A debut novel from a promising new author. I actually read this twice, as I forgot to write this review!

A dual timeline story, emotional rollercoaster, and unexpected plot twists. I loved when Emily stole the book, a well written child character will get me every time.

I do still have questions, as a debut effort I am not surprised, a little confusion at times, and times when I would love to know what Nathan is thinking.

I am interested to see what this author brings to us next.

Thank you to NetGalley and BookBuzz.net, Blair Harton Writes LLC for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.

Love, Lydie by Blair Harton is an absolutely mesmerizing love story that takes readers on a rollercoaster of emotions. Harton's exquisite writing style and well-portrayed characters make this novel truly unputdownable.

The story follows three women, Anna, Emily, and Lydia, whose lives eventually intertwine in unexpected ways. Each of them encounters a man who turns their world upside down, but love, passion, betrayal, and secrecy also become a part of their lives.

What truly makes this novel shine is the depth of emotions it evokes. The characters feel so real, and their dialogues are incredibly realistic, making readers feel like they are a part of the story. The rollercoaster of emotions experienced throughout the book is a testament to Harton's skillful storytelling.

Love, Lydie seamlessly weaves together two separate storylines, introducing readers to Lydia and Nathan's passionate and tumultuous relationship. Then, the focus shifts to Anna, who meets Nathan and his charming daughter Emily. The development of these relationships, as well as the exploration of love after loss and the importance of family, is heartwarming and deeply moving.

The characters in Love, Lydie are exceptionally well-drawn. Lydia, Anna, Nathan, and Emily all come to life on the pages, with their distinct personalities and relatable struggles. Emily, in particular, steals the show with her sassy and entertaining demeanor. It is clear that Harton has crafted each character with care and attention.

The plot of Love, Lydie is wonderfully creative and keeps readers engaged from beginning to end. The twists and turns are unexpected and will leave readers amazed. The way everything comes together is nothing short of extraordinary, and the underlying message about fate and the power of love is beautifully conveyed.

Overall, Love, Lydie is an outstanding debut novel from Blair Harton. It is a must-read for romance enthusiasts and anyone seeking a truly great novel. This book delivers on all fronts, from its compelling plot to its well-developed characters and the wide range of emotions it invokes. I cannot wait to see what Harton has in store for readers next.

I received an advanced copy of this love story, all thoughts are honest and mine alone.

This story mixes mystery and two different timelines and love stories, so it's gonna be hard to break from it.
It was well-developed, with nice backgrounds for the characters, and just a sweet read about love, fate, grief, and moving forward.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book received from the publisher via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This is a good book. The two main characters are Anna and Nathan. Anna is the event coordinator at the old theater in town. Nathan is a widow and father of Emily. Nathan is trying to help with the remodeling of the theater. There is an instant attraction between the two. They each have issues but together they work them out and fall in love.

I wanted to love this book so much because I truly enjoyed the first half however, I’m not sure what happened during part 2? It kinda just fell off and wasn’t easy to follow

I have mixed feelings about this book. The book is split into two parts. The first part focuses on Lydia and Nathan meeting through some less than great circumstances. Nathan is a famous rockstar and Lydia is a hardworking student. They meet and have a whirlwind romance. They are crazy about each other!

The second part of the book focuses on Nathan, eight year old Emily and a woman named Anna. The three of them are working to save a local theater in Shiloh. Anna knows nothing about Nathan or his past but feels drawn to him.

The book is written well and the characters are well thought out. It was a good read but there was something about how Nathan acted towards the end of the book that rubbed me the wrong way. I still recommend giving it a read.

I received a complimentary copy of Love Lydie in exchange for an honest review. This was a brilliant and well thought out plot from beginning to end. Without spoiling it, this book changed in a direction I never saw coming very quickly. Ms. Harton did an outstanding job keeping the reader engaged and trying to figure out what could have possibly gone so wrong for Nathan and the mother of his child.

The ending was probably the best I've ever seen. The ending tied up so many little pieces that occurred throughout the story. As a person it makes you reflect about life, the contacts you make, and if everything really does happen for a reason. I might even have to revisit this book again to capture all of the little pieces that I didn't realize were so significant at the the time.

I would absolutely recommend this book!

I had a hard time getting into this story.

The author starts the story from the past and you follow how a couple, Nathan and Lydia, meet in New York City. You see the start of their love story. Then a few chapters later, you fast forward almost 10 years later and a 23 year old new hire, Anna, is lusting over the same guy from years earlier. Only now he has an eight year old daughter Emily, and he's single again.

When the story is told by Anna's POV, I felt like Anna had the mind set of a teenager. Emily's maturity was more advanced than Anna's.

This book started off strong but honestly was so disappointed about how it played out. I don't want to spoil it, but it felt odd, you were rooting so hard for this couple to be together despite the obstacles that came with his fame, but then second half, WHAT EXACTLY WAS HAPPENING??!! sighhhhh. Overall, writing was ok, written in 3rd person, this was just an ok read for me.

I struggled to love the novel Love Lydie. The dialogue seemed stilted and at one point I checked to make sure it wasn’t a YA book. I did like the plot and wish I could’ve gotten into it more.

Overall this was a good book. The storyline was cute. However, I found it a bit confusing due to the dialogue. For example, if a chapter is titled “Nathan” when speaking about Nathan I feel it should not say “he went to the hospital, he was propped up against the island.” It should be in the first person. Just a personal preference. It took mr awhile to figure out the author was talking about the person who’s name was the chapter name when they said he or she. Overall, it was an easy read. There were some things that happened in the beginning that made me want to keep reading. I will definitely recommend this book!
