If you are looking for a charming royal escape for Christmas, I definitely recommend Once Upon a Royal Christmas. I listened to the audio version and really enjoyed the way the narrator performed the characters. She did a great job of reading with an American accent for Gracie and used a European accent for Prince Nikolas and his sister, Princess Emily.

I loved the way Nick and Gracie began to get to know each other. They had both formed opinions about each other based on assumptions they made. It was great to see them actually interact and begin to see beneath the surface to the people they actually were. They had a sweet, romantic chemistry together and were both kind and caring individuals.

I recommend this for fans of sweet romance, royal fiction, and those who are looking for a great Christmas themed story.

Thank you Hallmark Publishing and NetGalley for the Audio ARC. In true Hallmark fashion, a wonderful holiday story where girl meets prince, both trying to revive their life’s purpose, fall in love…treading lightly at first, with a hiccup or two & the rest is history. Teri Wilson’s writing is detailed in a way where you can visualize each scene as if you were in it yourself. Perfect for a Hallmark movie and putting one in the holiday spirit! The choice of narrator was brilliant. Brittany Pressley was fabulous at bringing the story and characters to life! I’ll be looking for her name when choosing future audiobooks.

This is definitely one for the Hallmark Christmas movie crowd. It’s not entirely unique all around but it has unique aspects and fun characters.
Gracie Clark is someone who pretends to be a princess for children’s parties. Her stage name is “Princess Snowflake”. She’s struggling to get a loan to keep her business a float when her friend enters them into a contest held by the palace of San Glacera. The palace is having trouble with attracting visitors and since the country relies on winter tourism that’s not a great thing. Hence the contest. The winner will star in the annual Ice Village festivities and will be accompanying the royal family to holiday events.
Prince Nikolas just isn’t thrilled about this whole prospect. A fake princess who goes by “Princess Snowflake”? Really? Of course, his objects fall of deaf ears and so Gracie Clark arrives in his country and he decides to make the best of it, right after a bit of a mix up.
There isn’t a lot I should tell you about this book. It’s not entirely complicated and things are mostly what you think they are going to be. Which is really not a bad thing at all.
This book is for all those who like the modern day fairly tale type of story, Hallmark Christmas, and just plain feel good stories.
The audio book for this is pretty good. The narrator is really good even if the accents seem to slip in and out just a tad here and there. Still, it's well done with all characters having their own voice.

Mistaken identity, modern world whirlwind fairytale, HEA.

This is a sweet very hallmark romance.

The audiobook was well done. Def would have only read this via audio.

Loved it! I finished it in a day! This was basically reading a hallmark Christmas movie. And honestly any Christmas romance book having to do with royals is my jam. This was no exception!
Gracie is a talented actress and singer but something in her past makes her not want to sing anymore. She and her bestie have started a Party Princess business where she dresses like a snow princess for events. Her bestie and business partner enters her into a Christmas contest for some country near Switzerland with a real royal family. Their company needs the prize money so even though Gracie isn’t comfortable with the idea she does it anyway.
The prince (Nick) is grumpy but has a heart of gold (obviously). He doesn’t want Gracie her because he doesn’t take her princess act seriously until he sees how happy her routine makes all the children of the kingdom.
Of course romances blooms, it’s adorable and magical and everything I wanted from an audiobook produced by Hallmark.

Hello super adorable Hallmark Holiday Audiobook! If you like a Hallmark Christmas movie then you'll love this story!

Huge thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the opportunity to listen to and offer a review on this really cute Christmas story.

Gracie aka Princess Snowflake enters and wins a contest to spend Christmas in San Glacera with the Royal Family. She needs the prize money to further her business and they need good publicity to up their tourism numbers.

Prince Nikolas is a "cranky" prince who has just returned from a mountain climb to find that his family has started the contest, finished the contest and selected a winner all without his input. He is not impressed but what can he do really?

Upon arrival to San Glacera Gracie spends some time exploring before she has to tend to her contesting winning duties. While out and about in the town she meets a good looking and very nice man. She then does something she NEVER does and tells him that she is "the princess" letting him in on the secret that she is behind the Princess Snowflake persona. He, in turn, lets her know that he is the prince and they make plans to meet up before the night's festivities to walk in together. Gracie thinks it'll be great for Princess Snowflake to walk in with Prince Charming, the actor they hired to be her other half for the party. Prince Nikolas thinks it will be nice to walk into the party with the neighboring town's Princess whom he has not seen in many years but is expected to entertain during the party. You see the issue here? Of course when they meet up neither of them are pleased to find out they were wrong but fate has her way and now we go on a journey to watch Prince Nikolas and Gracie fall in love.

