I love Katherine Center and this book is no different. She always has incredible stories and I went out and immediately bought this one afterwards

Sadie's life is going in the right direction for once. She's a portrait artist who just got her big break: a spot in the finals of a huge portrait contest with a big prize! Just one problem: an unexpected medical issue leaves her with temporary face blindness. She's got to figure out how to paint her entry for the contest without being able to see the faces. Her bestie who promised to help runs off to elope and Sadie's left with trying to paint her mysterious neighbor. She can't quite figure out whether she hates or reallilly likes him. Not to mention a charming veterinarian in the mix to complicate matters.
I really enjoyed this one! The mysterious vibe that the face blindness brings to the story is both funny and super intriguing. The chemistry between the characters is super cute and I loved that everything worked out in the end. Even though I predicted one of the major reveals, I was still grinning from ear to ear reading the final rooftop scene.

Ehhh face blindness…. A trope I do not like. It just seems too easy of a story.
Sure the characters are super cute and Katherine is a phenomenal writer, but I just don’t love the plot in itself.

This was a fun book! Having read quite a few of Katherine Center's books I knew what to expect and she didn't disappoint with this one! I enjoyed watching Sophie overcome her problematic facial blindness condition and loved seeing her come back into her "true self". Some elements of this book were a bit unsurprising and followed the traditional "formula" for romance books, and admittedly I'm not as big into friends to lovers as other tropes. However, this is still a book I'd recommend!

Wow! This is only my second book by Katherine Center and it was a smashing success for me! I loved the story and the characters so much! Even though the story started on a sad note, I ended up rooting for the characters quickly. The romance was so sweet and I appreciate that the closest we got to steamy romance was a make-up scene and they were interrupted.
Thank you to NetGalley for a copy of this book to read and review. All thoughts are my own.

I love this story so much! They’re stupid adorable. Even when I saw all of it coming it still didn’t diminish just how dang ridiculous I love the end. Now off to read all of Katherine’s backlist.
Also thank you NetGalley for the ARC.

This is the second of Katherine Center’s books that I’ve gotten as an advanced copy and they just keep getting better. The first was How to Walk Away, which I loved and have read every one since, but this one has been my favorite so far. It follows Sadie, a portrait artist who suffers from face blindness following an accident. It explores what it might look like to fall in love without having a visual sense to rely on. Some of it was admittedly predictable, but that’s also part of what I love about romance.. a formula for a happy ending.

Thank you to the author and publisher for providing me with an ARC of "Hello Stranger." I had high hopes for this book because I really enjoyed "The Bodyguard" by the same author. Unfortunately, this book fell flat for me. I didn't like or connect with the female main character, and the writing style didn't have the same appeal as "The Bodyguard." I will give this author's other titles a chance, though.

I love the way Katherine writes. Her books are comparable to eating a hot chocolate chip cookie with some milk, DELICIOUS! the characters in this book are so relatable and REAL. I felt like I was always giggling and having the best time. I do wish I listened to this one because it feels like it would've been such a good audio!

I really enjoyed this book! I've read a few of Katherine Center's books before and this one might become my new favorite! It's a very unique premise and unlike any other romance novels I've read before. Thank you for the opportunity to read it!

Thank you for the advanced copy of this book. My reviews can be read on my GoodReads account here: https://www.goodreads.com/user/show/1335387-kelly

I rated "Hello Stranger" by Katherine Center 3 stars on Goodreads. While it was an okay read, it felt quite unrealistic. The concept of facial blindness was intriguing, but it was painfully obvious that the two men the main character was interested in were the same person, whether she had proper eyesight or not. The banter between the characters was enjoyable, but overall, I found it difficult to connect with them, making it just an average read for me.

Katherine Center is a magnificent storyteller who sucks me right in with her imperfect, relatable characters. I look forward to her new books every year and this one was no exception.

Overall, I enjoyed Hello Stranger by Katherine Center but was not amazed. It was a fun time even with a serious topic present. I thought Katherine Center wrote about prosopagnosia respectfully while throwing in plenty of laughs. My main downside with this book was our FMC who felt so selfish and whiny throughout the book. I felt as if she thought the whole world revolved around her and nobody gave a hoot about anyone else. I also felt like some events also bordered so unrealistic to me that it disengaged me from the book. I am looking forward to reading more by Katherine Center in the future though as her books are fun and easy to read!

As always with Center’s books, totally charming. A delightful universe of characters and a tender, sweet love story that you can’t wait to finish to know the ending, but also want to last forever.

Katherine Center is one of my all time favorite authors. I loved the representation that this book had about face blindness. I love how each book she writes touches on very serious topics that are not typical in everyones daily life. It did feel very slow at the beginning but it sped up quickly. Thank you for the chance to read this book!

HELLO STRANGER follows Sadie, who I think is in her late 20s or early 30s, with acquired face blindness trying to navigate crushing on people who’s faces she can’t see. The idea is cute, but I struggled to get into the story, primarily because Sadie sounds like she’s about 14 years old and seems to process information like a young girl. Transitions from chapter to chapter felt jumbled. The last third of the story was the only section that felt like the fun romance the story could have been the whole time. One highlight was Peanut - who seems like the most precious dog. If you’re interested in a fun romance by this author, try THE BODYGUARD instead - that one I loved.

Hello Stranger, like all of Katherine Center's novels, is a feel good novel. The plot was a bit predictable but that does not take away from the book at all. Prior to her surgery, Sadie, at times, can be a little annoying, but it does not make the book insufferable or unable to be read. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this one and I can not wait for her next novel.

I love Katherine Center, and to this date, one of my favorite reads is the Bodyguard. I handsell that one very often at my bookstore. It's just so quirky and innocent, and the characters are adorable. There's just so much to love about her writing. This book was bittersweet as well. I have to admit the end had me in tears because the fmc knew what she wanted, but didn't realize what the outcome was due to her own complications. And everyone was just so confused and things got heated. And I started to get worried for both of our main characters. But Center did not let us down, and we got our happy ending after all! Thank you Netgalley for sharing this earc with me.

I had the absolute hardest time reading ANYTHING in 2023, because I was pregnant and my attention span went to zero. But I will always power through for Katherine Center, and this book held my attention when nothing else would! It was lighthearted and fun, sweet and sexy. All around, it was a great summer read and did not disappoint!
