Nice and twisty when it comes to clues for this one! From a rescue mission after a plane crash, to a massive series of twists at the end, this one sure kept me flipping pages. Part of it's survival while getting away from the plane crash, with the woods full of bad guys, and then things switch to a whole other sort of survival once they get back to civilization and have just a few days to unravel a crime tangle that's been many years in the making. Good guys and bad guys alike can't be trusted to keep to their respective sides--and how does this all tie in to Kelly's last job as an undercover officer in Chicago?

Definitely kept me guessing and I'll someday go back and reread to see how many clues I missed by assuming good guys were good.

Wilderness Hunt is written by Lisa Phillips. I just love stories about K-9 and their partners. Officer Kelly Wayne and her K-9, Nico are tracking a plane carrying a federal witness crashes in the Montana backwoods. She finds Ethan Harrigan injured with amnesia. She has to get him to safety before the bad guys close in and take them all out The author did such an amazing job in keeping you on the edge of your seat. Thank you to the author, publisher and NetGalley for allowing me to read a copy of this book - all thoughts are my own.

A search and rescue mission turns into a race for survival.

On a search for a downed plane carrying a federal witness Officer Kelly Wayne and her dog, Nicco, come across an injured man in the woods. He has no recollection of who he is or what is going on, but who Kelly believes ruined her career years ago.

A fast paced read with a intriguing premise and riveting plot. This was a quick read for me because I didn't want to put it down, I loved the tension between the characters, as well as the layers to their situation. I really admired Ethan for turning to the faith that felt familiar to him, and thinking about the reality of their relationship.

A wonderful read from beginning to end, full of suspense faith and romance. It kept me on my toes up to the end, and their was great character growth and interaction throughout. Definitely worth the read!

Wilderness Hunt by Lisa Phillips is part of the K-9 Search and Rescue series from Love Inspired Suspense.

Secrets abound in this amnesia story. Not just as Ethan recovered his memories, but as Kelly works the investigation. They don't know who to trust as the story heads toward an exciting conclusion.

I enjoyed the characters; they were easy to root for. And I liked how Ethan’s real personality unfolds throughout the course of the story. Then there was Nico, the K-9. She was awesome!

If you enjoy romantic suspense with a search and rescue K-9, give this one a try!

Not my kind of book. At all.

I didn’t read anywhere in the synopsis or otherwise that this was a religious thriller (if that’s even a genre?) and I failed to note the cover. Not sure why this is labeled “inspirational”—just say Christian. No need to be vague. Really did not appreciate the “God did this” and “God made this happen” because—no, “he” didn’t. Circumstances dictated the events—it’s called cause and effect. I never would’ve picked this up if I knew religion was present and that God was for some reason used as an excuse for totally normal and practical events happening.

The writing was subpar and really difficult to untangle at times. It was awkward, and I often couldn’t tell who “he” was—Ethan? Brett? The chief? Her dad? One of the many O’Callaghans? Neither could I tell who “she” was—either Kelly or Nico, because there weren’t very many other female characters. The lack of differentiation was confusing and irritating.

Kelly and Ethan’s relationship was barely that of acquaintances, and they didn’t spend all that much time together, but for some reason they seemed to believe there was a “deep connection” and confessed their love by the end. I didn’t feel any romance or chemistry between them, not least because most of their feelings were told to us rather than shown.

The plot was a simple one, and yet the way it unfolded was unnecessarily complex and hard to follow. This book took me almost a month to read because I was just straight up bored for a lot of it. Not to mention by the end, I was pretty fed-up with the police’s total incompetence in handling the case. Aside from Kelly, all anyone did was get shot/injured or turn out to be a mole.

Wilderness Hunt by Lisa Phillips was filled with mystery and romance that are unpredictable until the last page. It will grip readers long past when they should put the book down. Recommended to readers of contemporary mysteries

The author did a great job of keeping me guessing and trying to figure out who was a good guy or a bad guy.