I really enjoyed this story. Nik and Gracie are so cute and both so oblivious. What's the deal with Princess Alana though? It seemed like she was supposed to be a come between them character but that never happened at all. I don't know. It was just a mild bit of "what's the secret?" to keep us wondering I guess. I think I'm just not used to Hallmark stories, if it isn't causing anxiety is it even a story? Seriously though this story is absolutely adorable and I highly recommend it as a nice, clean Christmas romance read.

Delightful. This was my first experience with author Teri Wilson, but I'm sure it will not be my last. I was hesitant at first, not immediately captivated by the Snowflake Princess's trials and tribulations and her frustrations at not obtaining a bank loan, but when the scene shifted to "San Glacera," the tiny European kingdom anxious to improve its tourist appeal, the story picked up. Prince Nicolas--he of the real royal raiments, not the plastic variety-- proved a worthy sparring partner and a swoon-worthy Prince Charming. Publishing info indicates this is the second in a two-book set, but it serves perfectly as a stand-alone, and if anything, I saw seedlings of a follow-up story with some of the secondary characters from this volume. Curl up with a hot cup of cocoa (perhaps with a Hershey kiss at the bottom, San Glacera style), and escape to a holiday winter wonderland.

When I started Once Upon a Royal Christmas, I had no idea that it was the same author as Once Upon a Royal Summer. Although now that I see the titles next to each other I should have realized it. Within the first chapter, I thought the style seemed familiar and when I looked up the author I realized the connection immediately.

In Once Upon a Royal Christmas, another costumed princess has a real life fairytale story. This time, Gracie's friend enters her in a social media contest where the grand prize was a trip to a foreign country and meets the prince.

Although you can predict the ending of a rom-com style story, there were plenty of ups and downs along the relationship to keep you guessing.

The beginning was slow and I was unsure if I was going to finish it, but i'm so glad I did. Perfect romance to get you in the holiday spirit.

Once Upon A Royal Christmas is a standalone novel by Teri Wilson. Gracie Clark, aka Princess Snowflake, has developed and grown her Denver business of Perfect Party Princesses, providing fairytale princesses for public performances and children’s birthday parties. While Gracie is quite proud of her business, and pleased at the autonomy her princesses have found by working this job, whether they be college students, homemakers, or single moms. However, the many banks Gracie visits trying to get a small business loan to expand business and afford benefits like insurance, have not seen her vision and have denied her requests.

Meanwhile, Gracie’s best friend and business partner Clara has come upon an interesting contest being run by the small county of San Glacera. The Royal Winter Wonderland Contest is being held by the royal family to promote tourism with a grand prize of an all expenses paid week stay in San Glacera with royal appearances and a $30,000 cash prize. However, not everyone in the royal family is onboard with the idea. While King Felix, Queen Livia, and Princess Emilie are big supporters, Crown Prince Nicolas is not. He sees the stunt as unworthy and feels it wasteful.

When contest winners Gracie and Clara arrive in San Glacera they are mesmerized by the beauty of the country and enamored with its people. Initially, although going along with the plan, Prince Nicolas isn’t thrilled with it. But as Nicolas and Gracie spend more time together, not only does Nicolas lighten up but he also forgets that it is a role to be played.

This is such a lovely holiday story of love, hope, and the magic of Christmas. With wonderful characters, including very strong women, and a magical setting, this beautifully scripted story is a breath of fresh, perhaps a bit frosty, air. I have read quite a few stories by Ms. Wilson and she never disappoints. I did enjoy this book and I do recommend it!

I want to thank Netgalley and the author for gifting me the audio version. Well I did enjoy this read I will say that it did feel a bit rushed and pretty cheesy just so unrealistic. But if you are looking for a lighthearted Hallmark Christmas women meets Prince you might like this.
The characters are likeable. I just don't really see a countries King and Queen doing a giveaway for a chance to come and stay inside the palace etc. Lol that is very unrealistic. Anyways it is a very fast and easy read and listen to. The narrator did a good job.

If you enjoy Hallmark Christmas movies, you'll enjoy this sweet royal romance.

Gracie Clark owns her own business and has a handful of part-time employees that she'd love to bring on full-time and offer benefits to. But there isn't a bank out there that'd give a loan to someone whose whole business is based on impersonating a fictional character.

So, her best friend and business partner enters her into a contest without her knowledge. The prize is a $30,000 check and a week's worth of publicity in association with the royal family of a small European country called San Glacera.

