It was lovely to revisit Seabreeze Farm en escape to the Cornish coast. An easy read with likable characters, second chances and a scene stealing dog.

I got this arc in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you Netgalley and Boldwood book for giving me the opportunity to read finding family at Seabreeze farm. I really enjoy Jo Barlett books.

This is one of those series with a great cast of characters who you take to immediately, even the inquisitive animals who live at the farm! The story centres around Freya, who is due to be married at the farm. Her life becomes incredibly complicated at the beginning with not one but two earth- shattering discoveries. Seabreeze Farm offers something of a refuge when she needs it. She has been attracted to Kelsea Bay because of her memories of being there with her mother. It does seem like a lovely little community and all the seasonal touches make it seem even more appealing.

The family who owns Seabreeze Farm are all sympathetic characters who take Freya under their wing. They are living through some life changing moments of their own and luckily for them, Freya is on hand to help out when she is needed. With a mystery to uncover as Freya searches for her father, this is a fun read with some romance to help the story along.

In short: a warm, light read

Once again Jo Bartlett has given readers a wonderful book filled with fully-formed & believable characters & storylines that capture the reader’s imagination and holds our interest from start to finish.
It was great to be back at Seabreeze Farm & to catch up with the farm’s residents (human & animal) who featured in the previous book. It seems like a lot has happened since we last visited! This time we follow the ups & downs of Freya, bride-to-be whose wedding is booked at the farm just before Christmas.
A lovely feel-good book set in the days running up to Christmas. Full of friendship, family & mending broken hearts. This story is the perfect festive read.

I have been a fan of Jo's work for a while now. By no means have I read everything that she has written but that is something that I hope to rectify in the not too distant future. I absolutely loved the first book in the 'Seabreeze Farm' series called 'Welcome To Seabreeze Farm', which was released earlier this year. When I heard that Jo was due to release the second book in the series, I knew that I had to get a copy and read it at the earliest opportunity. Well ladies and gents, the wait is over because 'Finding Family At Seabreeze Farm' was released on 2nd December 2022. It's another cracker of a read. I thoroughly enjoyed reading 'Finding Family At Seabreeze Farm' but more about that in a bit.

As soon as I started reading, I knew that I was in for a treat and that I would find it rather difficult to put the book to one side for any length of time. I was spot on in both predictions. I think part of the appeal of the story was the fact that Freya was looking for certain family members that she previously hadn't known anything about. I am currently researching my family tree and have discovered relatives that I didn't know I had so I could appreciate some of the mixed feelings that she found herself having. The more of the book that I read, the more I wanted to read and the quicker the pages seemed to turn. It was as if the book had developed a hold over me and it was a hold that I wasn't willing to break. I became desperate to know how the story panned out and if the female lead characters got the 'happy ever after' endings that both so deserved. All too quickly I reached the end of 'Finding Family At Seabreeze Farm' and I had to say goodbye to Freya and the rest of the characters. I found 'Finding Family At Seabreeze Farm' to be a gripping and emotional read which certainly kept me guessing and which kept me on the edge of my seat.

'Finding Family At Seabreeze Farm' is superbly written but then I have come to expect nothing less from Jo Bartlett. Jo has one of those easy going writing styles that is easy to get used to and easy to get along with. In fact reading one of Jo's books feels more like a chat between friend rather than reading a book. I hope that makes sense. Jo certainly knows how to grab the reader's attention and draw them into what proves to be one hell of a story. I always find that the sign of a good book is when I become far too involved in the story to the extent where I talk to the characters can hear me. That's exactly what happened with 'Finding Family At Seabreeze Farm'. This book took me on an emotional journey with lots of ups and downs, twists and turns. I love the way in which Jo makes the reader feel as though they are part of the story and at the heart of the action.

In short, I thoroughly enjoyed reading 'Finding Family At Seabreeze Farm' and I would recommend it to other readers. I will definitely be reading more of Jo's work in the future. The score on the Ginger Book Geek board is a very well deserved 5* out of 5*.

