I honestly didn't know what to expect when I started reading Take It Off. I figured it would be some dry, my life as a sex god kind of book with footnotes about all the girls the guys have had. Maybe a list of names like Mandy in Manhattan, Roxane in Rhode Island, etc. Okay, so there were a few sex in the bathroom, sex next to the stage, sex...I could go on, but then you wouldn't have to read the book. There was sex in this book. But it wasn't a book about sex. This is not erotic romance or erotica. It's a detailed account of two guys who've lived as male dancers. They verified some of the parts in Magic Mike I questioned. The guys were open and honest about the fast life they lived from fast cars to fast women...pranks I'll never understand, goofy, silly things that make the dancers oh so human and even some more somber parts. Take It Off has a little bit of everything. Several times I had to put it down because I was laughing too hard to keep reading. Toilet paper in the thong. 'Nuff said.If you're looking to live vicariously through two experienced male dancers, give this book a try. I'll definitely be looking for the sequel although I'll be sure to keep a fan handy for all those sex stories. ;)