The royal prince of San Glacera, Prince Nikolas, is more likely to be mistaken for the Abominable Snowman than for Prince Charming. But to support his little sister, he plays along with having this cartoon princess as part of his favorite annual traditions.

Little did he know that an imaginary princess might be just what's needed to thaw this prince's heart.

Loved the Beauty and the Beast motif that played throughout the story. Very enjoyable, sweet HEA romance. Thank you, Teri Wilson, Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for an advance review copy.

What can I say. It's Hallmark Christmas. It's magical, romantic, and full of all the feels. I really hope this one gets made into a movie.

The narration was great, the next best thing to actually watching the movie.

I listened to the audiobook.
This is a fun, corny, sweet story. Every moment is predictable, but that does not take away from the enjoyment of reading/listening to it. I listened to this author's other Princess Snowflake book and enjoyed it also. It's interesting that there is another character playing the same fictional cartoon princess under completely different circumstances. This was a little confusing at first because I was looking for a connection between the casts of characters in the two novels. There does not seem to be one. They just live in a fictional universe where Princess Snowflake is a known theme park/cartoon character.
Gracie owns a party princess business and her business is in trouble. She wins a contest to promote tourism in a small European kingdom (think Liechtenstein). The prince is know for being a grouch. The rest is obvious. But it's so much fun.
When you want a mindless guilty pleasure, reach for this book.
Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

A true princess and prince charming book. Started off to be a girls dream business and ended up meeting a real life prince. I enjoyed how it followed what I vision would happen in real life and turned out to be a true fairytale ending.

This is very definitely a Hallmark Christmas story.. Gracie plays Princess Snowflake at parties, enthralling children all over the Denver area. Her business partner, Clara, enters her into a contest overseas that's sponsored by the small, unheard of country. of San Glacera. The Prince is known as The Beast, mostly due to his surly attitude and a picture of him all grubby and icy after returning from a week camping on the Matterhorn with disabled vets. Clara and Prince Nick meet on her first day there, but neither knows who the other is and they strike up a friendship. Ups and down and many misunderstandings later, yes, the Prince thaws and the Snowflake Princess has completely won the contest (and probably his heart along with the others in the royal family and town). They help each other out and all ends well.

I just reviewed Once Upon a Royal Christmas by Teri Wilson. #OnceUponaRoyalChristmas #NetGalley

3.5*

I do enjoy some Hallmark Christmas movies during the Holiday season and this book would make a perfect Hallmark movie. It follows the classic formula 🎄

I'm a sucker for "royal" love stories. Gracie Clark is an American who owns a Children's Party business where she dresses up as a "Princess." Princess Snowflake in fact. Her friend and business partner Clara enters them into a, "Royal Winterland Contest" in the fictional kingdom of San Glacera. There she will perform as Princess Snowflake for the prize of, $30,ooo. She meets the real Crown Prince and well you know....sparks fly! Classic Hallmark.

It was a "little" bit more cheesy and rushed than I usually enjoy but still pretty entertaining. I listened to the audio that was narrated by one of my favourites...Brittany Pressley. She was perfect as Princess Snowflake. This book will definitely give you all the Christmas and wintery feels as the descriptions are nice. The recipe for the, "Royal Hot Chocolate" at the end was a nice added touch as well.

I'd like to kindly thank NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for granting me access to this Advance Listener Copy.

What do you get when you take a princess party planner, a prince from a little known country and throw them together with a little mistaken identity? A Hallmark movie in the making!

This book was so entertaining and gave me all the wonderful Christmas vibes. I was a little disappointed that there were not more scenes about the contest and that she gave away all her money, but I can still see myself listening to this each year. Brittany Pressley is an amazing narrator and was perfect for this book.

If you are looking for your next Christmas Romance, pick this one!

What an amazing Hallmark romance! Princess Snowflake aka Gracie wins a contest to spend the holidays with the royal family of San Glacera. Prince Nikolas is known for being cold hearted after his ex spoke to the news outlets. Nick does not was Gracie there but is charmed by her anyways. This is a lighthearted Christmas Romance.

What one looks for in a typical Christmas Hallmark story. Sweet, a little on the cheesy side, a pretend princess that meets her Prince. A real Prince! Princess Snowflake owns a party princesses company, but is trying to expand and needs money. Her partner and BFF enters her into a contest to help bring tourism to a small unheard of country. Well one can guess who wins and gets to meet her co-actor prince in the fairytale setting. The only thing is that it is the real Prince! A grumpy one at that.
A super cute story that I would love to see as a movie. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own. #NetGalley #OnceUponaRoyalChristmas
