I loved everything about this book! Quirky and just so much fun the heartbreak bunny bounces into your life and helps you heal. This book felt like a warm hug. Absolutely full of life lessons this authors writing felt so authentic and just needed in the romance/ women's fiction arena.

Perfect Example Of A 'Maddie Dawson Book'. This book really is a perfect exemplar of Maddie Dawson's tales and style of storytelling. You've got a perfectly imperfect character, this time pushing Senior Discount age. You've got the dose of magic. You've got the hilarious and zany "wtf" moments. You've got the various family and friend and business dynamics that are all wholesome yet with their own dramas. In a real world so full of so much death and strife and destruction and turmoil, Dawson's books are always a great escape and a solid respite from all of that, and this one is no exception to this rule. That it is timed to release at the New Year is perfect with its particular themes and actions. Overall truly an excellent departure from so much of both reality and even many books, and very much recommended.

This book was very meh for me, and not nearly as good as other books I've read by this author. The characters in particular were either one-dimensional or just plain strange. I felt like the character of Billie was almost TOO quirky and therefore it came across as a little unbelievable. Without spoiling anything, I'll say that some elements of the plot popped up out of nowhere, to the point where I thought I missed something in a previous chapter. I did not. It was a good thought and I liked the way everything wrapped up, but certain parts were kind of a mess.
I probably would not recommend this to others.

Snap Out of It was okay and perfectly okay story! I didn't absolutely adore it but I also didn't hate it. I was bored and annoyed with the characters at certain points, but also had fun laughable moments.

I loved Maddie Dawson's Matchmaking for Beginners so I was thrilled to have a chance to read her new book. Billie is a woman with a big personality and a lifetime of experiences behind her. In midlife she starts a very unique business to help the brokenhearted. She dresses as a bunny and clears out all traces of one's former partner after a breakup. Her eccentric life leads her into many new experiences with her daughter, clients, and a new love interest. I really enjoyed getting to know Billie and was charmed by her outlook on life. I did not connect with this plot as much as Dawson's former book but overall this was a fun, sweet read and I am eager to see what she writes next. Gosh both Billie and her daughter were insufferable here. One more mention of blogging and Instagram and I was going to scream. Billie was constantly sticking her nose in other peoples business with the guise of helping them, super annoying. I didn’t find the description of her wayward home charming either, it sounded like a hovel she was making excuses for. Oh I’m so eccentric teehee! Blah.

I think maybe this plot could have worked if Billie wasn’t so flaky or out of touch.

I was a big fan of Matchmaking for Beginners and was super excited to read Maddie Dawson’s latest novel.

I loved the main character, Billie, and enjoyed reading a romance with a woman of 50+ as the heroine. Very sweet and also made me laugh out loud several times throughout the book. Another win for Maddie, excited to see what she comes up with next.

A quirky journey of self discovery and learning to believe in love again

Billie is turning 60 years old and has lived a very complex life. Three husbands, one who left her with a baby for another woman, one that ended in divorce, and one that left her widowed. She has raised a daughter on her own for over 3 decades. These days she is the Heartbreak Bunny, a concept she came up with her best friend and has been a success. She goes into homes dressed as a bunny and removes all traces of a persons ex to help them with their heartbreak. When she goes a little off script on a client it leads to many new opportunities, many complications, and maybe a new outlook on love

I had a good time with this one, but it crossed over into it becoming quite repetitive, the characters were too much like caricatures and it felt too zany. I lost my connection to Billie and I just got annoyed by the end.

Snap Out of It was a fun book that was ultimately just a little too aggressively quirky for my taste. Billie, an older woman with three marriages under her belt, dreams up a new business one drunken night with her best friend. The business? Dressing up in a bunny costume and going into people's homes to help them get over a heartbreak by removing items associated with said heartbreak. Billie's daughter is a social media influencer whose perfect life is falling apart, Billie's narcissistic first husband has decided he wants her back, and Billie has a potential new love interest on the horizon as well. Billie's over-the-top chaotic life and the weird touches of magic in this novel never managed to draw me in, but I think this is definitely the right book for a reader who enjoys an eccentric older protagonist. Loved it!! I would definitely find it creepy if a person in a bunny costume showed up at my house and hopped around to gather mementos of previous relationships. It's hard to believe Billie actually made a living doing this, but people apparently loved the Heartbreak Bunny. Billie was the most interesting person lived quite a life. She collected people and lived to the beat of her own drum. Louise on the other hand was the exact opposite of her mom. I couldn't stand Louise and her fake life. She had to post about everything. I hated how she tried to guilt her mom about getting back together with Victor. Victor cheated on her nonstop, left her for another women and never saw his daughter. Louise wanted Billie to simply forgive him. The worst part was when she moved Victor into Billie's home without even talking to her. I found it hard to like Louise, because everything about her was annoying. Although she couldn't top Victor. As soon as he showed up, I knew he was scheming. Victor only thought about himself. The book had some laugh out moments. I loved it from start to finish. Who would leave maple syrup on the floor for so many years without cleaning it up?

