This is such a cute book. I love the grumpy guy neighbor bit! Samantha Chase has quickly become one of my go to authors!

I mean you have a grumpy hero who HATES the holiday and sunshine heroine who LOVES them. What’s not to love? I’ve always loved the authors writing style but this especially surprised me. I was giggling, laughing and felt emotional at times. I loved how they both ended being each others support systems while slowly working thru things they went thru.

Thanks NetGalley for the book!

Another great book by Samantha Chase. The two main characters are Tessa and Liam. Tessa is the music teacher and a widow. Liam just retired from the military and owns a construction company. The first time they meet, Liam lives next doors to Tessa, they are opposites. She is cheerful and loves the holidays and Liam is grumpy and likes to boss. There is a mutual attraction. They each have issues but together they work them out and fall in love.

In this second book in the series, serious and driven Liam moves in next door to happy and optimistic Tessa. Immediately they get on each others nerves. When their reluctant friendship seems to turn into something more, neither is sure if the other feels the same way.
Opinion
I'm a big Samantha Chase fan. She knows how to write a good, small town series that will keep me running back for the rest of the series. This book is a great addition to this series that focuses on the Donovan clan. What is best about this book is the enemies to lovers, opposites attract troupe. No two people could be more dissimilar than these two yet Chase finds a way to make their relationship work.
This book is a great vacation read or for one of those long stormy nights when all you want to do is curl up with a good book.
Many thanks to Net Galley and to Chasing Romance Inc for providing me with an ARC of this book.

An enemies to lovers book that has Liam Donovan coming home after 12 years in the Marines and he realizes that everyone has moved on but him, he still wants to be the one who tells his siblings what choices to make and what they should do when they have all grown up while he was gone. Now stuck in a new home he is having to deal with a neighbor who is all about Christmas and the decorations can not stay in her own yard which is also dring him nuts. Tessa his neighbor is getting over the death of her husband and there is a story behind that, but she talks to him every day still it is like she has not moved on totally only just one part of her life. As the two begin to spend more time together they are each falling for the other one yet each one is scared and like in all books the is a blowup but this one is big because Liam is big and a Marine, so you must read this to see what happens. the author does an excellent job with the storyline and all of the characters. A very good book.

Samantha Chase is a go-to author for me. It was a no-brainer to read this book. the other books in the series were wonderful. I really wanted to love this story but I just couldn't like the main character Liam Donovan.

Liam moves home after a stint in the marines. He buys a house in an established neighborhood. His neighbor is a cheerful woman who loves outdoor decorations. Tessa is a young widowed elementary music teacher beloved by the town.

From the start of the book, Liam and Tessa battle. The journey from the first battle to the HEA was just too much for me. I wanted to like the characters, but this was a hard book to finish for me.

Liam is back in town after a decade in the military and purchased a house next to Tessa. While Liam come across as grumpy, Tessa is overly cheerful who enjoy being happy and making others happy. They have nothing in common but become friend with benefits. Liam is the oldest among 4 siblings and have been away all these while. Being back in town, he need to adapt that he no longer has control over his siblings. He need to reconnect with his family. Tessa loves to smile laugh and sing, is a widow who lost her best friend few years back. Yet she still allocates certain hour in the day to solely talk to him. Her family is worried for her but to her, she is back on track. She need  to learn to find a way to live without him.
This book is enemies to lovers and holiday romance that filled with emotion. I love how Liam and Tessa learned about themselves and each other. Liam is a kind and loving person despite his crankiness. I like the way he brings Tessa out from her delusions and indirectly bringing her back to reality. Overall it is heartwarming read to me.

Tessa and Liam are the exact opposite in every way. Liam is the stoic, by the book, soldier who just cant seem to let his rigid side go. He is rough and gruff and Tessa brings out the softer side of him. She is sweet, bubbly, open and honest. Everything Liam is not. Somehow they find a way to each other and make it work and this book is worth taking the time to read and reread!

Tempt me by Samantha Chase

Liam has just retired from the army and bought a house in his home town and is settling back into civilian life. He discovers that his new neighbour Tessa is the little miss sunshine he met a few months earlier at a wedding and had clashed with as he was too grumpy.

A typical seasonal hallmark opposites attracts romantic novel. A well written seasonal read 3.5/5

I wanted to read this because I read one of her books, and absolutely fell in love. I’ve read several of her books since, and while a few of them have seemed like they were written by someone else, I enjoyed this one. Can’t wait for more.