This was a brilliant story and addition to the seabreeze farm series. I have definitely loved each book in this series and they are hard to put down. It wasn't as good as the last book but definitely a solid 4 stars as it was very enjoyable and exciting. I loved the unexpected twists to the story. I especially loved the ending. This book is a brilliant page turning novel. The characters, as always were well developed, fun and realistic. I was definitely emotionally involved in the story. I definitely recommend reading this book/series, especially if you love animals, family and weddings.

So much praise goes out to the author and publishers for creating such a loveable story. And giving us another amazing character to the stories. I can't wait to read the next instalment.

This is the second book in this series, which features Ellie and her family at Seabreeze Farm.
This time, we meet Freya, a new character who is grieving the loss of her mum and her cancelled wedding. The story follows her journey.
The book, just like the first book is very heartwarming and full of emotional moments and a delightful read.
I would definitely recommend this series.
Thanks to Boldwood Books & netgalley for this advance read.

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC of Finding Family at Seabreaaze Farm. I was expecting this story to be more of a Chriatmas story, and while it takes place aroubd the holidays, it was not what I would classify as Christmas. What I did find was a heart warming story about Freya who comes full.circle in her search of family, forgiveness and love.

After finding out a huge secret from her past, Freya runs to Seabreeze Farm, the place her wedding was supposed to take place. She is on the hunt for her real father, but finds more than she expected.

Freya is looking forward to marrying Ollie, the man of her dreams. However, when she discovers a shocking family secret about her parents she flees to Seabreeze Farm to track down her real father and sort her head out.

Here she is welcomed with open arms and hearts by Ellie and Karen. The farm is certainly a great place to find out the truth and heal.

I love this series and can’t wait to read more.

Where do I begin, with this, everything is all swirling round my head at once, how much I love Freya, how much I loved the story, the writing, the emotions, just everything, second chances and returning home, everything ticked my boxes with this joy to read book.

I’ll start I think with my love for our MC Freya, because I really did adore her, with how much she goes through at the start and has been through , she’s so resilient, with support from Karen, Ellie et al her journey is just so lovely.

I really like how Jo writes about normal people, no out of the ordinary people, just everyday people you’d know, I love how she makes me feel somany different emotions in just one book , how addicted I am once I get into the pages, the hearts of the characters, but overall I love that this story holds all the most important things you need, friendship, family, love and community.

Thanks to Jo Bartlett, Boldwood Books and Rachel’s Random Resources for a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest and voluntary review, all opinions are my own and freely given.

Can love find a way. After heartbreak and misunderstanding but with a lovely farm that helps to find a way through thick and thin. Love the characters and as for the farm, I would love to be there. Wonderful read 5 stars.

Thanks to Netgalley and publisher for this ARC

Having read the first in this series, Welcome to Seabreeze Farm and really enjoying it, I was happy to learn there was another book which features Ellie and Ben and Ellie’s mum Karen. Ellie was just setting up Seabreeze Farm as a wedding location and our new main character Freya is her first customer!

Freya is looking forward to her wedding with Ollie, the love of her life along with her family. Although her parents have sadly both passed away, she has an adoring auntie and uncle who treat her as their daughter. Things sadly go wrong when she discovers a shocking family secret and catches Ollie out on a lie. Desperate to speak to her mum but knowing she can’t no matter how much she wishes, she calls off the wedding and flees to Seabreeze Farm armed with her mum’s diary and determined to learn the truth and track down her real father.

Seabreeze Farm and its locations holds memories for Freya as it is where her mum spent time as a young woman and also where she would take Freya most summers. Freya hopes this will help her learn a bit more about her mum and her life before she had Freya.

This was such a heartwarming family orientated story and I couldn’t put it down. The location is perfect and the build up to Christmas and the birth of Ellie and Ben’s first child just adds to the lovely storyline along with their welcoming of Freya.

Fantastic – I hope there are more to come!