When a plane carrying a federal witness crashes in the Montana backwoods, Officer Kelly Wayne and her K-9, Nico, track it down—and discover Ethan Harrigan injured with amnesia. Now with the mafia on their trail, Kelly must protect the man she thinks ruined her career. But nothing’s as it seems, and trusting the wrong person could get them all killed.

Kelly doesn't know who to trust. She certainly can't trust Ethan as he betrayed her. But she's on a mission to protect him. Ethan doesn't remember who he is. As he has flashbacks into his memory, he doesn't remember things as they have been told to him. Kelly and Ethan have to put all that aside as they try to stay alive. They have been betrayed on all sides.

If you enjoy a good mystery, you'll enjoy this. All is not as it seems.

I received this book from Love Inspired Suspense via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I was not compensated in any.

Really enjoyed this one. There was plenty going on to keep me hooked till the very end. I enjoyed the characters and how this book was clean. There are plenty of moments that mention faith which is sometimes a put off for me but it wasn't too bad I think. I enjoyed following along as they figure out how to keep Nico safe while he has that amnesia going on. This was just such a fun read and recommend any suspense book lovers out there to check this book out.

Wilderness Hunt is a hold-your-breath romantic suspense book! Don't relax. There is something else just about to happen. The book is filled with action and mystery. The main characters are very likeable. The dialogue and internal monologue of each is well done and seems natural for the situation. The plot idea is exciting and carried out to perfection. The plot has twists and turns and then a few more twists. I enjoyed the faith aspect of the book. It's woven seamlessly into the story. I highly recommend this well-written book by Lisa Phillips..

Excellent K-9 and Search & Rescue Romance!!

A plane crash, a twin situation, and a forest full of “bad guys”. Officer Kelly and her K-9 Nico must protect a witness and unravel who can be trusted. Memory loss adds to the confusion.

Kelly and Ethan can only trust each other and the delightful Nico. My first read from this author and I really enjoyed the style, the pace of action and the character. Labeled as “Inspirational”, which I found to be tastefully done, as an addition to the story not a distraction.

really enjoyed all the suspense as well as the action that keeps the reader on their toes. Even though I've said it before their not my type of romance to read since their clean romance . But over all the author does an amazing job of pulling you into her story , and settring it up so you don't want to put it .

This is a Christian, clean, suspense romance that keeps the reader wondering who are the good guys and who are the bad ones.
Officer Kelly Wayne had her career almost destroyed by her former undercover partner while working in Chicago.
Moving to where her father lives, she is now an officer with Nico, her K-9 partner. When a plane crashes with a witness under the protection of the Feds, she finds Ethan Harrington with amnesia. She believes he’s the man that ruined her career. But is he?
As the danger intensifies, in which the Mafia is after them, more questions than answers pile up. As does the attraction between Ethan and Kelly.
This is an action packed story that keeps the reader on their toes.

Teamed with her K-9 Nico she finds herself on hunt for plane crash survivors and finds more danger than she bargained for. I received an arc from NetGalley and this is my honest opinion.

Kelly and her K-9 Nicco are searching for a downed plane that has an undercover witness and the person she thought she new and found appears to have no memory. Once they start working together everything in Kelly’s life is not as it seems and she is crushed by the people she trusted most in her life.

Lots of action packed into this mystery/romantic suspense. I enjoyed the story line and this author.

Wild Police Chase
This book is a serious police chase/manhunt thriller. The plot has many twists and turns which make it a wild ride. I found there to be too many convenient happenings, clues, and whatnot. Most of it was pretty unbelievable in a superhero sort of way. It was just too busy with twists and characters who were not what they seemed. There is an element of faith involved, but not overly so. It was not as good as it could have been, but it was ok.

Ethan and Kelly......well, they're just amazing together! I enjoyed their story.
Lots of twists and turns that made me keep turning the pages. I wasn't one bit disappointed! I finished this read in a couple of hours it was so good!
Many inspirational messages to help Ethan and Kelly through their case.
Yes in a few places there are some nail biting scenes that will make your heart beat a little faster but it's all worth it!
Nico is the best though. He's my true hero!
I really loved him. He was great!
5 stars for a job well done! I highly recommend!
