Photos look to be done without any sort of nice production value. It's brief and to the point.

While it's nice that someone took the effort to lay this out and package it up, it's also content that can easily be found and followed for free on the internet to make your own nice cream.

I had the privilege to read this book off of netgalley for my honest review. This is a short and fun book. This book teaches children about the history of nice cream, what it is, and how to make the ice cream.
I recommend adults and child read this book if they are interested in health food.

this book is an introduction to nice cream, which is apparently the vegan version of ice cream, the history, how it's made, the maker machine, and the fact and science behind it. there's a step-by-step tutorial on how to make it but little readers still need an adult's help to do it. there's glossary for unfamiliar words and future reading references related to nice cream.

This is a lovely little book that introduces kids to a healthier version of ice cream that will also hit some educational bases in terms of touching on science! While the 'frozen banana as ice cream' hack has been known in certain health/nutrition/diet circles for some time, this is the first time I have seen it for kids, and that it comes at it from a science rather than a health or diet culture seems like a smart move in terms of not promoting a diet culture for our kids. All in all this is a great idea, and Im hoping a way I can get my children a little bit more interested in food prep and science!

My thanks to NetGalley, author and publisher for the opportunity to review this book in exchange for an advance copy.

Let's Make Nice Cream is an accessible and well written guide to "nice cream" which is a banana based frozen treat without the added sugars and artificial ingredients in most ice cream. Released 25th Aug 2022 by Norwood House Press, it's 32 pages and is available in hardcover and paperback format.

Author Mari Bolte has written a fun series of activity books slanted toward young readers with food related DIY activities. This particular volume includes step by step illustrated instructions start to finish, for producing tasty Nice Cream along with a variety of toppings and serving suggestions. All steps are clearly photographed with specific and complete tools and ingredients lists. The writing is simple and understandable with specific steps to follow for a successful outcome. She squeezes in an impressive amount of chemistry and background info without being condescending at all. The vibe of the entire series is upbeat, excited, and cool.

Five stars. This would be a superlative choice for public or school library acquisition, home use, activity/makers' groups, or gift giving.

Disclosure: I received an ARC at no cost from the author/publisher for review purposes.

This is another easy to follow book kids will enjoy adding to their collection. It gives science details about how the freezing process works. It would benefit from some suggestions for add in flavours.

All the dang stars in the universe!
I’m no child and have an incredibly huge sweet tooth that I have been working on curbing. Ice cream is my biggest vice. Discovering new ice creams with less sugar and less fat has been a must-do for a hot minute. Enter this book being made available to read now by NetGalley and Norwood House Press. Thank you so much for this option. I am excited to try this new way and cut my sugar out, tend to my sweet tooth and feed my creativity. Now, I must buy bananas!!!! Love this!