Finding Family at Seabreeze Farm by Jo Bartlett
(This book was previously published as Finding Dad.)
Freya Halliwell is looking forward to marrying the man of her dreams and starting their new life together. After the death of both of her parents, Ollie, along with Freya's aunt, are the only family she has, but all the family she needs.
Until Freya discovers a shocking secret that makes her question everything she thought she knew about her once-happy family, especially the man she used to call dad. Devastated and feeling more alone than ever, Freya needs time and space to come to terms with the news. But until then the wedding is off!
Seabreeze Farm is the perfect place for Freya to recover. But could this beautiful farm perched high on the cliffs also hold the answer to Freya's past and reunite her with the family she never even knew she'd wished for?
If you enjoyed Jo's previous series, The Cornish Midwife, then I am sure you will relish this story.
Book 1, Welcome to Seabreeze Farm, was a joy to read and happily, I was lucky enough to receive the second in the series to review.
This second book of the Sea Breeze Farm series could be read as a standalone, but I suggest you read book one to get the most out of this fabulous series.
A story of love, loss, truth and secrets and how the past can determine future outcomes. Heartwarming characters, community spirit, and a sprinkle of Christmas magnetism.
I want to thank publishers Boldwood Books, author Jo Bartlett and Rachels Random Resources for a copy to read and review.

I really sank into this cozy read. It just flowed along very gently and I loved the fact that it didn’t concentrate too much on the Christmas theme. It was a lovely story which turned out just right in the end. A very satisfying story. My thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for giving me the opportunity to read this book in return for an honest review..

I get the feeling this is a typical Jo Bartlett story or what I have come to expect of her stories based on the few I have read so far. The characters are kind and so easy to love and going through something... in this case Freya is grieving the loss of her mother and the wedding that did not happen. When trying to come to terms with the changes and what her future will now hold she meets some lovely new people on Seabreeze Farm and we can't help but fall in love with some of these characters and wish we were there with them. Reading this story I completely forgot about everything else I was meant to be doing and smiled, I got really emotional by certain events and even shed a tear here and there. All in all a heart-warming story set at Christmas focusing on family and friendship.

A festive, heartwarming, and sweet story about losing your past and finding your future.
Seabreeze Farm novels are escapism at highest level but are also novels that talks about women who are facing big changes in their life.
Freya is facing big changes as she run away to Seabreeze trying to make sense of what happened to her love life and her sense of identity after some important discoveries.
This is a story that starts with a young couple who's going to get married and face a lot of changes and becomes the story of a woman who must understand what her life will be.
A lot will happen, some parts moved me and some other made me smile.
I was happy to catch up with Ellie, Karen, Alan and Ben. They're as lovely as they were in the first book and the rescue animals are an added bonus.
I loved this Christmas novel as it's a compelling and well plotted story.
Many thanks to Boldwood Books and Rachel’s Random Resources for this arc, all opinions are mine

I read this book as a standalone, but I think for more context I need to definitely give the first in the series a read. I have loved Barlett's Cornish Midwife series, so was excited to get started on this one.

I found this one resonated with me quite a lot as I too have never known my real father despite several searches.

Bartlett has a way of writing that keeps you engaged in the storyline, the characters come alive and by the end of the book they feel like real people, friends that you know and its always hard to leave them behind.

A beautifully written, heartwarming romance full of family, friendships and the true meaning of the festive season.

Many thanks to Rachel's Random Resources for my tour spot.

This is a definite five star read, Jo had me captivated in this beautiful Christmas story from the first page.
Telling the story of Freya and her fiancé Ollie as they plan their Christmas Wedding at Seabreeze Farm.
After Freya receives a shock from her past she flees to Seabreeze Farm to hide out and lick her wounds.
What she doesn’t expect to find is a whole new life making friends for life with Karen and Ellie and the rest of the farmyard including Ginger Ellie’s dog.
This book is full of friendship and family all wrapped up with a big Christmas bow.
I loved every single page.
Thank you Boldwood Books and Netgally for a ARC of this beautiful book.
