This was a really fun addition to the Jujutsu Kaisen World. I loved how they were little short stories that gave more insight to the already well-known characters! It was also easy to place where the stories took place in the timeline which was! A fast read as well with cool art featured in each chapter!

A great addition to the JJK library - fans who are in the story for the characters are going to like this one more than readers who are in it for the action.

Any Jujutsu Kaisen fan would enjoy this as it focuses on side stories, giving audiences just a bit more knowledge of the gang's daily shenanigans and lore. Great for something fast and fun.

Jujutsu Kaisen is one of my favorite manga and anime series and I really enjoyed this collection of stories! It was very entertaining and I recommend this to any JJK fan!

Perhaps I should have done more research, but I expected this to be a manga. In my defense, it is tagged as being a graphic novel. The VIZ logo on each page also made it a smidgen difficicult to read. I am familiar enough with the series to recognize the characters, but without the visuals, I did have to refresh my memory on who everyone was to keep up. The stories are great filler for the series, and fans of the series would probably enjoy getting a bit more story for their favorite characters. While I'm sure many readers would enjoy this title, light novels are not very popular with my library, so it's unlikely that I would request this title for our collection.

Big Fan of Jujutsu Kaisen and this did not disappoint, I really like this style of shorter stories that blend into a bigger narrative.

This is a solid light novel tie-in for the JJK franchise, and I particularly enjoyed the funnier stories. (As a note about formatting, the VIz-proprietary stamp on all-text pages makes it REALLY hard to read these light novels.)

Oi, oi, oi. Where do I start? Okay, let's start here.

The short stories are great. A little too cheesy at times, but honestly enjoyable overall. It felt like the characters actual actions, and related well to the storyline. I also loved the modern references like YouTube and audiophile (yay for complex words becoming mainstream!).

That being said, I knocked off one star for two reasons. The first being repetitiveness can get a bit tiring. Some of the characters repeat statements and it gives the readers a mix of boring and annoyed that I wish there was a proper word for. ~ Secondly, I think it's important for me to highlight that this is a light novel and not a manga. While I knew that walking in, I'm sure there will be plenty of fans who discover this after the fact, so having something that helps to express it's a light novel may be helpful to fans.

Overall, I enjoyed it heavily, and I hope others do too!

Excellent addition to the Jujutsu Kaisen universe. Gives some interesting background that fills out more of our beloved characters and has some excellent action scenes! I'm looking forward to the next light novel!

Fans of Jujutsu Kaisen can't get enough of the manga and anime so to fill the gaps why not suggest a collection of stories featuring the Itadori, Gojo and more. Great for middle grade readers and young adults these are new stories that fill in the gaps of character relationships and what happens between cases for the sorcerers.

Fans won't want to miss reading Summer of Ashes, Autumn of Dust.

"In this world, tragedies too often end in misery, even when it's possible to help."'

Thank you to Netgalley and Viz for a copy of this in exchange for my review.

This light novel, written by Kitaguni (with original story by Gege), includes a series of short stories of our favorite characters from the original manga.

In these stories we get to read what our favorite Sorcerers and Curses do on their off days between the main storyline. We hear about Megumi and Yuji following Gojo around on his day off, a mission Nanami takes on where Gojo invites himself to join, Mahito looking for a place to stay, Yuji being off-loaded onto Ijichi by Gojo, and what Yuji did to pass his time before revealing that he wasn't actually dead!

I really enjoyed these stories because it gives the readers a more descriptive way of understanding all these important characters! For example, Mahito- a huge villain in the original manga- actually can be kind of thoughtful? Who would have thought! I give this books a rounded up 4.5/5 stars. It was a solid read that accurately depicted our beloved characters and taught me even more about their personalities!

This light novel is a collection of short stories set in the JJK universe, featuring a wide variety of characters, both good and bad. The stories vary in tone and focus, with some more lighthearted than others. I wasn't a fan of all the stories, but they all did feel in character and similar to the vibe you get from reading the manga. It was sometimes a little weird, fans will know JJK is high stakes, high action, and these stories did not always match that, but sometimes it's nice to have a change of pace. Any fan of the series should definitely check out this collection, especially if they're looking for more low stakes interactions between the characters.

There are pros and cons to this collection.

Pros: if you keep up with the manga, then this will have a much more light-hearted tone to the current chapters (looking at you Shibuya and Culling Game). It's nice and nostalgic to get to read about the students before things get REALLY dark.

Cons: the translation is below what I would consider average. Light novels have always had a reputation for having bad grammar and poor narrative flow, but there are companies out there that are proving that with a little more work and editing, that doesn't have to be true. I wanted JJK to reflect that, but instead it reads more like a light novel I would have found in the 2012s...say, like the Naruto light novels...not that I'm pointing fingers...

Overall, if you like the manga and can forgive a bit of editing slip-ups, you'll probably like this.

The short stories herein take place in the early chapters of the series, far before the Shibuya Incident. Which let me tell you, I was very thankful for, as I wanted some more of the (kinda) lighthearted Jujutsu Kaisen world, before diving back into the PAIN that is the manga right now lol

The translation was a bit clunky and the words 'boob tube" where actually used but overall I enjoyed these short stories.

Overall, the light novel was enjoyable to read. There were several pages in which spelling errors were noted. I did find that the light novel read slightly below the age demographic that frequents the bookstore I work at. I found that the exposition presented similarly to regional guidebook on specific locations. This aspect was unique and interesting but it did break the flow each story, especially the first chapter.
