This was a multicultural romance where the two main characters are brought together by the death of some they both held dear. It's beautifully written and represents POC well. I am usually a more of a chase than romance and a little more of a drama through the book, but I did still enjoy this one.

The Time of Your Life is a great romance novel. I love the main characters, Beck and Eden, how they met and the progression of their romance.
I didn't like the pace, it was very slow, and took away some of the excitement for me.

This book was everything and I truly enjoyed it. It was a little different from what I normally read but had so much spice, sweet moments, and angst to keep me hooked. I cried when Beck and Nora finally had it out about what happened when he was a kid. I enjoyed Eden so much. She was so open, kind, and giving. Her relationship with her sister was frustrating but I think she handled it well. Getting to see Eden and Beck’s relationship grow was a pleasure. I loved everything about this book!

Slower pace and a little hard to get going, but the character Development was worth it. Kitt had a fantastic way with words. The way that Beck and Eden came to meet was kiss face! A little bit of romance with the perseverance and the character story.
Read as an ARC and would recommend. I did not read the first in the series and plan to go back.

Eden and Bek both had deep ties to the deceased Everett Nichol, however neither knew about the other, As they are both dealing with this sad times they are getting to know each other better. FOr me this book was unreaistic. THere was not enough in there to mke this a great book for me It did not hold my attention. I have read other books by this wuthor and loved them. The one just didnt do it for me.

When Everett Nicholls dies, he leaves his fortune to his step-son, Beck Dennison, and the law student he was mentoring, Eden Marsh. Unsure of each other, they are trying to figure out where one another stands while also dealing with the new issues that are arising. The ones that they’ve been ignoring, but now that they’ve inherited a fair amount of money can no longer be ignored.
This is the second novel in The Millionaires Club series, but I don’t feel like I was missing anything by not reading the first one. The concept intrigued me and I thought I’d get pulled in by some drama with a touch of slow-burn and enemies to lovers. I was led astray as the two MCs seemed to set aside their questions and differences quick and there was a lack of drama that really made it hard for me to get invested.
At the beginning, it felt incredibly dialogue heavy. It did seem to get better, but it didn’t feel like the the balance of show verse tell ever balanced out. I don’t think I ever got to actually know the characters and learn about them. Eden and Beck stayed kind of flat for me in a way. I never seemed to really get to learn about them and connect with them which really left me struggling with this book.
There was also a mention of COVID that really caught me off guard. It felt sudden and out of place where there were no other details to make me think that was going on. I hated this and really wished that it wasn’t there at all.
This simply wasn’t the book for me. I wasn’t able to connect with the characters nor was I excited by the story that felt entirely anticlimactic. If you want minimal drama, low stakes romance, give this a shot.

3.5 stars!
"The Time of Your Life" by Sandra Kitt is a slow-burning dramatic romance with two excellent lead characters and a story that starts strong but quickly turns stagnant. I loved the instant chemistry between the main characters, Eden and Beck, and I would have followed them anywhere they went. I enjoyed their personalities, their intimate discussions, and their easy-going connection, Eden's fierce fighting for what she knows is right, and Beck's undying tenderness and affection. The characters in this book are well-written and feel authentic and lived-in, right down to the clothes they wear and the places they live. Unfortunately, the story itself is a bit of a slog to get through. This book is not that long, but you certainly feel its length on every single page. While the premise and the things that happen here are meant to be very dramatic in nature, it feels like there are no heavy stakes, no real oomph to anything that happens. Even when Eden comes face to face with Beck's ex-girlfriend, or when Eden confronts her little sister towards the end of the book, there's no real sense of urgency or any flair to the plot. I liked seeing Beck and Eden grow and overcome their issues (both separately and together), but the road to get there was just too long and a bit boring for me.
Thank you to NetGalley, Sandra Kitt, and SOURCEBOOKS Casablanca for the complimentary ARC of this book. All opinions are my own. I was not compensated for this review.

Unfortunately, this book was not for me. I struggled to get into it, and there wasn't enough character development for me.

I really wanted to like this one more than I did because the cover is absolutely stunning! But I found myself gaining and losing interest throughout the book. There were aspects of the main characters that I found endearing but again, this one just didn’t keep my interest as I’d hoped.
However, I do think it’s a solid book which is why I gave it three stars, but it’s possible that I wasn’t the right audience for it.