Samantha Chase does it again! This was a book I could not put down. I love getting to follow along with Liam and Tessa’s story. When they say opposites attracts, they are talking about Liam and Tessa. They had quite the ride to their happy ever after but it’s a Donovan story you do not want to miss. I can’t wait for Ryleigh’s book!

Enemies to lovers with neighbours to friends with benefits in between.
A cute hallmark channel style romcom. He’s a grump and she’s all sunshine. So there is plenty of clashing between the two that leads to the chemistry but this is not a tale that stands out in my mind, just a filler type read to keep me entertained, something light and easy with a HEA

I really struggled with this book -- both Tessa and Liam were pretty unbearable. Tessa seemed to constantly allow others to influence her and she seemed a little hypocritical, particularly when she expected Liam to admit his feelings when she hadn't been willing to admit her own.

The side characters in this story were also a little off-putting. Liam's mother fat-shamed her daughter several times and seemed to constantly pick on her. One of Liam's brothers was incredibly aggressive and mean to Liam in a manner that seemed overly past what the author was intending.

I don't often DNF, but this one was a close call. I pushed through, but I found the ending a little irritating. Liam did a grand gesture to apologize, but I think Tessa should also have apologized. They were both in the wrong. All in all, a fine romance, but I think the characters needed work.

Tempt Me is the third novel in Samantha Chase’s The Donovans series. Eldest son of five children, Liam Donovan has recently returned to Laurel Bay from his Marine career. Laurel Bay is home, has been home to the Donovans for generations. Liam has planned a future forming a company with his former comrade in arms, Will Jameson, to create a fishing resort. Their business is off the ground, Liam is home with his big family, and is now the owner of his own home. There’s just one thing!
And it’s a giant ghost migrating into his front yard! Liam’s new next door neighbor is the happiest person around, elementary music teacher Tessa Sullivan. Tessa does things big, especially holidays! Her yard is a Halloween nightmare for Liam, who just wants a nice quiet place to withdraw after a hectic day. Not this week!
But when Tessa invites Liam over to meet the neighbors at an after trick or treat front lawn party, he learns more of her and her backstory and becomes intrigued. Tessa is a very young widow with a tragic albeit unusual history. Her very best friend Trevor was taken by an inoperable brain tumor. But up until the end they lived life to the fullest together, including fulfilling his bucket list item of getting married. While Tessa loved Trevor very much, they were never in love and the marriage was very unconventional. That, however, does not lessen her grief and loss. Tessa is living in a place of remembrance and grief, yet she is sunshine and rainbows everywhere she goes.
After weeks of enjoying each other’s company, Tessa and Liam have also become an unconventional pair that will lead the reader on a very different path. Ms. Chase creates such endearing characters and places them in unexpected plots. Again, she does not disappoint her readers with this charming story. I very much enjoyed this book and I do recommend it!

Another great read from Samantha Chase! I love this series and love, love, love Liam Donovan!

Just months after meeting at a wedding, Liam and Tessa become unexpected neighbors. The serious and grumpy Liam doesn't quite understand his often-cheerful neighbor and her love for all things holiday decor. Tessa is still managing the loss of her husband and Liam is managing re-entry into civilian life.

They agree to become friends and that leads to a "practice" relationship since Tessa has never really dated.

Of course feelings change, become stronger and ultimately lead to some unnecessary drama.

This is a quick read, doesn't have to be read in the order of the Donovan series, and is a must-read if you're a fan of happily ever afters.

Since I thought I had already read some books from Samantha Chase, I requested the arc. Turned out, I confused her with Samantha Wilde. But no worries: this Samantha also writes wonderful stories.

Tessa is an over-the-top cheery girl, with a high Disney touch and feel. (I think we could definitely be friends). And Liam is just like grumpy from Snowhite to stay in Disney analogies) The story is funny and cute and will keep you reading. So, four out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.

A grumpy/sunshine enemies-to-lovers romance between Chase and Tessa who are next-door-neighbors.
Chase is adapting to civilian life after 10 years in the military. Tessa looks for the bright side of things after her past.
They were part of the same bridal party and sparks flew just not the sexy kind.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book received from the publisher via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Tessa was overly cheerfull, super happy kind person. Opposite from Liam the grumpy one. Everything Tessa do make Liam roll his eye, Tessa tired from all negatif respon from Liam.

They past encounter make Tessa dosnt want to involve with Liam again. Tessa feel exhausted spend time with Liam and he always pocking her wound and think she is in grive depression. In his way Liam always make excuse to spend time with Tessa, he is caring about Tessa and want her to move on. He want to have relationship with her but need Tessa to really letting go her past.

Thank you to NetGalley for provide this book, it is pleasure to review this book.
