both authors compliment and favor each other wonderfully with how lovely this book flowed

This author duo never disappoints! This was a fun book that was easy to read, but also had alot of substance and depth to the plot. I enjoyed the characters, the funny parts, and the drama in the book.

These 2 women have a great thing going with their books, and I can’t wait to see what’s yet to come. I would definitely recommend this book to other readers. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC.

Forever Hold Your Peace is a really fun rom com that was very easy to devour in one sitting.
It's the first book I've read by Liz Fenton and Lisa Steinke and I'd be keen to read more.

This was an enjoyable read. It’s a romantic comedy book with an unusual twist. Like all romcoms, it all works out in the end, but the ride is bumpy. It was a fast read, and I really liked it.
