I’ve always been interested in the Tarot, but never knew where to start. This is a wonderful beginner book that explains everything from how to choose a deck to the meanings of the cards. Great for the curious minded.

I have read a few books on tarot and this one was by far the most helpful. The author simply and clearly explains the tarot cards and how they can be used. She then takes each card and gives a brief explanation of it and how it can be interpreted. The end is filled with great spreads to try out to begin reading cards. This is a great book for a beginner to tarot.

Tarot for Beginners is an introductory guide book for absolute beginners. It is a starting point for anyone wanting to learn about Tarot cards. There are lots of diagrams and pictures and the style is simple and easy to follow. Each of the cards in the major and minor arcana are detailed and explained, and lots of different spreads and when to use them are included. A good starter book that will ground you in the basics.

Exactly as the title suggests, this is a guide for beginners to tarot. I found this very accessible and illuminating, with an easy-to-follow layout and diagrams and examples featuring heavily, which further aided in my comprehension.

A brief overview for what tarot is and the history of it was provided before a guidance on how to chose and cleanse a new deck. I found this of interest but as I already own my own tarot deck this wasn't the information I had come for. The next section contained an intimate understanding for each card in the major and then minor arcana, complete with illustrations and activities for each. I found this highly interesting and took many notes. The last section contained spreads for different goals, such as daily insights, decreasing blockages, or finding love. I, again, found myself taking many notes meaning this has been a highly informative guide for this beginner tarot reader.
