Mia is a young widow who tragically lost her beloved husband and is now the sole parent of their two wonderful little boys. She's an author, which is great, but she is not so successful that she doesn't have to worry about money. In fact, her most recent book, a memoir of widowhood, is not doing well. Her three best friends step up and arrange an impromptu book tour in each of their hometowns. Unfortunately, it turns out to be during the week that the entire nation began to shut down as the pandemic became a reality. The "fun widow's book tour" turns out to be a chaotic journey, made even more so by Mia's attempts to give advice to her three friends, each of whom is going through some relationship drama. Mia's widowhood has given her a new perspective on life, and she wants to share her wisdom and help her friends -- but the results are not always what she thought they would be. This is a great story, engaging from the first pages, as we cheer for Mia and hope that things turn out for her. I look forward to recommending this title.

Author Zoe Fishman mines her own personal story of losing her husband and turns it into a sweet, moving and at times unbearably sad novel of grieving the live of your life while being forced to carry on with your life. There is so much truth, love and friendship in this book. And heartbreak and hope. A very personal, wonderful novel.

I loved this book. I was crying by the end. I loved the friendship between Mia, George, Rachel & Chelsea. I loved how they backed Mia and were there for her when her husband died.
I adored her father, Ira. Yes he was hard on her, but he still praised her and encouraged her.
There is so much beautiful life advice in here. Life is short, we can get so caught up in it, that we get lost. And tragically sometimes it takes an event like death to show us.
Mia is brave and strong and I adored her. She is doing what's best for her dudes' but also trying to live her life and find what makes her fun again.
Her relationship with Judy, her stepmom, is rough, but it comes together at the end so beautifully.
I think a lot of women will love this book because it's a testament to women and how amazingly strong we are. Especially mothers!
This book will make you laugh and cry and look at life differently.

Zoe Fishman brings relationships to life in this emotional rollercoaster of a novel. Parts of this book were so well written, I felt like I was in the book! I would love to read more from this author in the future.
Mia is a widow with two sons, "the dudes", and she just released her new memoir about the loss of her husband. It's raw, depressing, and cathartic for her to write. It's been 2 years and she is still processing her grief and learning to be a single parent. When her friend suggests she turns her release into a book tour, despite the low reviews and sales, she decides to go for it. She goes to the 3 locations her best friend's live and stays with them while she tours.
Along the way, we meet each friend and Mia confronts them about their issues in their own lives/helps them work through their relationship troubles. She feels like she has completely different perspective now that her partner is gone, and she wants to encourage her friends to love and work hard on their marriages.
The book touches on the pandemic quite a bit, and while I realize it played a role in the plot/setting, I didn't enjoy reading about it. #toosoon? I'm over hearing about covid in any form and it could have been left out of the book, in my opinion.
Overall, I did really love chunks of the book. It was a good book and I think it's worth a few hours of your time to read it. I would love to read more of her books in the future as well, her characters are so well developed!

WoW! What a book!
The Fun Widow's Book Tour by Zoe Fishman was a beautifully written story!
The writing was stellar, Zoe's writing is funny, raw, honest, and so very real.
So purposeful and clever.
This character was vividly drawn, emotional and smartly written.
Something that struck me was that the life of Mia seemed so realistic--something that can be very relatable to readers.
This talented author shapes her character with tenderness and a realism that connects the reader on so many levels.
This book is both a compelling and profound read on grief, moving forward and finding happiness in life.
Such a relatable book, with relatable characters and realistic events.
I had the best time reading this story and getting lost inside the pages, I lost hours today....
And I'm not upset about it... Because this is one book I have felt the way I do while reading....
Pleased, thought-provoking and delightful