Definitely recommend the book. It was a fun read. Loved the characters, story and writing style. Look forward to reading more books by the author.

This was just okay for me. I’ve loved Maddie Dawson other novels and this one too a little too long to really find it’s groove. Enjoyable overall though

Billie knows that love almost always ends badly. After a drunken night with her friend, she has come up with the heartbreak bunny. She dresses as a bunny and comes to your house and helps rid your world and heart of its heartbreak. She is going viral, meanwhile her daughters life is falling apart, and her first ex husband is popping back up trying to be in her life.

This book was just an absolute delight! Billie was one of those characters you just wish were real and a part of your life. I loved all the roommates she collected, and her bunny-ing was so dang hysterical. While this book made me laugh out loud multiple times, it also hit right in the feels at times too. Billie was such a strong female character that didn’t let anyone push her around, and I loved it so much. When you get to the part in the car with Victor-gah just perfection!

I have been a fan of Maggie Dawson since reading “A Piece of Normal.” Her quirky view of the world is always a breath of fresh air.

“Snap Out of It” is no different. Here, we meet sixty-year-old Billie who may not believe in fairy tales but is determined to live life to the fullest. Staring out as a joke between friends, she creates Snap Out of It, LLC, a business that focuses on getting people to let go of their broken hearts. Billie is the Heartbreak Bunny who works best in a bunny costume. Yet, as she becomes more popular, her own heart break, Victor, returns.

As typical with Maddie Dawson’s work, this was an enjoyable read with a memorable set of characters. I appreciate how Billie perceptions change—even if love doesn’t mean flowers and moonlights, it can still be quite rewarding.

There’s always time to fall in love. I adored this book and Billie too! How many times have we wondered if we’re just not destined to find our true love? Even when we’re in our early 20s and we still have a life ahead of us. Billie reminds us that it’s never too late to fall for someone, someone who you really like and connect with. I appreciated the detail about her wedding. Yes, she had previous weddings, but those were not the ideal standard she had for them. This last wedding was everything she wanted it to be making up for the previous ones. And the idea of Heartbreak Bunny is one I can get behind. I would love to have a bunny picking up stuff from past relationships, it would make the heartbreak hurt a little less. This is a book that will stay with people for life. Whether it’s about a relationship with a significant other, a friend, daughter, or even yourself, there are many things to learn from this story.

I love this author! Why didn’t I discover any of her books before?!

The writing is so good! Full of warmth, humour, charm and it feels like home!

I don’t know if it’s my age (I’m not that old and I’m not too young, always in the midst of a perpetual midlife crisis) that I enjoy this book so much!

This is one women’s general fiction that I actually ended up reading in one sitting (when it becomes more thrilling than the thrillers you know). I actually wanted to know what the main character does or says next! I am that hooked and in love with the writing.

Please don’t pick up this book just for the sake of another new book but for the goodness it would provide you when you read it.

The story reflects exactly the age of the characters, today’s social media craze - it’s affect and effects, what it is when you believe in love and leaving whatever baggage it is that we all carry when all it does is drag us.

Go for this and judge me and the Billie all you want but do confess when you fall in love with the book. I am so sure so many will love this book when it comes out.

This is a good book for someone that has a prickly mother-daughter relationship or feels more disappointed by love than happy in love.

What I loved: Calvin. He’s by far the best character in the book. Mason. Persistent, patient, loves his kid. Joey. So gullible and sappy it’s roll-your-eyes funny.

What I didn’t love: I felt there were inconsistencies in Billie’s character and didn’t care if she got her happy ending. She is so extreme in her anti-love stance that it seems unrealistic that she’d change that drastically. I was surprised that such a “strong” character would let her daughter and ex-husband run all over her. Louise. What a brat. I’m glad she found her strength in the end, but I didn’t enjoy her at all.

I typically enjoy Maddie Dawson’s stories, but this one fell flat for me.

This story is full of whimsy and interesting quirky characters who come with their own complexity. It’s refreshing to read a story about a 60 year old MC and follow along as you hope for her HEA.

Didn't hate this one but also didn't love it. I'm also not going to lie there were times I wanted to smack Billie. Cause I mean after three failed marriages hey let's take a step back. It got better towards the end. I do think this one would have made a better movie than book.

This story was filled with whimsy and important lessons on love. Billie is such an endearing character and her business to help others overcome heartbreak is unique.
Dawson writes characters that have many facets. This was a joy to read.