This book really got me going but it did take a few chapters in before I got super invested in the story

When Everett Nicholls died, he left everything to his law school student mentee, Eden Marsh, and his stepson, Beck Dennison. Eden and Beck meet at his memorial service and become friends. When they both discover that they have inherited his estate, issues arise in their budding friendship and relationships with the people around them. It's an interesting story detailing how they deal with their problems. It's not the most riveting story, but it is relatable as it deals with issues anyone might face.

I really enjoyed this book. It was my first Sandra Kitt novel but it most certainly will not be my last. I enjoyed the way that the book captures you from the first chapter. Eden is a lovely character, she is a 3rd year law student who is faced with some choices that can change her life. The way the book is described is almost fairytale like. Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this!

This is a romance story based on a relationship that is building slowly. This story shows you family issued of the two main characters. It shows you how their relationship grows from the very first time they see and are attracted to each other, to the point where feelings are there. One of the main things I liked about this book was that them falling for each other was realistic and not no love at first sight mumbo jumbo.
I did struggle a little bit with the fact this book is very serious. I like serious books but I like them to also have a little be of levity, be lighthearted. This story was still very good and I will definitely recommend this book.
Thank you Netgalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca for giving me an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

(ARC from NetGalley) Once again I ended up grabbing a sequel on accident. Eden is a 3rd year law student and she falls in love with a journalist named Beck. Both Eden and Beck have been left a fortune by their mentors and get to experience lifestyle changes side by side. Cute premise, but I was bored. Nothing really happens plot-wise.

This was a fabulous book. It was enjoyable and had wonderful pacing. I would read this author again. I would recommend this book to others.

Man meets woman. Attraction flares but of course there are complications and other people interfering.
It was a slow burn to build the relationship between Eden and Beck. At times I was tempted to skip, pages to see if it ever would happen.
Eventually they arrive, but it was t on the fast rain.
It’s a decent story of being sure, relationship angst, and all the rest.

I struggled to get into the story and didn't connect with the story or the characters. This is the first book I've read by this author. I will try another book by her. Just because I didn't care for it doesn't mean you won't, so grab a copy and see what you think!
Thank you Net-Galley for the copy!

This was one of those books that I had to really push through to finish because it was such a slow-burn. I mean slug in a turtle race slow so I didn’t enjoy it but I didn’t hate it either. I was really waiting for the characters to come to life and to read this amazing dialogue something to really pull me in. But the novel had no real excitement I mean we get zero drama not to say that would’ve made it any better. It was like watching a movie in black and white (dull) the premise seemed promising but the story dragged for so long I couldn’t wait for it to end.
The novel follows Eden Marsh and Beck Dennison after Everett Nicholls died, leaving his millions to the two they are instantly suspicious of each other. Now with such a large inheritance in the picture both must deal with some lingering family issues. As they begin to confide in each other and have fun together their friendship is an anchor in a stormy new life for the two.
Again this was a cute romance but I didn’t really feel connected with any of the characters they all lacked depth. Of them all I couldn’t stand Holly the most. I get the author was trying to build a connection or relationship with both main MC’s by including their family troubles etc but I could’ve done without the side characters.
Luckily, I didn’t have any real expectations for the book so I can’t say that I’m disappointed but this isn’t something I’d be interested in reading again. When the book first started I felt like after Everett’s funeral things would pick up but at no point at all did the pacing progress. So, do I recommend? I say read at your own will you might enjoy it. Special thanks to the author & @sourcebookscasa for my gifted copy!!!

The time of your life
By Sandra Kitt
This is book 2 of the millionaire club series. However, it can definitely be read as a standalone. If you’d like to read the first book, however the title is. WINNER TAKES
I thoroughly enjoyed the story and getting to know Eden Marsh and Beck Dennison.
Eden and Beck meet at the week of Everest Nicholls.
Eden is a third year law student. Everett really saw something in her so he became her mentor. He also funded her college degree. Beck is Everett stepson. Who is also held very fond to his heart. He’s saw such potential in both of Beck and Eden that he took them under his wing. They did not meet until the week of Everett Nicholls.
They had their suspicions of each other, especially when they were written into the will, and betrothed millions of dollars.
I was honored to be chosen by NetGalley to read and review this book, and this is my honest review

I finished reading this book at the 38% mark. I was simply unmoved to continue reading story with a premise I usually have success with - a mix of historical and present-day fiction depicting a Black celebrity - due to the novel's low levels intrigue and uninteresting examination of passing,
