“Snap Out of It” is a rom-com by Maddie Dawson. What I really liked about this book is that the main character is a mature woman (more of that please!). But what I also found lovely was the genuine humor in this book - from the idea of the business to the main character dealing with things love related in both her life and other’s. There are also some lines that one needs to be a parent to really appreciate. At times the story repeated itself (in particular when the main character related how she came up with the idea for the business) and at times the plot wandered off into “wait, what” areas. And there is a titch of potential, let’s call it possibly otherly influence. In all, an enjoyable and quick read with wonderful characters.

Snap Out of It by Maddie Dawson was a sweet, quick and entertaining read.

I was HOOKED from the start, and I devoured it at an alarming rate.
I really wasn’t sure about this book initially & if it would hold my attention or give me what I craved, but y'all I am so glad I gave it a shot!

This book was so cleverly plotted & written with some funny moments.
Her characters are complex and interesting, which makes this book that much more enjoyable.
The story had very appealing main characters.
I enjoyed following Billie's journey to finding love.
It was so good though! I think I’ll definitely be reading more of Maddie Dawson's books .
A nice romance of an author new to me.

Maddie Dawson is one of my favorite authors of romantic comedy and family relationships. She does not disappoint in this book that centers around the Heartbreak Bunny, a self-indulgent daughter, and a smarmy ex-husband. Of course there is also Mason, a TV journalist, that she is only “friends” with since the Heartbreak Bunny does NOT believe in romance or love. Cute, zany and a fun read. I received a complimentary copy of this book from Lake Union Publishing and NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
